Whether you use this document as a reference when things get difficult or as a roadmap to get you from beginning to end, we’re pretty sure you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Beginning with General Tips, this post quickly moves on to complete breakdown of the Mae Q'West and the Sign of the Stars game – complete with annotated screenshots from actual game play! We hope you find this information useful as you play your way through the game. Use the menu below to quickly jump to whatever part of the game you need help with. Remember to visit the Big Fish Games Forums if you find you need more help. Have fun!

GENERAL TIPS

  • There can only be one game in progress at a time. Make sure to select "Continue" when you come back to play. Selecting "New Game" will erase your previous progress.
  • Many of the levels use "Shopping List Gameplay". You are challenged to locate all the items on the list, including a "Key Item", which is marked by stars in the list.
  • Another type of level uses "Differences Gameplay". Find the key item and the differences. NOTE: you must click on the actual item on the correct side of the screen. This does not have a dual–cursor. The differences alternate sides, so you screen may be a bit different than the screenshots posted here.
  • Each item has monetary value, with the more difficult items to find being worth more.
  • To complete a level, you must locate the "Key Item" and a percentage of the shopping list or differences The "Solve" button will highlight when you have collected enough items. You can also monitor this in the phone menu bar. You will see the minimum number of items required to complete the level along with the overall percentage.
  • In order to get 100% for the level, you must find all the items.
  • Hints cost $5 and you are limited to 4 per "Shopping list" screen and are limited by your funds in the "Differences" levels. Shuffle is free and will rearrange the shopping list. Missed clicks cost $1 each.
  • You can replay each level, but it will cost $100 and you will lose any previously earned money and stars on that level.
  • You will receive text messages through out the game that will give you hints about the level or general information on Mae’s adventure. Click on the "Messages" Button in the phone menu bar to read the most current message.
  • The World Map displays Mae’s progress. Depending on the chapter, you will have one or more available levels. Areas that have not been unlocked or discovered will appear gray and completed areas will be in color. This is also where you will access the Zodiac Map.
  • Starting with your visit to the Antique Store, you will be able to collect Zodiac Stars. Zodiac Stars will unlock Constellations from the Zodiac Map. You can keep track of them in the phone menu bar. Purchase all the constellations PRIOR to the Fortune Teller level to open up a bonus level.

  • Here is where you will spend your cash and Zodiac Stars. If you are able to purchase all 12 Constellations over the course of the game, you will win a special reward. The Zodiac Map is reached via the Worlds Map.

LEAPFROG MINI–GAME

  • This mini–game allows you to earn additional Zodiac Stars and will show up in other levels. The goal is to remove all the blue gems from the board by jumping them with another gem. You can use both the blue and yellow gems to jump.

  • The Key Item, Zodiac Stars and differences are marked. This also has a mini–game called Game Buddy.

GAME BUDDY

  • This is a match 3 game in which the object is to match 3 or more in a row over the "Target Tiles" until they are eliminated. Swap adjacent tile to make a match. This mini–game is found in several levels.
