General Tips
- This is the official guide for Christmas Stories: The Gift of the Magi.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show HOP solutions. It will identify the location of the HOP and the inventory item acquired.
- This guide will show solutions for non-random puzzles. Please read the in-game instructions for each puzzle.

Chapter 1: The Dillingham's House
- Talk to Jack Frost; earn the GLOBE OF GOOD DEEDS (A).
- Take the MAGIC STAR (B).

- Combine the BOX and MAGIC STAR (inventory).
- Restore the berries (E).
- Take the GOLDEN FEATHER (F).

- Look at the BROKEN RACKETS and remove the torn nets. Add the SNOWSHOE INSTRUCTIONS, BRANCHES, RIBBONS, and STRAPS to make the SNOWSHOES (inventory).
- Use the SNOWSHOES and PHOTO WITH ADDRESS (F).
- Take the SOLVENT (G).
- Take the BROKEN BROOM (H).
- Walk down and right.
- Use the ABSORBENT COTTON and SOLVENT (I).
- Take the ELECTRICAL TAPE and the NEEDLE AND THREAD (J).
- Combine the BROKEN BROOM and ELECTRICAL TAPE to make the BROOM (inventory).
- Walk down and left.
- Use the BROOM; play the HOP to earn the BELLS (L).
- Go forward.
- Take the GARLAND (M).
- Look at the GARLAND (inventory); untangle the lights as shown (N).
- Add GOODY to the lights; take the CLIMBER GOODY.
- Walk down.
- Use the CLIMBER GOODY to take the MITTEN (@).
- Go to the Office.
- Use the MITTEN; take the HOT COALS (O).
- Return to Outside Souvenir Shop.
Chapter 2: Souvenir Shop
- Use the HOT COALS; turn the knob (P).
- Walk forward.
- Select (Q).
- Take the MAGIC STAR (R).
- Combine the BOX and MAGIC STAR (inventory).
- Hit Berta's Elf 10x (S); take the SNOW QUEEN.
- Take the WALLET (A).
- Open the WALLET; take the PALETTE AMULET and TWO COINS (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place the SNOW QUEEN (B).
- Use C on D; select D.
- Use E on F; select F.
- Use G on H; select H.
- Use I on J; select J.
- Use K on L; use M on L.
- Take the IRON CUP (N).
- Walk down.
- Place the PALETTE AMULET; take the PAINTS (Q).
- Use the IRON CUP to take the FROZEN SAP (R).
- Go to the Office.
- Use the FROZEN SAP; take the SAP (S).
- Return to the Souvenir Shop.
- Place the SAP and PAINTS (T).
- Restore the 5 pieces (1-5).
- Paint the figure to match the example (A).
- Take the 1/2 BAG OF MONEY from David.
- Give the GOLDEN FEATHER and PAPER; take ALEX'S NOTE and GATE KEY (B).
- Walk down 2x.
- Use the GATE KEY (C).
- Go right.
- Use ALEX'S NOTE; earn the GIRL'S DOLL (D).
- Take the FLOWER ON CHAIN (E).
- Take the FILE (F).
- Combine the UNFINISHED BALLERINA FIGURINE and FILE to make the BALLERINA FIGURINE (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Use the FILE; take the NUTCRACKER FIGURINE and SCARF (G).
- Go forward.
- Use the FILE to take the SOLDIER FIGURINE (H).
- Go forward.
- Place the BALLERINA FIGURINE, SOLDIER FIGURINE, and NUTCRACKER FIGURINE; pose the figures as shown (J).
- Take the KNIGHT'S HELMET (K).
- Return to The Wilsons' Mansion.
- Place the KNIGHT'S HELMET (L); play the HOP and earn the SHIELD.
- Combine the SHIELD and SCARF to make the SLED (inventory).
- Use the SLED (M).
- Take the BLUNT SKATES and BREAD (O).
- Give the GIRL'S DOLL; take the BROKEN BROOCH (P).
- Go to the Souvenir Shop.
- Use the BLUNT SKATES to make the SKATES (Q).
- Return to the River.
- Use the SKATES (R).
- Take the FISHING LINE and TONGS (S).
- Return to the Wilsons' Mansion.
- Use the BREAD; take the MAGNET, EMERALD, and BUTTON (T).
- Combine the MAGNET and FISHING LINE to make the MAGNET ON FISHING LINE (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place and press the BUTTON; take the GOLD SPRAY (A).
- Go to the River.
- Use the MAGNET ON FISHING LINE 3x, removing the useless items. You earn the MAGIC STAR and IRON PATTERN (B).
- Combine the BOX and MAGIC STAR (inventory).
- Select E-H-I-D-Ix3-D-Fx3-Ix2-F-I-F-Ix3-Fx3.
- Take the CHRISTMAS TREE.
- Walk down.
- Place the CHRISTMAS TREE (P).
- Use GOODY (Q).
- Remove all the gems by firing matching gems at them.
- You are able to make bank shots (R).
- Earn the DIAMOND.
- Combine the BROKEN BROOCH, IRON PATTERN, GOLD SPRAY, FLOWER ON CHAIN, TONGS, DIAMOND, and EMERALD (inventory).
- Select M-N-O-P-Q.
- Take CHLOE'S BROOCH.
- Walk left.
- Use CHLOE'S BROOCH (A).
- Play the HOP; earn the BROOCH (B).
- Use the BROOCH (A).
- Walk down.
- Talk to Mr. Wilson; earn the 2/2 BAG OF MONEY.
- Walk down 2x.
- Place the 2 BAGS OF MONEY (C).
Chapter 3: In Workshop
- Take the PILLOW (F).
- Take the MANNEQUIN AMULET and use the PILLOW to take PETER'S DIARY (G).
- Move the mug; take the DIARY KEY (H).
- Use the DIARY KEY on PETER'S DIARY (inventory).
- Play the HOP; earn the MAGIC STAR.
- Combine the BOX and MAGIC STAR (inventory).
- Select the stars in numerical order (1-29).
- Final picture (I).
- Take the HAT AMULET.
- Use the HAT AMULET and MANNEQUIN AMULET (J).
- Walk right.
- Take the 1st BELL (K).
- Take the TWEEZERS (L).
- Use the TWEEZERS to take the ROCKING HORSE and 1/5 COLORED CANDY (M).
- Walk down.
- Place the ROCKING HORSE; take the BROKEN FIGURINE and SPARKLER (N).

- Place the ANGEL (Q).
- Restore the notes (R).
- Turn the handle (S).
- Go forward.
- Take the GLUE (A).
- Take the FIGURINE PART (B).
- Combine the BROKEN FIGURINE, FIGURINE PART, and GLUE to make the FIGURINE (inventory).
- Take the DUSTER (C).
- Walk down.
- Place the FIGURINE; pose the figurines as shown (D).
- Take the LITTLE APRON and COLORED BULB (E).
- Combine the DUSTER, GOODY, and LITTLE APRON to make the GOODY CLEANER (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place the COLORED BULB (F).
- Use GOODY CLEANER to take the SKEWERS (G).
- Walk right and forward.
- Place the SKEWERS (H).
- This mini-game is randomly generated; a possible solution is shown (I).
- Take the MESSAGE FROM MICE (J).
- Open the MESSAGE FROM MICE; take the HOOF (inventory).

Chapter 4: The Fitting-Room
- Use the KEY (G).

- Play the HOP; earn the CUDDLY BEAR.
- Walk down.
- Place the CUDDLY BEAR; take the DOUGH and RACCOON IMAGE (A).
- Go forward.
- Place the RACCOON IMAGE and move the items; take the SPOON and FACE SEAL (B).
- Walk down 2x.
- Remove the lid and use the SPOON to take the SPOONFUL OF SUGAR and 1/2 BUTTON (C).
- Combine the OLD OVEN-TRAY, COOKIE RECIPE, COOKIE CUTTER, DOUGH, SPOONFUL OF SUGAR, and FACE STAMP to make the OVEN RAY WITH COOKIE (inventory).
- Return to the Attic.
- Place the OVEN-TRAY WITH COOKIE; take the 2/3 ABIGAIL'S LETTER, 2/2 BUTTON, and 1st DRAGON (D).
- Walk down.
- Place and press the 2 BUTTONS; take the 2nd DRAGON (E).
- Walk down.
- Place the 2 DRAGONS and turn the handle (F).
- Walk right.
- Take the HARE PAW (G).
- Take the 1/3 BALL (H).
- Take the MOSAIC MOON (I).
- Return to the Attic.
- Place the HARE PAW and DRUMSTICKS; take the MOSAIC SUN and WIND-UP MOUSE (J).
