General Tips
- This is the official guide for Danse Macabre: Ominous Obsession.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show screenshots of the HOPs, however, it will mention when an HOP is available and the inventory item you'll collect from it.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
Chapter 1: The Harbor
- Open and take the FRIENDSHIP LOCKET (A).
- Talk to the man (B); take MARIA'S PURSE (C).
- Read the note (D).
- Use the FRIENDSHIP LOCKET on MARIA'S PURSE; enter the code '081920' (green).
- Take and open the envelope, letter, passport, glasses, PORTRAIT PIECE, and COIN (E).
- Insert the COIN (F); pull the lever (G).
- Take the newspaper and COAT OF ARMS (H).
- Place the COAT OF ARMS (I); take the SHIP OUTLINE, HAMMER, and CLIPPERS (J).
- Use the CLIPPERS three times (K); take the IRON SEAGULL (purple).
- Place the IRON SEAGULL (L).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (M).
- Turn left.
- Give the PURSE AND PASSPORT (N); take the map (O).
- Use the HAMMER twice (P); take the STORAGE KEY (Q) and GEAR 1/3 (R).
- Take the SHIP'S WHEEL (S).
- Turn right.
- Insert the STORAGE KEY (T).
- Play the HOP (U) to receive the RATCHET.
- Take the TWEEZERS (V); place the SHIP'S WHEEL (W).
- Take GEAR 2/3 (X).
- Take the JUSTICE CARD, MAP OF VIENNA, and GEAR 3/3 (Y).
- Walk down.
- Place 3 GEARS (Z); turn the handle (A).
- Turn left.
- Take MARIA'S BOX (B) and the MAGNET (orange).
- Inspect and move the book (C).
- Place the PORTRAIT PIECE on MARIA'S BOX; take BROOCH 1/2.
- Use the RATCHET three times (blue); take the SHIP DETAIL (D).
- Walk down.
- Place the SHIP DETAIL on the SHIP OUTLINE to receive the SHIP.
- Place the SHIP (E).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (1-H)-(1-I)-(2-L)-(2-N)-(2-H)-(2-G)-(2-F)-(3-L)-(3-H)-(3-K)-(3-G)-(3-J)-(1-K)-(1-M).
- Take the PIANO ROLL.
- Turn right.
- Place the PIANO ROLL (O); take the WIRE (P).
- Walk down, turn left.
- Place the WIRE (blue); take the INK BOTTLE and BROOCH 2/2 (Q).
- Place 2 BROOCHES (R).
- Collect pairs 1-5; take the HANGER HOOK (S).
- Walk down.
- Place the HANGER HOOK (T); pull the handle (U).
- Take the COAT (V).
- Remove an item from the COAT and its pocket; take the note.
- Open the COAT; take LION HEAD 1/2 and the THEATER LEAFLET.
- Place the THEATER LEAFLET on the MAP OF VIENNA.
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: 1-3.
- You acquire the THEATER ADDRESS.
- Walk down.
Chapter 2: The Theater Entrance
- Give the THEATER ADDRESS (W).
- Take the FLOWER POT SHARD (X); use the TWEEZERS (Y) to acquire the PORTRAIT PIECE.
- Place the PORTRAIT PIECE on MARIA'S BOX; take the METALLIC WHEEL.
- Use the MAGNET (Z); take LION HEAD 2/2 (A).
- Place 2 LION HEADS (B).
- Rotate the lion heads: C-Dx3-F-Ex2.
- Move forward.
- Take the UMBRELLA (G).
- Take the NUTCRACKER FIGURINE (H).
- Use the FLOWER POT SHARD (I); remove the cloth and take the SEAM RIPPER (J).
- Walk down.
- Use the UMBRELLA to collect the TORN BELT (K).
- Place the NUTCRACKER FIGURINE (L).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: Put tokens 1-12 into slot (M).
- Take the CRAYON.
- Go forward twice.
- Move 3 clothes (N).
- Use the SEAM RIPPER and take the note (O); use CRAYON and take the DOOR CODE (P).
- Open the box (Q).
- Take the WAX (R); move the ribbon (S).
- Move forward.
- Place the DOOR CODE (T); push buttons U-V-W-V.
- Play the HOP (X) to acquire the CLEF PART.
- Place the METALLIC WHEEL (Y) and TORN BELT (Z) to acquire the BELT.
- Place the BELT (A); take COLORED RIBBON 1/2 (B).
- Walk down.
- Use the CLEF PART and WAX (blue); take the CLEF (C).
- Walk down.
- Place the CLEF (D).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (E).
- Take COLORED RIBBON 2/2.
- Move forward.
- Place 2 COLORED RIBBONS (F).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (I-1-2-3)-(H-6)-(G-7)-(I-4-8)-(G-5).
- Take the VENETIAN MASK and CROSSED CANNONS.
- Move forward.
- Place the CROSSED CANNONS (J); move 2 rifles and take the STRETCHER and robe (K).
- Take the blueprint (L).
- Place the STRETCHER, activate it, and take DANCER FIGURE 1/3 (M).
- Move forward.
- Take the DRESS PIN (N).
- Walk down.
- Place the DRESS PIN (O).
- Move 4 clothes; take the HANDKERCHIEF (P).
- Use the HANDKERCHIEF to collect the LIGHT BULB (Q).
- Walk down.
- Place the LIGHT BULB (R).
- Play the HOP (S) to acquire DANCER FIGURE 2/3.
- Take the YARN BADGE (T).
- Move forward twice.
- Place the YARN BADGE (U); take the SEWING MACHINE OIL (V).
- Walk down.
- Apply the SEWING MACHINE OIL to the compartment, open it, and take DANCER FIGURE 3/3 (W).
- Walk down.
- Place 3 DANCER FIGURES (X); take the STAGE KEY (Y).
- Insert the STAGE KEY (Z).
Chapter 3: The Stage
- Talk to the man.
- Place 2 sacks on the cage (A).
- Take the SPIKE, move a bush, take the PEDAL, and move 2 bushes (B).
- Take the SWITCH (C).
- Take the GOLDEN MASK and CHAIN (D).
- Place the PEDAL (E); push it.
- Enter the Trap Room.
- Open the curtain (F).
- Remove the hood (G).
- Place the CHAIN (H), pull the slider (I), push the lever (J), and take the SMALL CYMBAL and BOMB EMBLEM (K).
- Take the SWORD HILT (L).
- Walk down.
- Place the BOMB EMBLEM (M); take the FIRECRACKERS (N).
- Use the SWORD HILT (O).
- Play the HOP (P).
- Solution: T-Q-S.
- You acquire the THEATER EMBLEM.
- Walk down.
- Place the THEATER EMBLEM and pull 2 levers (U).
- Turn left.
- Place the SWITCH (V); turn it.
- Remove the cover and take the ELECTRIC IGNITER (W).
- Go to the Trap Room.
- Use the FIRECRACKERS and ELECTRIC IGNITER (X); move the cables (Y).
- Take the EXTENSION CORD (Z).
- Go to the Balcony.
- Place the EXTENSION CORD (A); pull the lever (B).
- Take the DECORATIVE HAT (C).
- Place the GOLDEN MASK and DECORATIVE HAT on the VENETIAN MASK.
- Go to the Trap Room.
- Place the VENETIAN MASK (D); push 4 masks.
- Turn the wheel (E).
- Remove the cloth and use the INK BOTTLE (F).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (G).
- Remove leaves three times.
- Inspect the gloves (H).
- Take the FLASH PAN and photo (I).
- Inspect the sketch and use the SPIKE to collect the FORK (J).
- Turn left.
- Use the FORK (K) to play the HOP; you receive the FUSE.
- Place the SMALL CYMBAL and take the VIAL OF ACID (L).
- Take INITIAL 1/2 (M).
- Take the note and QUILL 1/2 (N).
- Take the TIN ICE CREAM and place the JUSTICE CARD (O).
- Walk down.
- Place the FUSE (P); push the button (Q).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (R).
- Enter the Ferris Wheel.
- Inspect the mannequin (S).
- Take the FORTITUDE CARD (T), CRANK HANDLE (U), and MALE HAND (V).
- Pull the lever (W); take the LENS FILTER and WHEEL TOKEN (X).
- Use the WHEEL TOKEN (Y).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: A-Z-F-C-Ex2-F-G-I-G-I-H-I-H-J-Ix3.
- Walk down.
- Place the TIN ICE CREAM and take the SKULL (blue).
- Use the VIAL OF ACID and open the camera (K); take the STAFF TOP (L).
- Turn left.
- Place the CRANK HANDLE (M).
- Move forward.
- Grab the chest (N); take the EMPTY SYRINGE and push the mannequin (O).
- Take the TOOTH PULLER (P).
Chapter 4: The Witch's Lair
- Place the MALE HAND (Q).
- Turn right.
- Take the COLORFUL STAFF POLE (R).
- Open the cauldron and use the EMPTY SYRINGE (S) to acquire the FILLED SYRINGE.
- Place the SKULL (T).
- Assemble COLORFUL STAFF POLE U-Vx2-Wx2; place the STAFF TOP (X) to acquire the HARLEQUIN STAFF.
- Walk down.
- Place the FILLED SYRINGE (Y); take INITIAL 2/2 (Z).
- Walk down twice.
- Use the HARLEQUIN STAFF (A); play the HOP (B) to acquire the FAN BLADE.
- Turn left.
- Place the FORTITUDE CARD (C).
- Go to the Witch's Lair.
- Place the FAN BLADE (D).
- Move the toy and take the WITCH GLOVES (E).
- Use the LENS FILTER and activate symbols 1-4.
- Use the TOOTH PULLER to collect the CLOWN TOOTH (F).
- Activate symbols 1-4 and pull the lever (G).
- Take the FEMALE HAND (H).
- Walk down.
- Use the WITCH GLOVES (I); take QUILL 2/2 (J) and the BULLET EMBLEM (K).
- Place the FEMALE HAND (L).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (M).
- Take the PROP LANTERN.
- Walk down.
- Place 2 QUILLS and move them (N); take the OFFICE KEY (O).
- Move forward.
- Insert the OFFICE KEY (P); open the door (Q).
- Move forward.
- Take the HANDCUFFS, 2 letters, and insert the BULLET EMBLEM (R); take the BB'S (S).
- Use the PROP LANTERN (T) to acquire the GLOWING LANTERN; place 2 INITIALS (U) and take the BLANK PAPER (V).
- Take the METAL STRIP (W); take the note and place the BLANK PAPER (X).
- Use the staff (Y) and cheese (Z).
- Take the WIRE SAW, place the GLOWING LANTERN, and take the WITCH SIGNET (A).
- Walk down, turn right.
- Place the WITCH SIGNET (B) and play the HOP (green) to acquire the PRINTING PLATE.
- Walk down three times.
- Use the WIRE SAW (C); take the CLOWN HAT (D).
- Use the BB'S (E); shoot 4 birds (purple) and take the CLOWN NOSE.
- Go to the Haunted House.
- Place the CLOWN TOOTH, CLOWN HAT, and CLOWN NOSE (F); take the note and CRAFTSMAN CARD (G).
- Move forward.
- Place the PRINTING PLATE (H); take the MUSE CARD (I).
- Walk down twice.
- Place the CRAFTSMAN CARD and MUSE CARD (J).
- Solution: (K).
- Take the PARK TICKET.
- Insert the PARK TICKET (L).
- Go to the Warehouse Entrance.
- Take the ELASTIC BAND (M).
- Use the METAL STRIP and take the PIRATE HOOK (N).
- Take the WIRE ROLL (O); open the window (P).
- Take the EMPTY POT (Q).
- Place the EMPTY POT (R) to acquire the POT WITH WATER.
- Use the POT WITH WATER and remove 2 spikes (S) to play the HOP (orange); you receive the PUNCHED CARD.
- Insert the PUNCHED CARD (T); pull the lever (U).
- Move forward.
- Take the IRON ROD (V).
- Place the PIRATE HOOK and ELASTIC BAND on the IRON ROD to acquire the ROD WITH HOOK.
- Use the ROD WITH HOOK (W) and FLASH PAN (X).
- Climb up the ladder.
- Move the cover (Y).
- Open the compartment, take GREEK DEITY 1/3, and use the WIRE ROLL (Z).
- Pull the levers (A).
- Walk down.
- Read the note and use the HANDCUFFS (B).
- Take TIN LANDMARK 1/2, the BRASS INGOT (C), and OXYGEN TANK (D).
- Move the photo and take the CRANE ACTIVATOR (E).
- Go upstairs.
- Place the CRANE ACTIVATOR (F).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: J-G-J-Hx4-J-H-I-G-I-Hx2-I-H-Jx5-H-J-G-I-G-Jx3-H-J-Gx5-J-G-I-G-I.
- Walk down, enter the Workshop.
Chapter 5: The Workshop
- Take the DIAL (K) and CLOCK FRONT (L).
- Turn left.
- Try to open the curtain (M).
- Take GREEK DEITY 2/3 (N).
- Take the REFLEX HAMMER (O), TOOTHBRUSH PIN (P), and SCOOP (Q).
- Walk down.
- Place the TOOTHBRUSH PIN and take the NAIL POLISH REMOVER (R).
- Use the SCOOP (S); take the CREST BASE and WHEEL (T).
- Turn left.
- Use the NAIL POLISH REMOVER and take the WIG (U).
- Place the WHEEL (V).
- Open the curtain (W).
- Play the HOP (X) to acquire the SPARE PARTS BOX.
- Rip the WIG three times and collect the NET from it.
- Walk down three times.
- Place the CLOCK FRONT and enter the time '7:15' (A).
- Take the HOSE and PUNCHING PIN (B).
- Use the NET and take MOLD PART 1/2 (C).
- Go forward.
- Place the HOSE (D).
- Place the PUNCHING PIN, SPARE PARTS BOX, and activate the sewing machine (E).
- Take the SMALL MECHANISM (F).
- Go to the Toy Store.
- Place the SMALL MECHANISM (G); take MOLD PART 2/2 (H).
- Walk down.
- Place 2 MOLD PARTS (I).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: U-T-P-O-S-W-X-T-S-O-K-J-N-R-S-O-N-R-V-W-S-O-N-R-V-W-S-R-N-O-S-W-V-R-S-T-U-Q-P-L.

- Place the BRASS LADYBUG (C); move its 4 wings.
- Move forward.
- Take UNICORN HORN, SIGNET RING, and use the REFLEX HAMMER (D).
- Walk down twice.
- Place the UNICORN HORN (E); take the FIRST AID INSIGNIA (F).
- Walk down.
- Place the FIRST AID INSIGNIA and take the OLD GAS MASK (G).
- Place the OXYGEN TANK on the OLD GAS MASK to acquire the OXYGEN MASK.
- Go to the Art Storage.
- Use the OXYGEN MASK (H).
- Take the SYMBOL CARD (I).
- Place the SYMBOL CARD (J).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (K).
- Enter codes 1-3; take the BARON'S ADDRESS (L) and CARABINER (M).
- Walk down twice.
- Place the CARABINER (N).
- Go forward.
- Play the HOP (O) to acquire GREEK DEITY 3/3.
- Take the CAT FIGURINE (P).
- Place the BARON'S ADDRESS (Q).
- Go to the Art Storage.
- Place 3 GREEK DEITIES and arrange them correctly (R); take the GOLDEN CROWN (S).
- Place the CAT FIGURINE (T).
- Walk down.
- Place the GOLDEN CROWN (U).
- Play the mini-game.

- Take the MOUSE FIGURINE.
- Go forward.
- Place the MOUSE FIGURINE and take the METAL CLAW (W).
- Go to the Transport Yard.
- Use the METAL CLAW and take the STAPLE REMOVER (X).
- Walk down twice.
- Use the STAPLE REMOVER (Y); collect items 1-7 to acquire the GAS CAN.
- Place the GAS CAN (Z) to acquire the GAS CAN.
- Go to the Transport Yard.
- Use the GAS CANISTER (A); start the car (B).
Chapter 6: The Villa Entrance
- Take the BROKEN ZEPPELIN (C) and FISHING ROD (D).
- Go forward.
- Use the FISHING ROD (E).
- Play the HOP (F) to acquire TIN LANDMARK 2/2.
- Take the GARDEN SHEARS (G).
- Turn left.
- Read the poem and place 2 TIN LANDMARKS (H).
- Activate landmarks 1-6; take the MAILBOX FLAG.
- Move the photo and push the pendulum three times (I); take the PENDULUM (J).
- Walk down twice.
- Place the MAILBOX FLAG and inspect the mailbox (K).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: L-M-P-M-Q-O-N-M-O-M-Q-P-N-O-Q-O-N-M-P-M-Q-O-N-P-Q.
- V-S-U-R-S-V-S-T-R-S-U-S-V-R-S-U-S-V-R-S-T-S-U-R-S-V.
- Take the PARCEL.
- Read the note from the PARCEL and use the SIGNET RING; open the PARCEL and take the METAL FLOWER.
- Use the GARDEN SHEARS twice and take the PUSH BUTTON (W).
- Use the PENDULUM and take PICTURE PIECE 1/3 (X).
- Go forward.
- Place the PUSH BUTTON (green); push buttons 1-5.
- Take the CREST SHIELD (Y).
- Place the CREST SHIELD on the CREST BASE.
- Place the METAL FLOWER and take the TRAY OF MEATBALLS (Z).
- Walk down.
- Use the TRAY OF MEATBALLS and close the cage (A).
- Turn left.
- Remove the cover and take the LETTER OPENER (B).
- Turn right.
- Open the curtain (blue) and camera (C).
- Take the SHOE BASE (D) and HANDLE (E).
- Go to the Garden Room.
- Place the HANDLE (F).
- Play the HOP (G) to acquire the SILVER LION.
- Use the LETTER OPENER and take the PROPELLER (H).
- Place the PROPELLER on the BROKEN ZEPPELIN.
- Walk down twice.
- Place the SILVER LION (I); take the STAR-SHAPED SPANNER (J).
- Turn left.
- Use the STAR-SHAPED SPANNER (K).
- Go upstairs.
- Place the DIAL (L); take the SHOE SOLE (M).
- Place the SHOE SOLE on the SHOE BASE.
- Take the note, SLIDE 1/3, and PICTURE PIECE 2/3 (N).
- Take the note (O) and TINY SWORD (P).
- Place the TINY SWORD on the CREST BASE; adjust the swords correctly (Q) to acquire the FAMILY CREST.
- Walk down.
- Place the FAMILY CREST (R).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (S).
- Take the note and TINY CHIMNEY.
- Go upstairs.
- Place the TINY CHIMNEY (T); take the STOP BUTTON and GOLD MEDAL (U).
- Walk down, turn right.
- Place the STOP BUTTON (purple) and push buttons 1-2-1-3-4-2-1; take SLIDE 2/3 (V).
- Close the curtain (W).
- Place the GOLD MEDAL (X).
- Play the HOP (Y) to acquire the MARBLE HORN.
- Walk down.
- Place the MARBLE HORN (Z); take the RIBBON (A).
- Place the RIBBON on the SHOE BASE and take the POINTE SHOE.
- Go upstairs.
- Place the POINTE SHOE (B).
- Play the mini-game.
- Solution: (C).
- Take the MARBLE EYE.
- Walk down.
- Place the MARBLE EYE (D); take SLIDE 3/3 (E).
- Turn right.
- Use 3 SLIDES and take the PIANO ORNAMENT (F).
- Walk down.
- Place the PIANO ORNAMENT (G).
- Play the HOP (H) to acquire the CABIN.
- Place the CABIN on the BROKEN ZEPPELIN to acquire the AIRSHIP.
- Go upstairs.
- Place the AIRSHIP and take PICTURE PIECE 3/3 (I).
- Walk down, turn right.
- Place 3 PICTURE PIECES (J).
- Play the mini-game.
