General Tips
- This is the official guide for Paranormal Pursuit The Gifted One.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will identify each location.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide mentions when a HOP is available and the inventory item you'll collect from it.
- This guide provides a step-by-step solution for each puzzle that doesn't have a random solution. Please read the instructions for each puzzle in the game.
- Use the map to fast travel to a location.
Chapter 1: House
- Take the wire (A) located on the gate. Make a hook (B) out of it.
- Use the hook (B) to retrieve the gate key (C) through the window.
- Use the gate key (C) to open the gate.
- Go to the side of the house.
- Find the boy in the cellar.
- Take the plank (D).
- Take the plaster (E).
- Go to the street beside the house.
- Go to the phone booth. Call the police.
- Go to the front yard.
- Use the plank (D) to block the garage door.
- Enter the garage.
- Make steps out of the crates. Take the valve handle located on the shelf (F).
- Take the empty bowl (G) located on the work bench.
- Go to the street beside the house.
- Place the valve handle (F) on the pipe. Turn it.
- Take the shovel (H) located on the ground.
- Fill the empty bowl (G) with water. Take the bowl of water (I).
- Go to the garage.
- Use the shovel (H) to scoop up some plaster (E).
- Place the bowl of water (I) on the work bench.
- Add plaster to the bowl of water.
- Use the shovel (H) to put the plaster in the mold.
- Take the plaster key (K).
- Use the plaster key (K) to open the safe.
- Take the knife (L).
- Go to the side of the house.
- Open the knife (L) to get the wire cutters. Use the wire cutters to cut the wire.
- Enter the cellar.

- Use the knife (L) to open the boxes. Take the lantern (M), the light bulbs (N), and the insulating tape (O).

- Take the cross-shaped key from the clock face.
- Use the cross-shaped key to open the case located on the dryer.
- Take the lock pick tools.
- Go to the stairs.
- Use the lock pick tools (S) to load the mini-game.
- Use the cursor to rotate the rings and open the lock on the door.
- Go upstairs.
- Open the knife (L), Use the wire cutters to cut the makeshift axle (U) off of the music box.
- Take the walnut (T).
- Go to the living room.
- Place the makeshift axle (U) on the wheel of the cart. Move the cart.
- Go farther into the living room.
- Take the folded umbrella (V).
- Go back one step.
- Open the umbrella (V).
- Use the extended umbrella (V) to retrieve the ball of yarn (W) from under the sofa.
- Go farther into the living room.
- Toss the ball of yarn (W) to the cat.
- Go farther into the living room.
- Place the nut (T) in the slingshot (P).
- Use the slingshot to shoot the vase (X).
- Go outside.
Chapter 2: Motel
- Open the car.
- Open the glove compartment. Take the first aid kit (Z) and the coins (Y).
- Close the knife (L).
- Use the knife (L) to pry open the first aid kit (Z). Take the Bandage (A1).
- Insert the coins (Y) into the vending machine. Take the bottle of water (B1).
- Use the room key (C1) to open the motel room.
- Enter the motel room.
- Give the boy the bottle of water (B1).
- Go to the kitchen.
- Open the container of sugar. Take the puzzle part (D1) and the pot holder (E1).
- Open the cabinet. Take the keys (F1). Use the keys (F1) to open the door to the backyard.
- Open the refrigerator. Take the cold pizza (G1).
- Open the microwave. Heat the cold pizza (G1) in the microwave.
- Go to the main room.
- Use the pot holder (E1) to remove the light bulb (H1) from the lamp.
- Use the key (F1) to open the drawer. Take the toy case (I1).
- Give the hot pizza (G1) to the boy.
- Go to the bathroom.
- Move the chair. Install the light bulb (H1) in the ceiling light.
- Take the dry wash rag (J1). Turn on the faucet. Place the dry wash rag (J1) in the sink. Take the wet wash rag (J1).
- Take the sterilizer (K1) located in the cabinet.
- Take the chain (L1) located in the bathtub.
- Go to the main room.
- Use the sterilizer (K1) to treat the boy's wound. Place the Bandage (A1) on the boy's arm.
- Go to the backyard.
- Open the tackle box. Take the antenna (M1). Use the wet wash rag (J1) to clean the dirty lock. Open the storage compartment. Take the puzzle part (N1).
- Stand the chair upright.
- Take the puzzle part (O1) located in the bird feeder.
- Place the chain (L1) on the pool mechanism.
- Find the puzzle part (P1) in the pool.
- Place the puzzle parts (D1, N1, O1, and P1) on the toy case (I1).
- Match pairs of similar images on the toy case.
- Take the magnifying glass (Q1).
- Go to the main room.
- Place the antenna (M1) on the TV. Tune the antenna.
- Play the HOP to receive the map (R1).
- Take the toy bat. Use the bat to break the piñata. Take the bull horn. Place the horn on the bull figurine.
- Take the door knob. Place it on the door of the bedside cabinet. Open the bedside cabinet. Take the record.
- Open the gramophone lid. Place the record on the gramophone.
- Take the gramophone needle located under the rug, Place it on the gramophone.
- Take the book key. Use the key to open the book. Take the scalpel.
- Use the scalpel to remove the patch from the pillow.
- Take the briefcase key.
- Place the key on the lock on the briefcase. Open the briefcase. Take the tweezers.
- Turn on the gramophone.
- Take the water pistol ammo.
- Load the water pistol.
- Use the water pistol to wash away the paint on the bed.
- Click on the case in the bedside cabinet. Enter the code.
- Take the corkscrew.
- Use the corkscrew to open the glass bottle.
- Use the tweezers to pull the map of the city out of the bottle.
- Use the magnifying glass (Q1) to look at the map of the city (R1).
- Close the map.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the front door to block the entrance to the motel room.
- Go to the kitchen.

- Block the door with the broom.

- Go father along the gas station.
- Move the trash can.
- Place the pallets in the puddle of oil.

Chapter 3: Archive
- Take the attic key (S1) that's hanging on the bulletin board.
- Go to the door to the courtyard.
- Solve the mini-game to unlock the door.
- Enter the courtyard.
- Open the storeroom. Take the screwdriver (T1), and the 6 (U1).
- Go to the garden gate.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then the branch blocking the garden gate to remove the branch.
- Enter the garden.
- Find the stepladder (V1) in the bushes.
- Use the screwdriver (T1) to tighten the screw on the stepladder (V1).
- Take the miniature steps (W1) located on the bench.
- Take the 9 (X1) located near the owl.
- Go to the main hall.
- Place the stepladder (V1) at the foot of the broken stairs.
- Place the miniature steps (W1) on the attic key (S1).
- Assemble the attic key (Y1).
- Use the attic key (Y1) to open the attic.
- Enter the attic.
- Take the fire extinguisher (Z1).
- Take the book (A2) and the code (B2) located on the window sill.
- Take the watchmaker's case (C2) located on the table and remove the green placemat.
- Take the 12 (D2) located on the shelf.
- Go to the garden.
- Use the fire extinguisher (Z1) on the bee hive.
- Take the shovel (E2) located on the bench.
- Use the shovel (E2) to dig the metal rod (F2) out of the flower bed.
- Go to the courtyard.
- Use the metal rod (F2) to move the hatch. Take the water drop key (G2).
- Insert the key (G2) in the lock on the book (A2).
- Take the Trident key (H2) located in the book.
- Use the Trident key to turn off the water pump (H2).
- Take the stamp key (I2) located in the fountain.
- Use the stamp key (I2) to open the door to the city archives.
- Enter the city archives.
- Take the turtle case (J2) located on the table.
- Take the wind-up key (K2) located on the table on the second floor.
- Open the HOP scene. Find and use every object to get the golden turtle (L2).
- Take the key in the lamp. Insert the key into the robot.
- Place the book parts in the binding machine.
- Take the tweezers located on the shelf. Use the tweezers to remove the glass cutter from the chair.
- Use the glass cutter to cut the glass on the cabinet. Take the oiler from behind the glass.
- Use the oiler on the robot's arm.
- Move the robot's arm. Take the book and the leaf-shaped locket.
- Insert the leaf-shaped locket into the cache door.
- Take the robot's arm and the binding machine handle.
- Place the binding machine handle where it belongs. Click on the handle. Take the bound book.
- Place the robot's arm on the robot. Turn the key to start the robot.
- Take the note containing the code for the books.
- Place the books on the shelf.
- Click on the books in the correct order.
- Take the golden turtle.
- Go to the garden.
- Use the wind-up key (K2) on the robot on the bench.
- Use the screwdriver (T1) to remove the screws on the robot's bag. Take the weight (M2).
- Go to the attic.
- Use the weight (M2) to open the cache. Take the 3 (N2).
- Place the 3 (N2), 6 (U1), 9 (X1), and 12 (D2) on the Watchmaker's case (C2).
- Take the lens (O2).
- Go to the city archives.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the archives to find the slides (P2).
- Place the lens (O2) and the slides (P2) on the projector.
- Watch the slides.
- Take the golden turtle (Q2).
- Place the golden turtles (L2 and Q2) on the turtle case (J2).
- Take the diamond-shaped plate (R2).
- Place the diamond-shaped plate (R2) and the layout (B2) on the safe.
- Use the combination to open the safe.
- Take the ruby (S2).
- Go to the main hall.
- Place the ruby (S2) on the statue.
- Take the book (T2).
- Go to the garden.
- Place the book (T2) on the pedestal with the owl.
- Enter the elevator.
- Take the rope with the carabiner (U2) located on the barrel.
- Click on the smaller of the two dinosaur skeletons. Take the dinosaur bone (V2) located near the skeleton.
- Go to Doll City.
- Remove the cloth from the control panel. Push the lever.
- Take the key (W2) and the puzzle part (X2) in the suitcase.
- Select the sign post under the speakers.
- Assemble the image on the key holder.
- Go to the dinosaur exhibit.
- Place the puzzle part (X2) on the chest. Assemble the image to open the chest. Take the stone hammer (Y2).
- Use the key (W2) to open the door to the equipment room.
- Enter the equipment room.
- Turn over the tin can on the table. Take the razor (A3) and the lighter parts (Z2). Assemble the lighter (Z2). Light it.
- Take the grappling hook (B3) located on the bike. Place the hook (B3) on the rope with the carabiner (U2). Take the grappling hook (C3). Throw it (C3) on the ship.
- Use the stone hammer (Y2) to break the glass on the diving helmet. Take the tunnel key part (D3).
- Open the suitcase behind the Indians. Take the doll clothes (E3).
- Take the air pump (F3) located in the inflatable boat.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the shelves to move the shelves.
- Open the HOP scene. Find and use every item to get the crossbow (G3).
- Take the pruning shears.
- Use the pruning shears to cut the rope.
- Take the axe blade located on the table. Place it on the axe handle. The axe will fall down and break the piece of amber containing the coat of arms.
- Insert the coat of arms into the knight's armor. Take the handle.
- Place the handle on the container hanging from the ceiling. Take the access card.
- Take the screwdriver located in the toolbox. Remove the screws on the machine gun.
- Take the Letter X. Place the Letter X on the case. Take the 7 key. Place the 7 key on the keypad.
- Take the cross-shaped key located in the toolbox. Use the cross-shaped key to open the cache. Take the fragment of paper.
- Place the fragment of paper on the glass.
- Enter the code on the keypad. Take the arrow.
- Use the access card to open the safe.
- Take the golden apple.
- Place the golden apple and the arrow on the stand. Take the crossbow (G3).
- Go to the dinosaur exhibit.
- Shoot the cage with the crossbow (G3).
- Give the crossbow (G3) to the boy.
- Take the tunnel key part (D3).
- Go to Doll City.
- Use the razor (A3) to cut the rope. Take the closed gas can (H3). Use the dinosaur bone (V2) to open the gas can (H3).
- Use the lighter (Z2) to fire up the hot-air balloon. Take the bike ignition keys (I3).
- Use the air pump (F3) on the bugle. Take the pyramid top (J3).
- Click on the doll house. Dress the dolls (E3).
- Put the objects in the doll house where they belong.
- Place each coin where it belongs to open the cache.
- Take the tunnel key part (D3).
- Go to the dinosaur exhibit.
- Place the pyramid top (J3) on the pyramid. Take the tunnel key part (D3).
- Take the tunnel key (K3).
- Go to the equipment room.
- Use the tunnel key (K3) to open the tunnel door.
- Use the full gas can (H3) to fill the bike's gas tank.
- Use the ignition keys (I3) to start the bike.
Chapter 4: Orphanage
- Go to the playground.
- Open the truck door. Take the jump rope (L3). Lift the seat. Take the hobby horse (M3).
- Go to the orphanage entrance.
- Use the hobby horse (M3) to break the glass on the door. Open the door.
- Go to the locker room.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the live wire.
- Use the jump rope (L3) to tie the live wire to the pipe.
- Take the toolbox (N3).
- Take the director's office key (O3).
- Take the raincoats (P3) located in the locker.
- Go to the foyer.
- Click on the door at the top of the stairs.
- Use the director's office key (O3) to open the door.
- Enter the director's office.
- Take the clamp (Q3) that's holding up the photo.
- Take the snuff box (R3) located on the window sill.
- Take the ruler (S3) located on the desk.
- Go to the foyer.
- Use the ruler (S3) to move the chair.
- Enter the creativity room.
- Take the lighter fluid (T3) located on the piano.
- Take the glue (U3) and the broken mirror (V3) located in the easel drawer.
- Take the door handle (W3) located in the jack-in-the-box.
- Go to the foyer.
- Place the door handle (W3) on the door on the left. Open the door.
- Take the flashlight (X3) and the photo mount handle (Y3) located in the top drawer of the cabinet.
- Go to the director's office.
- Pour the lighter fluid (T3) on the wood in the fireplace. Use the lighter (Z2) to start a fire.
- Place the photo mount handle (Y3) on the photo mount.
- Go to the orphanage entrance.
- Use the clamp (Q3) to retrieve the piano case handle from the hole in the tree stump.
- Use the flashlight (X3) to illuminate the hole in the wall.
- Take the locket (A4).
- Go to the creativity room.
- Place the piano case handle (Z3) where it belongs. Take the paperclip (B4) and the mirror shards (C4).
- Use the paperclip (B4) to open the toolbox (N3).
- Take the brush (D4) and the hacksaw (E4).
- Use the glue (U3) on the broken mirror (V3). Place the mirror shards (C4) where they belong. Assemble the mirror (F4).
- Go to the orphanage entrance.
- Use the mirror (F4) on the statue. Note the safe code.
- Go to the foyer.
- Use the brush (D4) to remove the cobwebs located on top of the cabinet. Take the wrench (G4).
- Go to the director's office.
- Move the painting located behind the desk.
- Enter the safe code. Take the camera (H4). Take the key (I4).
- Use the lock pick (B4) to open the roll top desk. Read the director's journal. Take the locket gem (J4).
- Go to the orphanage entrance.
- Click on the camera several times to remove it from its case. Use the camera (H4) to take a picture of the chalkboard in the hole in the wall.
- Go to the playground.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then the metal clamp (K4) under the tires to retrieve the clamp.
- Use the saw (E4) to saw the rings (L4) off the swing set. Place the metal clamp (K4) on the rings (L4).
- Use the chain with rings (M4) to rip the dormitory door off its hinges.
- Remove the bolts with the wrench (G4). Take the ramp (N4).
- Enter the dormitory.
- Take the locket gem (J4) located in the bedside table.
- Take the photos (O4) taped to the chalk board.
- Go to the foyer.
- Place the ramp (N4) across the hole in the floor. Take the rail (P4) located on the door.
- Use the key (I4) to open the door.
- Go to the creativity room.
- Open the briefcase located on the arm chair by placing the lock parts in the correct positions.
- Use the glue (U3) to fix the plane. Take the plane (Q4).
- Go to the director's office.
- Insert the photos (O4) in the photo mount.
- Take a photo of each animal when its outline is green.
- Take the key with a crescent moon (R4).
- Go to the crest of the hill.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the tree located by the gap to knock over the tree.
- Go to the junkyard gate.
- Place the key with a crescent moon (R4) where it belongs.
- Take the crowbar (S4).
- Go to the crest of the hill.
- Use the crowbar (S4) to pry open the hood of the truck.
- Take the rail (P4) and the locket gem (J4) located under the hood of the truck.
- Insert the locket gems (J4) in the locket (A4). Align the gems to complete the locket (A4).
- Go to the dormitory.
- Insert the locket (A4) in the case.
- Assemble the cat figurines to open the case.
- Take the plane (T4).
- Hang the planes (Q4 and T4) on the hooks under the cabinet. Take the razor (U4) and the rail (P4).
- Place the rails (P4) on the railroad. Wind up the toy train. Take the light bulb (V4).
- Go to the playground.
- Use the razor (U4) to cut the rope ladder (W4).
- Go to the creativity room.
- Screw the light bulb (V4) into the empty socket on the string of holiday lights.
- Turn on the holiday lights.
- Open the HOP scene. Find and use every item to get the number cube (X4).
- Take the box cutter located on the chalkboard. Use the box cutter to open the box. Take the nutcracker's arm.
- Place the nutcracker's arm where it belongs. Pull it. Take the butterfly key out of the nutcracker's mouth. Place the key on the purse.
- Take the sticky tape located on the rabbit's ear. Use the tape to fix the broken safe part that's in the purse. Take the safe part.
- Place the safe part on the broken safe dial. Take the safe dial. Place it on the safe in the wardrobe.
- Take the Allen wrench located in the wardrobe. Place it on the toy crane. Take the hook.
- Open the curtain.
- Use the hook to retrieve the key from the jar located on the shelf behind the curtain.
- Use the key to open the closet drawer. Take the safe part and place it in the closet safe.
- Take the safe dial. Place the safe dial where it belongs.
- Take the sponge from the closet drawer and use it on the chalkboard.
- Unlock the closet safe using the code on the chalkboard.
- Take the cube (X4).
- Place the number cube (X4) on the pole.
- Shine the flashlight (X3) through the cubes.
- Go to the dormitory.
- Move the bedside table. Lift the rug.
- Click on the symbols on the hatch in the correct order.
- Take the key with a painter's palette (Y4).
- Go to the crest of the hill.
- Hang the rope ladder (W4) on the tree.
- Open the HOP scene. Find and use every item to get the key with a tree (Z4).
- Take the vice handle and the matches located in the tire swing.
- Use the matches to light the candle. Take the candle.
- Click on the board nailed onto the tree to remove it.
- Place the candle in the hole in the tree.
- Place the vice handle on the vice. Loosen the vice.
- Click on the required symbols on the case.
- Take the magnet on a rope.
- Click on the car seat to move it forward.
- Use the magnet on a rope to retrieve the saw from under the tree house.
- Click on the trunk above the door to lift it.
- Take the sledgehammer.
- Use the saw to cut the plank keeping the door shut.
- Take the car-shaped key located in the tree house.
- Use the key to open the car door. Take the bent sword. Place the bent sword on the anvil.
- Use the sledgehammer to repair the bent sword. Insert the sword in the stone.
- Click on the swords in the correct order. Take the key with a tree.
- Go to the junkyard gate.
- Place the key with a painter's palette (Y4) and the key with a tree (Z4) on the junkyard gate.
- Enter the junkyard.
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the stone to lift the stone out of the wheelbarrow. Take the wheelbarrow (A5).
- Click on Kevin's portrait and then click on the ladder to lower the ladder.
- Enter the crane.
- Take the screwdriver (B5) located in the jacket pocket.
- Go to the crest of the hill.
- Use the saw (E4) to remove the hook. Place the hook in the wheelbarrow (A4). Take the wheelbarrow with a hook.
- Use the screwdriver (B5) to remove the screws on the doll located under the hood of the truck. Click on the wires. Take the snuff box key (D5).
- Place the snuff box key (D5) on the snuff box (R3). Take the battery (E5).
- Go to the junkyard.
- Place the wheelbarrow with a hook (C5) on the ground under the crane's hook block.
- Go to the crane cabin.
- Place the battery (E5) where it belongs.
- Push the lever.
- Use the levers to retrieve the yellow container. Place the container on the ground.
- Go to the junkyard.
- Open the container.
- Enter the container.
- Turn on the flashlight (X3).
- Move the furniture out of the way.
- Click on the files.
- Find the green file labeled «Project Indigo». Take it.
Chapter 5: Base
- Take the wheel (F5) located in the middle of the floor.
- Take the wheel (F5) located on the floor near the fridge. Place the wheels (F5) on the forklift.
- Move the trash located in the cardboard box. Take the cane (G5).
- Move the forklift to the refrigerator.
- Use the cane (G5) to pull the fridge onto the forklift.
- Click on Agent Hunt's portrait and then the forklift to move the fridge under the air conditioner.
- Click on the air conditioner.
- Take the coin (H5) from the agent.
- Use the coin (H5) to remove the screws under the air conditioner.
- Go to the kitchen.
- Take the meat mallet (I5).
- Take the rusty butcher's knife (J5) located in the sink.
- Click on Agent Hunt's portrait and then the door to the surveillance room to knock down the door.
- Enter the surveillance room.
- Take the sticky tape (L5) located next to the monitor.
- Take the detonator (K5) located on the table.
- Go to the cold room.
- Sharpen the rusty butcher's knife (J5). Take the sharpened butcher's knife (J5).
- Go to the kitchen.
- Use the sharpened butcher's knife (J5) to remove the twigs on the door to the terrace.
- Walk onto the terrace.
- Click on the green tarp several times to move it off the crates. Take the malachite (M5).
- Take the faucet handle (N5).
- Take the rag (O5).
- Go to the kitchen.
- Place the faucet handle on the faucet. Turn on the water. Moisten the rag (O5). Take the wet rag (P5).
- Open the HOP scene. Find and use every item to get the winch handle (Q5).
- Take the spice jar. Place it with the other spices. Click on the jars in the correct order. Take the solid alcohol.
- Place the solid alcohol on the burner.
- Take the scissors located in the basket. Use the scissors to cut the rope on the sack.
- Take the lighter. Use the lighter to light the solid alcohol.
- Take the burner stand. Place it over the burner.
- Take the pot. Place it on the burner stand.
- Take the spatula. Use the spatula to pry the candles off the plate.
- Place the candles in the pot to melt the candles. Take the screwdriver tip.
- Try to take the screwdriver located in the basket.
- Place the screwdriver tip on the screwdriver handle.
- Use the screwdriver to remove the screws on the grate.
- Take the winch handle.
- Go to the terrace.
- Place the winch handle (Q5) on the winch. Use the winch to raise the crate. Open the crate. Take the fuses (R5).
- Go to the surveillance room.
- Use the wet rag (P5) to clean the fuse box.
- Enter the code into the computer.
- Insert the fuses (R5) into the opened fuse box.
- Go to the garden.
- Click on the pile of stones. Take the malachite (S5). Throw the three small stones at the balloons. Take the skull key (T5).
- Go to the cold room.
- Use the skull-shaped key (T5) to open the lock on the crate. Take the dynamite (U5).
