General Tips
- This is the official guide for Chimeras: Price of Greed.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show HOP solutions. It will identify the location of the HOP and the inventory item acquired.
- This guide will show solutions for non-random puzzles. Please read the in-game instructions for each puzzle.
- In this game, you will sometimes have to select the new scene to trigger dialog, cut-scenes, or tasks prior to interacting with the scene.
Chapter 1: Outside Mansion
- Talk; earn MANSION KEY (A).
- Take RUBBER GLOVE (B).
- Take CARRINGTON FAMILY STAMP; use MANSION KEY; select handle (C).
- Use CARRINGTON FAMILY STAMP; take PENCIL and FILE; read note (D).
- Take GAS BURNER; select handle (E).
- Use FILE; earn DOOR HANDLE (F).

- Go forward.
- Talk; earn PLIERS (H).
- Use RUBBER GLOVE; earn WIRE; take VIOLIN BOW (I).

- Take KETTLE WITH WATER (K); use VIOLIN BOW (L); earn ACID.
- Take INKWELL and BUTLER'S DIARY (M).

- Place EDGAR'S TRINKET; take MONEY SYMBOL (E).
- MONEY SYMBOL on WALLET; take AWL and 1st HIEROGLYPH BUTTON.
- Walk down, right.
- Place DRAWER TILE (F); play HOP; earn EDGAR FIGURINE.
- Go right.
- Use AWL; take TYPEWRITER KEY (G).
- Walk down 2x; go left.
- Place TYPEWRITER KEY; take 2nd HIEROGLYPH BUTTON and HAND DRILL GRIP (H).
- Place 2 HIEROGLYPH BUTTONS; select (Ix8-Jx6)-(Ix2-Jx2).
- Take EDGAR'S WILL (K).
- Walk down, right.
- Give EDGAR'S WILL; select (L).
- Go left.
- Use PLIERS; select and take DRILL HANDLE (M).
- DRILL BIT, HAND DRILL GRIP, and DRILL HANDLE on BROKEN HAND DRILL; take HAND DRILL.
- Walk down, right.
- Select; use HAND DRILL; take TYPEWRITER KEY and 2/3 BEAD (N).
- Walk down 2x; go left.
- Use TYPEWRITER KEY; take GORDON FIGURINE (O).
- Place GORDON FIGURINE and EDGAR FIGURINE; open doors (P).
- Play HOP; earn FAMILY CREST (Q).
- Place FAMILY CREST; take INK DEVELOPER and 3/3 BEAD (R).
- BEADS on BROKEN NECKLACE; take GLORIA'S BROOCH NECKLACE.
- Walk down, right, and left.
- Use GLORIA'S BROOCH NECKLACE; take SCISSORS and OBSIDIAN SHARD (A).
- Use OBSIDIAN SHARD; take 1st DARK MAGIC SYMBOL PART (B).
- Use SCISSORS; take DRAWER HANDLE (C).

- Select and remove lid; use BRUSH; earn BRUSH WITH OIL (M).

- Go forward.
- Select and use SCISSORS; talk and earn 1/3 MECHANISM PART (A).
- Place BAT AMULET; take BLANK PAPER and GEM (B).
- INK DEVELOPER on BLANK PAPER; take SAFE COMBINATION.
- Take BROKEN FISHING ROD (C).
- Walk down.
- Place GEM; take INTRICATE HANDLE (D).
- Go forward.
