This is a really fun mosaic griddler puzzle with over 100 levels. Some of the cells contain bonus power ups such as a pickaxe which can be used to reveal the state of one cell, a keg (?) which will give you the chance to make one more mistake and a penguin which will highlight one cell. This is a really fun mosaic griddler puzzle with over 100 levels. Some of the cells contain bonus power ups such as a pickaxe which can be used to reveal the state of one cell, a keg (?) which will give you the chance to make one more mistake and a penguin which will highlight one cell. The object of this game is to logically fill in cells on a grid such as a 10 x 10 square, by reason of deduction. I really liked the feature of the game that automatically fills in the tiles not available after all the correct cells were filled which means you don't have to go through the cells right clicking unavailable cells. There is a fantasy garden to build after each level but there are no choices, it just gives you an addition to your garden and I thought this feature was worthless but some may enjoy it. I'm also not sure if the tutorial is specific enough for beginners because there is just one page prior to the game to read about the power ups and the left-right clicking features so if you've never played griddlers, mosaics, pic cross type games before, hang in there because once you have figured out the concept, I know you'll be hooked, enjoy! With nothing new on my plate to play today, I thought I would give this little game a try and have to say that I was quite impressed. I love every little thing about Fantasy Mosaics and can say that this game lives up to the standards and in many ways exceed what I love about the World Mosaics games.

One of the most important things about the griddler or pictogram puzzles, IMHO, is the ease of using the mouse to complete the puzzles. The development team for Fantasy Mosaics has done a terrific job in this respect and I find that the technical aspects of the puzzle are handled quite well. Some of the more recent griddlers are lackluster but this is quite a colorful little game. Another big plus for me is that there is no time limit to complete the puzzle. I can play at my leisure and enjoy every moment with no pressure - my ideal way to play.

IMHO, this is a five-star game and one I will enjoy playing often. Congratulations and kudos to the developers on an excellent game that I heartily recommend to my fellow gamers who are enamored of this type of puzzle game. Needless to say, this game is a definite purchase for me. Show less

Mosaic games are some of my favorites, so when I saw this one, I thought I'd try it. This review is based on the demo only, though I have already purchased the game.

For those who haven't played a mosaic-type game, there is little to no tutorial, so you might want to start with a game that gives you a step-by-step tutorial, like World Mosaics. If you are experienced in this type of game, you can jump in right away without wading through a long introduction. The first levels start with a seven-by-seven square but the game grid grows rapidly.

There is no storyline to the game, however after each section, you add to your fantasy garden. I play with the sound off, so I can't comment on that aspect. While this game plays very similar to other games of this type, Fantasy Mosaics does some filling in for you. So, if you find all the blocks in a row, it will fill in the empty spaces on the rest of the row. I wasn't sure I liked that new twist, but I kind of liked it after I got used to it. You can still make individual unused blocks, but if you are working on a long row with only one block and you determine the location of that block, the game automatically fills in the rest of the row.

i like to get a perfect score on a level and will replay it until I do, so I was a bit disappointed that there is no replay option when you go to the menu. The only option is to back all the way out to the exit screen, hit play again, and try to figure out where you were in the game. The different levels in each section are not well marked (with how you did) so it took a bit of experimenting to figure out how that worked.

If you like mosaic games, this one is definitely worth trying. Show less

Not much of a tutorial but even as I'm still a beginner having started this game in the last couple of months with the releases at BFG, I still get tired of the long tutorial so a simple one is good but if you are not familiar at all with this game, I suggest to go through a tutorial at the free World Mosaics game (or the other griddler games here). Also it may seem easy in the beginning but it does become harder with bigger boards as you go on, so a good challenge. I can't comment on the sound since I can't hear but the visuals are appealing and its neat to not have to fill in every X square, since the game will do that for you when you filled in the correct squares. It just makes it smoother playing. Love that it does that.

GREAT game! A favorite, helpful feature is the auto-fill that fills in remaining 'no' squares of a row or column after you correctly mark all the 'yes' squares. For example, 15-square row, 5 are part of image, 10 are not, and you just finished marking the 5th 'yes' square... the game AUTOmatically cancels out any of 10 'no' cells that you haven't already crossed off. GREAT game! A favorite, helpful feature is the auto-fill that fills in remaining 'no' squares of a row or column after you correctly mark all the 'yes' squares. For example, 15-square row, 5 are part of image, 10 are not, and you just finished marking the 5th 'yes' square... the game AUTOmatically cancels out any of 10 'no' cells that you haven't already crossed off. I've gotten pretty spoiled by this feature now.

Other pros... images are colorful, grids go up to higher numbers of squares very quickly, and has a good variety of images - with names of what they are. ALSO liked that no themes were mentioned in the various sections, which made for GOOD REPLAYABILITY by not triggering memories of what the images might be.

Cons... no storyline - just ads items to a garden in the order the game wants, no trophies or specific goals, no way to tell if I had an error when I played a level before - so no way to try for perfect play on every level, grids don't go higher than 15 x 20, and only 100 levels - wanted more levels because I enjoyed it so much!

BIG con was the music and sound does not totally mute no matter how many times I try. There's still enough sound that I can't listen to audiobooks while playing unless I turn them up a tiny bit louder than I normally would.

Hope this dev team comes out with MORE versions of this game!! I purchased the game about 15 minutes in to the demo, and definitely recommend it for those that enjoy these types of games! Show less

I just wanted to say it is a really fun game to play if you like these kind of games. The 1 thing I REALLY love is when you go to go back to the menu after playing it doesn't say are you sure you want to quit & when you go to exit the game it just exits when you hit exit none of that are you sure bullcrap.

I recommend this game!

LOVED IT! For those that like this kind of game will really enjoy it. The creators developed a new gift for us: when you complete a row it fills automatically and save us a lot of work. I tried demo and immediatelly bought it and can´t stop playing. It is very funny. I recommend and recommend and recommend... Congratulations!!!

I usually get all the mosaic games but this one is by far my favorite. the auto fill of blanks is great. It also gives you extra hints by lining out even numbers whose blocks are not surrounded by fills. Given that, what I like best is the level of challenge. It doesn't go insanely difficult. It is a nice mix of easy and difficult so I can come back at any time for a quick mosaic fix.

Thank goodness this game is not from 8 floor. Their games are horrible. I really enjoyed this game. I love the way it fills in the spaces when you've finished a column or row. I bought it.
