General Tips
- This is the official guide for Halloween Stories: Horror Movie.
- This guide won't tell you when to zoom into a location; the screenshots show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. Only the locations of the HOPs will be shown.
- Use the Map to fast travel to a location.
Chapter 1: Terror at Ravenstorm High
- Play HOP.
- Select scene.
- Take BOOMBOX, WITCH'S HAND, PATTERN PIECE 1/3, CLAPPERBOARD, and CASSETTE (A).
- Open cassette slot on BOOMBOX and insert CASSETTE; take BATTERY.
- Place WITCH'S HAND and BATTERY (B); take PATTERN PIECE 2/3 and HAIRPIN (C).
- Use HAIRPIN (D); receive PATTERN PIECE 3/3.
- Place PATTERN PIECE 3/3 (E).
- Solution (@1): (I-G)-(H-F)-(O-E)-(P-H)-(K-P)-(J-I)-(P-A).
- (E-B)-(Q-P)-(F-O)-(R-C)-(N-R)-(G-J)-(M-K)-(L-Q).

- Select scene.
- Take JACK, UMBRELLA, BLACK RAVEN FIGURE, and MATH PATCH (S).
- Walk down.
- Use UMBRELLA (T); receive MUSIC PATCH and STOREROOM KEY.
- Go (U).
- Use STOREROOM KEY; take OIL and WHITE RAVEN FIGURE (V).
- Place BLACK RAVEN FIGURE and WHITE RAVEN FIGURE (W). Play HOP; receive PHYSICAL EDUCATION PATCH.
- Walk down.
- Place MATH PATCH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION PATCH, and MUSIC PATCH; take GOLD TROPHY and JACK HANDLE (X).
- JACK HANDLE and OIL on JACK.
- Use JACK (Y). Play HOP; receive CAFETERIA EMBLEM.
- Go (Y1).
- Use CAFETERIA EMBLEM (Z).
- Enter (Z1).
- Receive COIN 1/4 and CHUCKY STAMP.
- Take WALLET, SAFE DIAL, and FILE (A).
- Walk down twice.
- Use FILE; take PUMPKIN and NOTE WITH CODE (B).
- Go (C).
- Place SAFE DIAL and NOTE WITH CODE; take BLACK CAT and COIN 2/4 (D).
- Go (E).
- BLACK CAT and PUMPKIN on WALLET; take COIN 3/4 and RAVEN'S HEAD.
- Place RAVEN'S HEAD (F); take TOOLS EMBLEM (G).
- Walk down.
- Place TOOLS EMBLEM; take SCREW GUN and MARKER (H).
- Use SCREW GUN (I). Play HOP.
- HOP Solution (1-9).
- Go (J).
- Select door (K); take WIND CHIME (K1).
- Take BLACK MOON PENDANT and MAGNET (L).
- Look at license and drawing (M).
- Go to Cafeteria.
- Use MAGNET (N); receive BATS.
- BATS and BLACK MOON PENDANT on WIND CHIME. Solution: move bats to red line. (S down)-(P up)-(R up)-(O down).
- Take COIN 4/4 and HALLOWEEN WIND MUSIC (T).
- Insert COIN 4/4 (U); take BUBBLE GUM (V).
- Go to Second Floor.
- Place HALLOWEEN WIND MUSIC (W); take LOCKER HANDLE (X).
- Walk down.
- Place LOCKER HANDLE; take VAMPIRE STATUE PIECE and NAIL PULLER (Y).
- Go (Z).
- Use NAIL PULLER; take SILVER TROPHY (A). Use CHUCKY STAMP; take EVIDENCE FOLDER (B).
- Use BUBBLE GUM and place VAMPIRE STATUE PIECE (C); take BRONZE TROPHY (D).
- Go to Cafeteria.
- Place EVIDENCE FOLDER and select (E). Play HOP; receive PUNCH CARD.
- Walk down.
- Place GOLD TROPHY, SILVER TROPHY, and BRONZE TROPHY (F); take SIGNET WITH CREST and SNAKE BROOCH (G).
- Go to Second Floor.
- Use SIGNET WITH CREST and PUNCH CARD (H).
- Enter (I).
- Take RUGGED TAPESTRY, WIRE CUTTERS, RUST REMOVER, and WITCH'S HEAD (J).
- Look at note (K).
- Walk down.
- Use WIRE CUTTERS; take LOCK REEL 1/3, SPIDER BUTTON, and GREEN EYE (L).
- Go (M).
- Use RUST REMOVER (N); place SPIDER BUTTON and select (O). Take WITCH'S BODY and NEEDLE AND THREAD (P).
- Place RUGGED TAPESTRY and use NEEDLE AND THREAD (Q).
- Solution (R-S-T).
- Take WEREWOLF FIGURE and LOCK REEL 2/3 (U). Look at note (blue).
- Walk down.
- Place WITCH'S BODY and WITCH'S HEAD (V). Place WEREWOLF FIGURE (W). Take RUBY and LOCK REEL 3/3 (X).
- Go to Headmaster's Office.
- Place LOCK REEL 3/3; enter 2-4-3-2 (orange); take LOADED GUN and FLUORESCENT BULB (Y).
- Walk down.
- Place FLUORESCENT BULB (Z). Play HOP. Take SILVER PIN (Z1).
- Enter (Z2).
- Take BUTTERFLY WITH SKULLS, AQUARIUM WITH WATER, LABEL 1/3, and FILE CABINET CARD (A).
- Use SILVER PIN (B); take NET (B1).
- Go to Headmaster's Office.
- Use FILE CABINET CARD and open folder (C); take BUTTERFLY WITH HEARTS and LABEL 2/3 (C1).
- Place AQUARIUM WITH WATER (D); use NET and take BLUE EYE (E).
- Go to Biology Room.
- Place GREEN EYE and BLUE EYE (F). Play HOP; receive ANTISEPTIC.
- Place BUTTERFLY WITH SKULLS and BUTTERFLY WITH HEARTS (G); take LABEL 3/3 (H).
- Place LABEL 3/3; take AMMONIA and BANDAGE (I).
- Use ANTISEPTIC and BANDAGE (J). Use AMMONIA (K).
- Select Alfie (L). Take STRANGE NOTEBOOK (M).
- Open STRANGE NOTEBOOK; take SEED PACKET and ALFIE'S BOOK (N).
- Give ALFIE'S BOOK (L).
- Hard and Casual Solution one (O): (1-5).
- Hard and Casual Solution two (P): (1-5).
Chapter 2: House of Nightmares
- Take PINCERS, NEWSPAPER, DO NOT DISTURB HANGER, and EMERALD (A).
- Place RUBY and EMERALD (B); take BLACK ROSE (C).
- PINCERS on BLACK ROSE; take ROSE FLOWER and STEEL STEM.
- Place NEWSPAPER (D). Use STEEL STEM (F); select newspaper and take HOUSE KEY (D). Use HOUSE KEY (E).
- Go (G).
- Take AXE, ZOE'S COSMETICS BAG, and GOLDEN CLAW (H).
- Look at note (I).
- Walk down.
- Place GOLDEN CLAW (J). Play HOP; receive HAMMER.
- Use AXE (K); receive PEG and ZOMBIE TOY.
- Go (L).
- Use PEG and HAMMER (M).
- Go (N).
- Take FRAME PATTERNS 1/4 and CLAPPERBOARD (O).
- Walk down.
- Place 2 CLAPPERBOARDS (P); take CHAMOMILE FLOWER, LIGHTNING EMBLEM, and PAPERCLIP (Q).
- Walk down.
- PAPERCLIP on ZOE'S COSMETICS BAG and look at photo; take LILY FLOWER and FLASHLIGHT.
- Place LILY FLOWER, ROSE FLOWER, and CHAMOMILE FLOWER; take RAKE, RUBBER GLOVES, and FRAME PATTERNS 2/4 (R).
- Go to The Corridor of Many Doors.
- Use RUBBER GLOVES and place LIGHTNING EMBLEM (S). Use FLASHLIGHT (T).
- Solution (U). Select lever (V).
- Take ZOE'S PORTRAIT, MYSTERIOUS PAPER, FLY BOX, and ENDLESS KNOT (W).
- Walk down.
- Place ENDLESS KNOT; take DEVELOPER and BUNCH OF KEYS (X).
- DEVELOPER and MARKER on MYSTERIOUS PAPER; take PASSWORD.
- Place PASSWORD (Y).
- Solution (1-4).
- Take WINDOW HANDLE and BLOODY KEY.
- Go to The Corridor of Many Doors.
- Use WINDOW HANDLE and select; take BIRD SKELETON and BONE KEY (Z1).
- Walk down twice.
- Hang BIRD SKELETON (Z2); take DANCING SKELETON and FRAME PATTERNS 3/4 (Z3).
- Go to The Corridor of Many Doors.
- Place DANCING SKELETON (A). Play HOP; receive SKELETON ARM.
- Walk down twice.
- Place SKELETON ARM (B); take KEY WITH EYES (C).
- Go to The Corridor of Many Doors.
- KEY WITH EYES, BONE KEY, and BLOODY KEY on BUNCH OF KEYS.
- Use BUNCH OF KEYS (D).
- Enter (E).
- Take FRAME PATTERNS 4/4, BUTTONS 1/3, LEMON HALF, and SCREWDRIVER (F).
- Walk down twice.
- Place FRAME PATTERNS 4/4 (G).
- Solution (@3): (G-H-I-J-A-B-K-G-H-I-J-A-B-C-K-E-D-K-F-G-H-I-K-H-G-K).
- Take BIRD PICTURE.
- Go to Torture Room.
- Place ZOE'S PORTRAIT and BIRD PICTURE; take SCALPEL (L) and look at note (M).
- Walk down.
- Use SCALPEL; take BUTTONS 2/3 and EAGLE BROOCH (N).
- Walk down.
- Place EAGLE BROOCH and SNAKE BROOCH; take SAUSAGE and WATER BOTTLE (O).
- Go to Torture Room.
- Use RAKE, SEED PACKET, and WATER BOTTLE (P). Place FLY BOX (Q). Play HOP; receive FIREFLIES.
- Walk down.
- Place FIREFLIES; take LID HANDLE (D).
- Go to Torture Room.
- Use LID HANDLE; take HOT WATER (E).
- Use HOT WATER and SCREWDRIVER; take VAN KEY (F).
- Walk down 3x.
- Use LEMON HALF and VAN KEY (G). Play HOP; receive SLEDGEHAMMER.
- Go to The Corridor of Many Doors.
- Use SLEDGEHAMMER (H).
- Go (I).
- Take TRIANGULAR TILES 1/2, DIRTY DIARY, and FEATHER PEN (J).
- Use FEATHER PEN and select paper; take ZOE'S PICTURE and TRIANGULAR TILES 2/2 (K).
- TRIANGULAR TILES 2/2 on DIRTY DIARY and select twice; take ZOE'S PICTURE.
- Place 2 ZOE'S PICTURES and zoom in (L).
- Solution one (M).
- Solution two (Nx10-Ox7-Px2-Qx4).
- Take BUTTONS 3/3, SPOON AND FORK EMBLEM, and HACKSAW.
- Try to walk down (R). Use HACKSAW (S).
- Walk down and go to Torture Room.
- Place SPOON AND FORK EMBLEM; take ICE TONGS and TWO-PRONGED FORK (T).
- Go to Hidden Room.
- Use TWO-PRONGED FORK; look at note and receive SLEEPING PILLS (U).
- Go to Torture Room.
- Use SLEEPING PILLS (V).
- Place BUTTONS 3/3 and press 368 (W).
- Enter (X).
- Use HACKSAW (Y).
- Play automatic HOP (Z); receive MANIAC'S LOCKET.
Chapter 3: The Summer Camp Stalker
- Receive RYAN'S BADGE.
- Take COAL, WAIST BAG, and PIPE 1/4 (A).
- RYAN'S BADGE on WAIST BAG; take SHAPED PICKLOCKS and WALKIE-TALKIE WITHOUT ANTENNA.
- Place SHAPED PICKLOCKS (B).
- Solution (C).
- Go (D).
- Take PIPE 2/4, PRUNERS, and WIRE (E).
- Use DO NOT DISTURB HANGER (F); receive PIPE 3/4.
- Walk down.
- Use PRUNERS; take ROPES FOR LADDER and FIRECRACKER (G).
- Go to Central Square.
- Use FIRECRACKER (H); receive FIRE KEY.
- Use FIRE KEY; take PIPE 4/4 and FIRE BUCKET (I).
- Walk down.
- Use FIRE BUCKET (J); receive WATER BUCKET.
- Go (K).
- Use WATER BUCKET (L). Select box (M).
- Place MANIAC'S LOCKET; take TASK CARD 1/3 and IRON KNOB (N).
- Place IRON KNOB (O). Place WALKIE-TALKIE WITHOUT ANTENNA and WIRE (P). Take GUARD'S LOCKET (Q).
- Walk down.
- Place GUARD'S LOCKET (R).
- Solution (S).
- Take ROPE LADDER HOOK.
- Go to Central Square.
- PIPE 4/4 and ROPE LADDER HOOK on ROPES FOR LADDER; take ROPE LADDER.
- Place ROPE LADDER (T).
- Enter (U).
- Take FIRE EMBLEM, COIN SCREWDRIVER, BROKEN FIGURINE, and HAPPY COUNSELOR (V).
- Walk down.
- Place FIRE EMBLEM; take SMALL SCREWS, SURVIVOR TOY, and GAS (W).
- Go (X).
- Place ZOMBIE TOY and SURVIVOR TOY; take TENT EMBLEM and HINGED HANDS (Y).
- Walk down twice.
- HINGED HANDS, SMALL SCREWS, and COIN SCREWDRIVER on BROKEN FIGURINE; take HAPPY KID.
- Use COAL (A).
- Place HAPPY KID and HAPPY COUNSELOR. Solution (B).
- Look at note; take GUITAR EMBLEM and HORSE 1/4 (C).
- Go to Administration Building.
- Place TENT EMBLEM and GUITAR EMBLEM; take TRACING PAPER AND NOTES and COMPASS (D).
- Place TRACING PAPER AND NOTES (E). Play HOP; receive JACK-IN-THE-BOX.
- Walk down.
- COMPASS on JACK-IN-THE-BOX and select; take TASK CARD 2/3 and CHAINSAW LEVER.
- Use GAS and CHAINSAW LEVER (F).
- Go (G).
- Receive HOUSE MAP.
- Take HORSE 2/4 and LATCH SLIDE (H).
- Use ICE TONGS (I); receive BEAR RING.
- Go to Administration Building.
- Use LATCH SLIDE (J). Play HOP; receive SCARECROW'S HEART.
- Walk down.
- Place SCARECROW'S HEART (K); take SNAKE RING and NAIL PULLER (L).
- Walk down.
- Use NAIL PULLER (M); receive WOLF RING and OLD WHEEL.
- Go to Administration Building.
- Place BEAR RING, SNAKE RING, and WOLF RING; take BICYCLE LOCKET and TIRE (N).
- Go to Residential Cabins.
- Place BICYCLE LOCKET; take HORSE 3/4 and PUMP (O).
- Select OLD WHEEL, place TIRE, and use PUMP; take WHEELBARROW WHEEL.
- Place WHEELBARROW WHEEL (P). Use HOUSE MAP (Q) and zoom back in.
- Take bucket (1). Go to water source to fill bucket (2). Put fire out (3). Go to stairs (4).
- Grab key (5). Go back to stairs (6).
- Use key (7). Go to ladder (8).
- Take wood piece (9). Go to ladder (10).
- Go to stairs (4). Place wood piece (11). Go to Counselors' Room (12).
- Take OLD LAMP and COPPER WING (R).
- Look at photo (S).
- Walk down.
- Place COPPER WING (T); receive WINDUP KEY and DISK WEDGE 1/3.
- Go to Administration Building.
- Use WINDUP KEY (U); take BOLT CUTTER and DISK WEDGE 2/3 (V).
- Go to Counselors' Room.
- Use BOLT CUTTER; take DISK WEDGE 3/3 and PLIERS (W).
- Walk down.
- Place DISK WEDGE 3/3; take ADHESIVE TAPE and HORSE 4/4 (X).
- Go to Administration Building.
- Place HORSE 4/4; take BULB (Y).
- Go to Counselors' Room.
- ADHESIVE TAPE on OLD LAMP. Use PLIERS to remove broken bulb and then place BULB; take LAMP.
- Place LAMP (A). Play HOP; receive TASK CARD 3/3.
- Walk down.
- Place TASK CARD 3/3 (B).
- Go (C).
- Give SAUSAGE (D). Select scene.
- Take FILM REEL and PROJECTOR LENS (E).
- Go to Counselors' Room.
- Place FILM REEL and PROJECTOR LENS (F).
- Play HOP (G); receive COUNSELOR'S MEDALLION.
- Place COUNSELOR'S MEDALLION; take DISH, LIGHTER, and BAG KEY (H).
- Go to Sports Ground.
- Use BAG KEY; take WRENCH (I).
- Use WRENCH; take SEAT PART (J).
- Walk down.
- Use WRENCH (K); take SWING SEAT.
- Walk down.
- Use WRENCH (L); receive NAMEPLATE.
- Go to Sports Ground.
- Place SEAT PART, SWING SEAT, and NAMEPLATE (M).
- Select scene. Take CURSED TAPE (N).
- Select marked veins (O).
- Flower solution (P).
- Press on Ryan's arm (Q) until meter is full (R).
- Select Liam's hand (S) when latch (T) is in middle. Repeat two more times.
- Open CURSED TAPE and place DISH; select 3x. Use LIGHTER (U).
