General Tips
- This is the official guide for Danse Macabre: Crimson Cabaret.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show screenshots of the HOPs, however, it will mention when an HOP is available and the inventory item you will collect from it.
- This guide will give step-by-step solutions for all puzzles which are not random. Please read the instructions in the game for each puzzle.
Chapter 1: The Case
- Take the 1/2 LOCK PIECE and DOORKNOB (A).
- Open the curtain (B).
- Use the DOORKNOB (C).
- Turn the knob; take the HOT WATER (D).
- Pour the HOT WATER, add lemon and sugar; take the TEA (E).
- You will keep the LEMON.
- Give the TEA to Monsieur Lautrec (F).
- Take the ENVELOPE (G).
- Open the ENVELOPE; read the note and take the PROMO CARD (inventory).
- Walk forward.
- Remove the 3 bushes; play the HOP to earn the KNIFE (H).
- Try the key; use the KNIFE on the door (I).
- Take the PACKAGE (J).
- Open the PACKAGE to find the 2/2 LOCK PIECE (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place the 2 LOCK PIECES (K).
- Slide the knob as indicated (L).
- Move the items and take the FORENSIC KIT (M).
- Walk forward twice.
- Give the driver the PROMO CARD (N).
- Select the Moulin Rouge Entrance on the map (O).
- Take the SCREW (P).
- Take the GLUE (Q).
- Enter the foyer (R).
- Remove the police tape.
- Take the COCKTAIL SHAKER and SILVER SPOON (T).
- Use the SILVER SPOON to find the DOOR KNOCKER PLATE and 1/3 COIN (U).
- Note the locker mini-game (V).
- Use the FORENSIC KIT on Sophie (W).
- Use the magnifying glass on her head; find the 5 items (A).
- Turn Sophie's head and use the cotton swab on her nose (B).
- Use the forensic pincers, and then the gloves to take the WRAPPED ROSE (C).
- After talking to Detective Le Blanc, take the 1/3 PAPERS (D).
- Open the WRAPPED ROSE to find the 2/3 PAPERS and the 1/2 ROSE (inventory).
- Walk down.
- After talking to the Janitor, take the 3/3 PAPERS (F).
- Use the SILVER SPOON to take the 2/3 COIN (G).
- Restore the 3 PAPERS to make the STRANGE PAPER (inventory).
- Walk forward and select the locker mini-game.
- Place the STRANGE PAPER (H).
- Position the rings as shown (I).
- Take the note and L'ENFER PAMPHLET (J).
- Walk down twice and give the driver the L'ENFER PAMPHLET.
- Take the 3/3 COIN (A).
- Select the door (B).
- Place the 3 COINS (C).
- Position the figures as shown (D).
- Walk forward.
- Take the locket and the MATRYOSHKA DOLL (E).
- Take the CANDLE (F).
- Open the curtain and take the BRUSH (G).
- Combine the GLUE and BRUSH to make the GLUE (inventory).
- Note the painting on the back wall (H).
- Walk down.
- Use the CANDLE (I).
- Play the HOP to earn the POSTER FRAGMENT (J).
- Walk forward and select the painting.
- Use the GLUE and place the POSTER FRAGMENT (K).
- Select the sets of 3 animals in the order pink-blue-green.
- You earn the MATRYOSHKA TOP.
- Combine the MATRYOSHKA DOLL and MATRYOSHKA TOP to find BARON VASILYEVICH'S CARD and the MATRYOSHKA DOLL.
- Walk down twice and give BARON VASILYEVICH'S CARD to the driver.
Chapter 2: The Roses
- Take the DOOR KNOCKER HANDLE (L).
- Note the spider web mini-game (M).
- Place the DOOR KNOCKER PLATE, SCREW, and DOOR KNOCKER HANDLE (N).
- Use the knocker and enter the Villa Foyer.
- Take the newspaper, PEPPER, and CAN OPENER (O).
- Take the DOG WHISTLE PART and place the MATRYOSHKA DOLL (P).
- Take the photograph and SPIDER KNOB (Q).
- Walk down and select the spider web mini-game.
- Place the SPIDER KNOB on the web.
- Move the spider in the indicated path (R).
- Walk right.
- Take the FOUNTAIN VALVE (S); place the FOUNTAIN VALVE (T).
- Play the HOP to earn the 2/2 ROSE (U).
- Open the FORENSIC KIT; select the shelf (inventory).
- Place the 2 ROSES (A).
- Open the case and select two swabs (B).
- Select the magnifying glass (C).
- Select pairs (color-coded).
- Take the formula (D).
- Select matching parts (color-coded).
- Take the ROSE EVIDENCE (E).
- Give the ROSE EVIDENCE to the Baron (F).
- Take the CERAMICS SHARD (G).
- Walk down.
- Read the note and use the CERAMICS SHARD on the rope (H).
- Play the HOP to earn the TOMATO CAN (I).
- Use the CAN OPENER on the TOMATO CAN to make the OPEN TOMATO CAN (inventory).
- Return to Café L'Enfer.
- Place the COCKTAIL SHAKER; add the LEMON, OPEN TOMATO CAN, and PEPPER (J).
- Take the HANGOVER REMEDY (K).
- Use the HANGOVER REMEDY (L).
- Take the CABINET KEY (M).
- Place the CABINET KEY to play a HOP and earn SOPHIE'S LETTERS (N).
- Open SOPHIE'S LETTER and take the WINDMILL KEY (inventory).
- Go to the Moulin Rouge Entrance.
- Give SOPHIE'S LETTER to Monsieur Lautrec (A).
- Place the WINDMILL KEY (B).
- Enter the Alley.
- Take the DOG WHISTLE CODE and the DOG WHISTLE PART (C).
- Combine the 2 DOG WHISTLE PARTS to make the DOG WHISTLE (inventory).
- Use the DOG WHISTLE and the DOG WHISTLE CODE (D).
- Press the buttons E-F-G-E-E-G.
- Enter the Backyard and open the gates.
- Take the FORK (H).
- Look at the monkey (I).
- Take the REFLECTOR FILTER and note the organ (J).
- Use the FORENSIC KIT (K).
- Use the magnifying glass on the mask (L).
- Locate the items (green).
- Use the magnifying glass, and then the cotton swab (M).
- Move the cloak and use the magnifying glass; locate the items (blue).
- Take the FLASK (N).
- Take the CORKSCREW from the FLASK (inventory).
- Note the elephant mini-game (O).
- Use the CORKSCREW on the lock (P).
- Walk left.
- Use the FORK to take the 1/3 ORGAN PIPE (Q).
- Walk forward.
- Take the VIOLIN BOW (R).
- Take the 2/3 ORGAN PIPE (S).
- Take the PUPPET'S HAND (T).
- Walk down twice.
- Use the VIOLIN BOW to take the TASSEL (A).
- Walk left.
- Place the TASSEL; pull the tassels (1-4).
- Play the HOP to earn the UMBRELLA (B).
- Walk down twice.
- Use the UMBRELLA (C).
- Take the 3/3 ORGAN PIPE and the MAGNET (D).
- Return to the Backyard and select the organ.
- Place the 3 ORGAN PIPES on the organ.
- Press E; repeat sequence H-I-J-K.
- Press F; repeat sequence L-M-N-O-P.
- Press G; repeat sequence H-Q-K-I-J-R.
- Take the RIVET.
- Walk left.
- Place the PUPPET'S HAND (S).
- Place the RIVET (T).
- Take the DRESSING ROOM KEY (U).
- Walk forward.
- Use the MAGNET to take the CLOWN TOKEN (V).
- Use the DRESSING ROOM KEY in the lock and go forward (W).
- Remove the screen (A).
- Swap the shoes as shown (B).
- Pick up the shoe, turn it over, and take the TAROT CARD (C).
- Play the HOP to earn the FAN (D).
- Take the SCALPEL (E).
- Walk down twice.
- Place the TAROT CARD; play the HOP and take the CONTROL PANEL LEVER (F).
- Walk forward.
- Place the CONTROL PANEL LEVER; pull the levers (1-5).
- Walk right.
- Take the RIBBON (G).
- Take the AIRPLANE (H).
- Open the AIRPLANE and take the THEATER TOKEN (inventory).
- Walk down twice.
- Use the THEATER TOKEN (I).
- Walk left.
- Take the FEATHERS and turn the hat over (J).
- Use the SCALPEL to take the MUSIC CARD (K).
- Take the WINDING KEY (L).
- Return Backstage.
- Place the RIBBON and FEATHERS to make the FEATHER DUSTER (A).
- Walk forward.
- Take the photo; use the WINDING KEY and MUSIC CARD (B).
- Take the REFLECTOR KNOB and photo (C).
- Return to the Balcony.
- Place the REFLECTOR FILTER; touch the light 3 times (D).
- Place the REFLECTOR KNOB; slide both knobs and turn the light (E).
- Go to the Stage.
- Use the SCALPEL (F).
- Place the CLOWN TOKEN (G).
- Solution: 6-12-15-9-3-6-12-9-10-8-7-9-11-14-17-16-10-8-5-2-1-7-9-11-14-17-16-10-8-5-2-3-6-9-11-14-13-10-8-5-4-7-9-11-14-13-10-8-5-6-9-11-10-8-9.
- Enter the trapdoor.
- Use the FEATHER DUSTER (H).
- Take the photo and LEATHER PATCH (I).
- Take the LADDER (J).
- Play the HOP to earn the STRANGE KEY (K).
- Walk down 3 times.
- Take the note and place the STRANGE KEY (L).
- Take the ICEPICK and PEANUTS (M).
- Walk down.
Chapter 3: The Elephant
- Place the LADDER (N).
- Give the PEANUTS; take the MONKEY RING (O).
- Use the MONKEY RING (P).
- Open the box; take the GOLDEN ELEPHANT (Q).
- Select the elephant leg (R).
- Place the GOLDEN ELEPHANT in the center (A).
- Select B-F-D-F-B-G-C-F-G-B-Fx5-G-E-F-G-C-Fx5-G-D-Fx5-G-Fx3-G-E-Fx5-G.
- Enter the Elephant.
- Move the cushions and take the SELTZER (H).
- Take the METAL CLOTHESPIN (I).
- Read the note (J).
- Go to the Ballroom.
- Use the SELTZER; use the METAL CLOTHESPIN to take the CHESS PIECE (K).
- Go Under the Stage.
- Move the note and use the ICEPICK to take the BRICK (L).
- Walk down.
- Use the BRICK (M).
- Remove the lid; take the SHARPENING STONE and the DULL SABRE (N).
- Go Under the Stage.
- Place the SHARPENING STONE and use the DULL SABRE on it to make the SABRE (O).
- Go to the Backyard.
- Use the SABRE on the bushes; take the PUNCTURED LEATHER HOSE (P).
- Combine the PUNCTURED LEATHER HOSE with the LEATHER PATCH to make the LEATHER HOSE (inventory).
- Enter the Elephant.
- Place the CHESS PIECE (Q).
- Take the HOOKAH (R).
- Place the HOOKAH and the LEATHER HOSE (S).
- Use the FAN on the smoke (T).
- Go to Café L'Enfer. Walk forward.
- Take the BOARD and BUCKET (A).
- Move the items; take the WOODEN HAMMER and BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL (B).
- Place the BUCKET (C).
- Use the WOODEN HAMMER to earn the BUCKET OF WATER (D).
- Use the BUCKET OF WATER (E).
- Take the EMBROIDERED CLOTH and FOLDED FLYER (F).
- Open the FOLDED FLYER to find the TOKEN HALF and FLYER (inventory).
- Walk down 3 times and give the FLYER to the driver.
- Place the BOARD (G).
- Play the HOP to earn the PIPE (H).
- Move the grass; use the spatula to take a CHUNK OF CLAY (I).
- Look at the CHUNK OF CLAY, take the PAINTER'S SPATULA, and use the TOKEN HALF on it to make the TOKEN MOLD (inventory).
- Take the WOODEN FIGURINE (J).
- Move the items and take the BUTTERFLY NUT (K).
- Go to L'Enfer Backstreet.
- Use the PAINTER'S SPATULA (L).
- Move items to find the WAX (M).
- Combine the TOKEN MOLD and the WAX to make the FILLED MOLD (inventory).
- Use the FILLED MOLD here to make the WAX TOKEN (N).
- Go to Montmartre Funicular.
- Place the WAX TOKEN (O).
- Press the buttons (1-6).
- Pull the lever (P) and take the TICKET (Q).
- Place the TICKET (R).
- Enter the Funicular Interior(S).
- Place the BUTTERFLY NUT (T).
- Remove the old pipe and turn the valve (U).
- Place the PIPE and turn the valve (V).
- Play the HOP to earn the MATCHES (W).
- Take the ENVELOPE (X).
- Open the ENVELOPE and take the BARON'S LETTER (inventory).
- Walk forward.
- Turn the handle (A).
- Use the BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL and the matches (B).
- Take the note and HANDKERCHIEF (C).
- Place the HANDKERCHIEF and the EMBROIDERED CLOTH on the workspace (D).
- Select the magnifying glass (E).
- Find the pairs (color-coded).
- Select the tweezers (F).
- Select the yarns (G).
- Take the YARN (H).
- Give the YARN to the cat (I).
- Note the map mini-game (J).
- Walk right.
- Place the WOODEN FIGURINE (K).
- Swap the tops of the figures and rotate as shown here (L).
- You earn the DANCER STICKER.
- Walk down twice.
- Place the DANCER STICKER (M).

- Walk down.

- Walk down and forward.

- Walk down.

- Pull the lever (O).

- Take the WATER DROP SYMBOL (Q).

- Walk forward.

- Hit 3 green flasks (P).
- Time your attacks for when the ball is in the green zone (Q).
