General Tips
- This is the official guide for Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's Speaking with the Dead.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show HOP solutions. It will identify the location of the HOP and the inventory item acquired.
- This guide will show solutions for non-random puzzles. Please read the in-game instructions for each puzzle.
- In this game, you will sometimes have to select the new scene to trigger dialog, cut-scenes, or tasks prior to interacting with the scene.
Chapter 1: Near the Loyalles' House
- Take 1st PHOTO PART (A).
- Talk (B).
- Take KEYS (C).
- Take SATCHEL and STAR EMBLEM; play HOP; take 1/3 METAL PLATES (D).
- Select SATCHEL; select (F-I)-(J-E)-(H-F)-(G-J); take MEDICINE EMBLEM and solution.
- Take ROUND EMBLEM (K); use KEYS (L).
- Select (M). Turn key; read paper; take 2/3 METAL PLATES; read letter (N).
- Take 1/2 DEER DECORATIONS; place ROUND EMBLEM and STAR EMBLEM (O).

- Take ELECTRICAL TAPE; use UTILITY KEY. Play HOP; earn 1/2 RAVEN EMBLEMS (K).
- Use ELECTRICAL TAPE 4x; select wires 2x; take 2/2 RAVEN EMBLEMS (L).
- Place RAVEN EMBLEMS (M).
- This minigame is randomly generated; your solution may vary (N).
- Talk; take HAMMER (A).
- Use HAMMER; play HOP; earn NAILS (B).
- NAILS on BROKEN LADDER; use HAMMER 6x; take LADDER.

- Walk down.
- Place GEAR LOCK SOLUTION; select H-G-H-Gx2.
- Take 2/2 METAL CROSSES (I).
- Walk down.
- Play HOP; earn KNIFE (J).
- Return to Laboratory.
- Place METAL CROSSES; select 1-8; use AMMONIA (K).
- Take DISASSEMBLED KEY (L).

Chapter 3: Workshop
