General Tips
- This is the official guide for Phantasmat: Death in Hardcover.
- This guide won't tell you when to zoom into a location; the screenshots show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. Only the locations of the HOPs will be shown.
- Use the Map to fast travel to a location.
Chapter 1: Room 206
- Try to go through door (A).
- Take EMPTY BOX CUTTER, PHOTO STICK, and BLADE (B).
- Move bag; take PINECONE LID (C).
- BLADE in EMPTY BOX CUTTER and select wheel; receive BOX CUTTER.
- Use BOX CUTTER (D). Play HOP; receive LANTERN EMBLEM.
- Answer phone (E); select mail icon and choose Reply. Choose a question twice and hit Reply after each time. Choose one last question.
- Place LANTERN EMBLEM; take CARABINER and DOOR KEY (F).
- Use DOOR KEY (G).
- Enter (H).
- Select books on scene.
- Select radio; look at magazine (I).
- Open drawer; take SUITCASE TAG and select vase (J).
- Place PINECONE LID; take DECORATIVE STONES 1/3 (K).
- Move pictures; take DECORATIVE STONES 2/3 and LANTERN (L).
- Place LANTERN (M).
- Solution one (@1): Ax2-C-E-F-G-E-F-E-H.
- Solution two (@2): Ax2-B-C-Dx2-E-F-E-I.
- Take SHARP SHELL (N). Select twice; take PENCIL (N1).
- Walk down.
- Use PENCIL and open envelope; take BRASS PEDAL and SMALL COG (O).
- Go (P).
- Use BRASS PEDAL and SMALL COG (Q); look at photo; take DECORATIVE STONES 3/3 (Q1).
- Place DECORATIVE STONES 3/3; select all three (R).
- Look at newspaper; take UNLOADED GUN and CHARGER (S).
- Walk down.
- Use CHARGER (T1) and select phone (T2) and then Joan (T3).
- Select phone twice; take KEY FOB (U).
- Use KEY FOB and go (V).
- Select scene. Exit Car (W).
- Talk (X). Take TOUR FLYER (Y).
- Take Map (A). Flip monitor around and select file icon (B).
- Use PHOTO STICK (C).
- Open book and select twice (D); receive GUEST BOOK.
- Place GUEST BOOK over the rooms. Select Room 206 and enter (E).
- Talk (F). Give TOUR FLYER (G).
- Look at note (purple).
- Remove sheet (H). Play HOP; receive SEAHORSE.
- Place SUITCASE TAG; select Ix3-J-Kx2.
- Look at book and select; take INCOMPLETE MAP (L).
- Place SEAHORSE; take USB STICK (M).
- Take DOOR HANDLE (N).
- Walk down.
- Use USB STICK (O). Select icon (P).
- Take CROCHET HOOK and SCREWS 1/2 (Q).
- Go (R).
- Use CROCHET HOOK; take SCREWS 2/2 (S).
- SCREWS 2/2 on DOOR HANDLE; receive HANDLE.
- Place HANDLE and select; take METAL TILE and FERTILIZER (T).
- Walk down.
- Place METAL TILE. Solution (@3): (G-D)-(C-E)-(H-F)-(I-C)-(F-I)-(C-F)-(B-H)-(A-G)-(F-A)-(E-B).
- (J-C)-(K-E)-(L-F)-(G-L)-(F-G)-(E-K)-(C-E)-(B-F)-(A-J)-(G-A)-(F-B)-(J-G)-(K-C).

- Go (U).
- Take MATCHES and ANCHOR (V).
- Open door; take METAL PIPE (W).
- Look at ID. Use SHARP SHELL (W1); receive CLOTH.
- Open door; take FUEL (X). Use SHARP SHELL (Y); receive HOSE.
- Look at note (Z).
- Walk down.
- Place ANCHOR; take LIQUID NITROGEN and SUN (A).
- Go (B).
- Place SUN; take BOTTLE and HOSE ATTACHMENT (C).
- Walk down.
- Place FUEL and HOSE; use HOSE ATTACHMENT (D); take FUEL TANK.
- Go (E).
- Use FUEL TANK (F). Play HOP; receive PIN.
- FERTILIZER, CLOTH, and MATCHES on BOTTLE; receive SMOKE BOMB.
- Use SMOKE BOMB; take RING (G).
- Place STONE RING and PIN. Solution (H).
- Go (I).
- Select scene.
- Open book and select twice; take PUNCH CARD (J).
- Select K-L-M.
- Select twice; take SAFETY HELMET (N).
- Go (O).
- Look at note; use PUNCH CARD (P). Select lever (Q). Take SCREWDRIVER BATTERY (R).
- Take HEX BIT (S).
- Move left.
- Use LIQUID NITROGEN and METAL PIPE; take WOODEN TOTEM (T).
- Use SAFETY HELMET (U). Play HOP; receive CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER.
- Go Under the Docks.
- SCREWDRIVER BATTERY and HEX BIT on CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER; take CORDLESS TORQUE WRENCH.
- Use CORDLESS TORQUE WRENCH. (V); take CRANK HANDLE (W).
- Go (X).
- Attach CARABINER (Y) and CRANK HANDLE (Y1).
- Solution (1-6).
- Remove sheet (not pictured).
Chapter 2: Rose Bay Town
- Take TRICK BOX (J1).
- WOODEN TOTEM on TRICK BOX. Solution (@4): (A-H)-(C-I)-(S)-(B-G)-(S)-(A-F)-(B-E)-(C-D).
- Look at note; take TAPE and EYE (J2).
- Use METAL PIPE and select; receive BARS 1/3 (K).
- Go (L).
- Pull (M).
- Select scene.
- Use CROCHET HOOK (N) and select; take ROPE.
- Take LAB COAT (O).
- Select eyelid; place EYE (P).
- Place LAB COAT; take POPCORN and FIRECRACKER (Q).
- Use TAPE (R). Play HOP.
- Take MAP FRAGMENT (S).
- Walk down; go forward (T).
- Place POPCORN and open door; take GLUE and SAW (U).
- Go (V).
- Take WEIGHTS 1/2 and TRASH CAN (W).
- Use SAW; receive BARS 2/3. Select latch and open window; take CAMERA and WEIGHTS 2/2 (X).
- Walk down.
- Use ROPE, TRASH CAN, and WEIGHTS 2/2 (Y). Select 3x; enter Cinema Lobby.
- Try to go (A).
- Take COCONUT OIL (B).
- Use CAMERA (C); receive LOCK PHOTO.
- Walk down.
- Place LOCK PHOTO (D).
- Solution (E-Fx3)-(Ex3-F)-(Fx3-E).
- Receive BARS 3/3. Take SHOWCASE KEY (G).
- Go to Cinema Lobby.
- Use SHOWCASE KEY; take BANDANA (H).
- Walk down.
- Use GLUE and BARS 3/3 (H1); select ladder.
- Use BANDANA (I); take LETTER J (J).
- Go (K).
- Use LETTER J (L); receive NAIL.
- Take YARN DOLL and LIGHTER (M).
- Use YARN DOLL (N).
- Open container (O). Play HOP; receive COINS.
- Go to Cinema Lobby.
- Use COINS (P); select handle (Q); take GUM (R).
- Use LIGHTER; take FIRE HELMET (S).
- Walk down.
- Use GUM, FIRECRACKER and LIGHTER; take FELT PEN and GAME TOKEN (T).
- Go to Cinema Lobby.
- Insert GAME TOKEN (U).
- Solution: C-B-A-D-C-B-A-B-C-D-A-D-C-B-C-B-A.
- Take GRABBER.
- Use GRABBER (E); receive BULLET.
- BULLET in UNLOADED GUN; receive GUN.
- Use GUN (F); aim and select (G); receive UNLOADED GUN.
- Go (H).
- Move box (I). Use COCONUT OIL (J).
- Select photo (K).
- Go (L).
- Look at poster (M).
- Talk (N).
- Take RIBBON (O).
- Walk down twice.
- Place RIBBON (P). Play HOP; receive LASER.
- Go to Projection Booth.
- Use LASER; select three film strips (Q). Take REEL BOX and look at strip (R).
- Take FILM and REEL (S).
- Use NAIL and REEL BOX; take TICKET and DIAMOND (T).
- Walk down.
- Place DIAMOND; swap fragments as shown (U).
- Take HAMMERHEAD (V).
- Solution (W).
- Take WIRE (X).
- Use HAMMERHEAD and select lever (Y).
- Go (Z).
- Take BROKEN TOOL (A).
- Select hose (B).
- Walk down twice.
- WIRE on BROKEN TOOL; receive WIRE CUTTER.
- Use WIRE CUTTER (C); receive BRANCH.
- Go to Projection Booth.
- Use BRANCH (D). Play HOP; receive SWITCH.
- Walk down.
- Place SWITCH and select (E).
- Use TICKET on seats. Select Row 3 (F). Seat 3 (G).
- Take REEL PIN (H).
- Go (I).
- FILM and REEL PIN on REEL; receive FILM ROLL.
- Use FILM ROLL. Solution (J).
- Look at book; take SKULL.
- Walk down.
- Place SKULL; take MAP FRAGMENT and RED WHEEL (K).
- Go (L).
- Place FIRE HELMET and RED WHEEL (M).
- Pull rope (N).
- Go (O).
Chapter 3: Bowling Alley
- Look at newspaper; take WASH TOKEN and BULLET (P).
- BULLET in UNLOADED GUN; receive GUN.
- Use GUN, aim here and select (Q). Receive ANCHOR ARM.
- Enter (R).
- Take CORKSCREW and SPRING (S).
- Walk down.
- Press button and place SPRING (T); replace button (U). Select V and T.
- Play HOP (W); receive MOP HANDLE.
- Go to Bowling Alley.
- Use MOP HANDLE (X); take WRENCH ADAPTER (X1).
- Use ANCHOR ARM; take BOWLING BALLS 1/2 (Y).
- Walk down.
- Place WRENCH ADAPTER (Z1); select. Take PLASTIC SHEET and SHOEHORN (Z2).
- Go (Z3).
- Use SHOEHORN (A); receive ROUND KEY and take BOWLING BALLS 2/2 (B).
- Use ROUND KEY (C).
- Place BOWLING BALLS 2/2 (D).
- Select (E) 7x. When (F) is in position shown, select (G).
- When (H) is in position shown, select (I).
- Take CIGAR CUTTER (J).
- Walk down.
- Use CIGAR CUTTER; select (K).
- Select (L-M).
- Go (N).
- Select scene.
- Play HOP (O); receive DIRTY MAGNET.
- Go (P).
- Take GOLF BALLS 1/3 (Q).
- Use WASH TOKEN and DIRTY MAGNET (R). Press third button (S); receive MAGNET.
- Use CORKSCREW; take HUBCAP (T).
- Walk down.
- Use MAGNET (U); take FISHING LINE and RING (V).
- Go (W).
- Use FISHING LINE (X). Solution (Y).
- Receive ICE AXE.
- Walk down.
- Use ICE AXE (Z).
- Enter (Z1).
- Talk (A).
- Take WELDING TORCH (B).
- Select twice (C).
- Go (D).
- Take TABLE LEG (E).
- Select gears, use WELDING TORCH and select (F); take FORK and DECORATIONS 1/3 (orange).
- Use WELDING TORCH (G). Play HOP; receive SPATULA.
- Walk down.
- Take CLUB HANDLE and DECORATIONS 2/3 (H).
- Look at book and answer phone. Use PLASTIC SHEET and FELT PEN (I); receive CLUE.
- Use SPATULA; receive DUST and take DECORATIONS 3/3 (J).
- Go (K).
- Place DECORATIONS 3/3; take GRIP and TAPE MEASURE (L).
- Walk down twice.
- Use TAPE MEASURE and look at paper; take BELT (M).
- Go (N).
- Use BELT (O); receive MIRROR SHARD.
- Go (P).
- Use MIRROR SHARD; take VACUUM and LOCK CHAIN (Q).
- Walk down.
- Place DUST and LOCK CHAIN (R).
- Solution (S): 4-9-4-6-4-4-4-9-6-11-4-4-4-6-4.
- Enter (T).
Chapter 4: Manager's Office
- Take CURTAIN and NUTCRACKER (A).
- Select CURTAIN twice; receive SEAT.
- Select photo and picture (B).
- Use RING (C). Open compartment; take GOLF BALLS 2/3 and BOOK (D).
- Walk down.
- Place BOOK (E).
- Solution (F).
- Use CLUE. Solution (G): (5-6-2); receive NUMBER SEQUENCE.
- Place NUMBER SEQUENCE and select phone; press 562 (H).
- Flip phone; take CLOCK HANDS 1/2 and GHOST EMBLEM (I).
- Go (J).
- Place GHOST EMBLEM (K). Play HOP; receive PENDULUM.
- Place PENDULUM; take MAGNETIC GLOVES (L).
- Walk down.
- Use MAGNETIC GLOVES (M).
- Take CLOCK HANDS 2/2 (N).
- Use MIRROR SHARD and FORK; take HEAD and LONG CHAIN (O).
- Use TABLE LEG, LONG CHAIN (P) and SEAT (Q).
- Climb Down (R).
- Take MAP FRAGMENT (S).
- Receive METAL CHAIN.
- Go to Manager's Office.
- Place CLOCK HANDS 2/2. Solution (T). Take GOLF BALLS 3/3 (U).
- GRIP and HEAD on CLUB HANDLE; receive GOLF CLUB.
- Place GOLF BALLS 3/3 and GOLF CLUB; select each ball (orange). Take UV LIGHT (V).
- Three MAP FRAGMENTS and UV LIGHT on INCOMPLETE MAP.
- Solution one (@5): U-L-A-L-D-L-D-A-L-U-R-A-U. Take Fishing Rod (B).
- Solution two (@6): D-A-L-D-R-A-U-R-U-R-U-L-U-L-U-L-A. Use Fishing Rod (orange) on fish (C); take fish.
- Solution three (@7): A-R-U. Use Fish (purple) on Crocodile (E).
- Solution four (@8): U-A-Rx2-D-A-R. Take Raft (F).
- Solution five (@9): L-A-U-Lx2-A-D-L-A. Use Raft on area marked with G. Select: L-D-L-U-A-L.
- Receive ROSE BAY MAP.
- Walk down twice.
- Place ROSE BAY MAP and go (W).
- Take REED (X).
- HUBCAP on METAL CHAIN; receive LASSO.
- Place LASSO (Y); receive LIMB.
- Play HOP (Z); receive SICKLE.
- Use SICKLE and VACUUM; take BLADES 1/3 (A).
- Use LIMB (B1) and go (B2).
- Talk (C).
- Take CRYSTALS 1/2 (D).
- Use NUTCRACKER (E); receive RIB. Take ANTENNA (F).
- Go (G).
- Look at note (H); take BROKEN TROWEL and LETTER D (I).
- Use RIB; take SYRINGE BARREL and CRYSTALS 2/2 (J).
- Place CRYSTALS 2/2 (K).
- Solution (L).
- Take BROKEN PLAQUE and CADUCEUS (M).
- Walk down.
- LETTER D on BROKEN PLAQUE; receive PLAQUE.
- Place PLAQUE and look at book. Take RUBBER BAND (N). Select typewriter.
- REED and RUBBER BAND on BROKEN TROWEL; receive TROWEL.
- Use TROWEL (O). Play HOP; receive ETCHING SCRIBE.
- Pull handle; use ETCHING SCRIBE (P).
- Enter (Q).
- Take WOODEN BOX, CHIPS 1/3, and BEAR (R).
- Select WOODEN BOX. Solution (S).
- Place BEAR on WOODEN BOX; look at note and photo; take BLADES 2/3 and KNOB.
- Go to Bunker.
- Take CHIPS 2/3 (U).
- Place KNOB (V).
- Solution (1-17).
- Take WRENCH.
- Walk left, then down.
- Use WRENCH; take METAL WHEEL and SYRINGE PLUNGER (W).
- Go (X).
- Place METAL WHEEL (Y). Play HOP; receive CROSS.
- Go to Bunker.
- Place CROSS; take NEEDLE and SWORD (A).
- Place SWORD; take CHIPS 3/3 (B).
- Walk left.
- Place CHIPS 3/3 (C).
- Swap chips as shown (C).
- Place (J) as shown.
- Move (C-K)-(E-N). Place (K) and (N) as shown.
- Move (J-H)-(N-B)-(K-D). Place (B), (H), and (D) as shown.
- Swap tiles. Solution (@11).
- Take CHEMISTRY BOOK and BLADES 3/3.
- Go to Bunker.
- Use BLADES 3/3 (P); receive ROTOR BLADES.
- Place ANTENNA (Q) and ROTOR BLADES (R); receive HELICOPTER.
- Walk left.
- Use HELICOPTER (S); take ANTLER (T).
- Go to Trailer.
- Press button (U). Place ANTLER; take CAN OPENER and SHARP ANTLER (V).
- Go to Bunker.
- Use CAN OPENER (W). Play HOP; receive RED HANDLE.
- Use RED HANDLE (X); take SCISSORS (Y).
- Use SCISSORS (Z); receive RUBBER TUBE.
- Walk left.
- Place RUBBER TUBE and SHARP ANTLER (Z1); receive CROSSBOW.
- Use CROSSBOW and enter (Z2).
- Select balloons on left and balloons on right.
- Use CROSSBOW on balloons. Solution: B-F-D-A-H-I-C-E-G-J.
- Use CROSSBOW (K).
- SYRINGE PLUNGER and NEEDLE on SYRINGE BARREL; receive SYRINGE.
- Place CADUCEUS and use CHEMISTRY BOOK; select book twice (L).
- Select 1-2; use SYRINGE on bottles; receive ANTIDOTE.
- Select plunger (M). Select arm and use ANTIDOTE (N).
- Congratulations, you've completed Phantasmat: Death in Hardcover.
