I love Pixel Art and look forward to every new game. I play each game multiple times until Big Fish brings another. I play this game on my PC. My review is set to my PC as I know this game may be slightly different on tablets or phones.
You can make this game as easy or hard as you want. I can't see the small squares on my computer, so I have to enlarge the areas. Depending on how large you make the areas, the easier it is to find the numbers. Also the larger the area the numbers of the color selected stick out because they are greyed out. As you select the size of the picture the amount of grey varies. To challenge yourself you can hunt the entire puzzle for all the same numbers and fill them in, or you can fill a small area at a time selecting just the numbers in that area. Some puzzles take a few minutes to finish, others can take hours.
They give you sliders to make the background darker and change the size of your puzzle. In addition they give you arrows to switch between levels of colors. If you have a wheel on your mouse, you can change the size of your puzzle by being on the puzzle and rolling the wheel. Easier than shifting to the slider. Also if you put your mouse over the colors you can scroll to the color you want rather than selecting the arrows. Both of these options make it faster.
I was a little unhappy that they changed the timer bar to grey. It is hard to see where it is at. I prefer the green.
Spoiler: If you like filling out all the large areas first, I figured out a fast way. As you select each picture, the timer bar is full. This allows you to double click a large area and fill it in. If you select the box in the lower right corner to leave the picture, you can choose "select level" and it takes you back to where you can select the pictures. Reselect the picture you are working on and you can select another large area to double click.
My only dislike of this game is sometimes there are so many color changes in each area that when the picture is complete, it is still hard for me figure out what it looks like. I'm not sure if someone who would actually painted these pictures would make this many small changes in each area.
Big Fish just brought out this game and I'm all ready I'm looking forward to the next. Enjoy the game if you really like paint by number projects. Show less

Pixel Art always appeals to me because I Iove to color and it satisfies that artsy sense in me without much thought applied to the process. Sometimes I just need relaxing entertainment and this is it, along with the subtle sounds of nature in the background. I own all the Pixel Art releases and go to them quite often to wind down. They are a good distraction from the stress of lockdown.

I agree with Pennmom's favorable comments, but I have only a couple of complaints. They are the same in each Pixel Art even though they don't prevent me from having fun and never cause me to remove a star from my rating. I wish the finished pictures were much larger and more clearly defined, far too blurry. And having the option to save as wallpaper would be really nice. Other than that, I am very pleased with the many hours of pixel painting offered and love the variety of pictures.
And, yes, the cat is truly awesome in this new collection. Would absolutely love to see MORE of this type of imagery in future Pixel Art games, not just for the gorgeous pictures but also for the higher level of challenge.
I didn't bother with the demo, just bought it and jumped right in. I always get my money's worth with this series and feel confident recommending Pixel Art. But try the demo, as we all have different opinions. Maybe you, too, will enjoy pixel "painting." Show less

it could be better as far as having more hard ones, and much more color in the pictures. Make it more fun to do by the color and subject, yes.
But the reason I like these above the others is because,to me, they are the most like real painting and they do have some challenge, unlike some similar ones. Please keep making these.
I recommend this game!

I have been a fan of Pixel Art for quite some time but what I'm noticing, from one game to the next, is that the challenge remains the same instead of progressing in difficulty. I have been a fan of Pixel Art for quite some time but what I'm noticing, from one game to the next, is that the challenge remains the same instead of progressing in difficulty. I was quite happy with some of the larger images offered in Pixel Art 7, such as the cat's face which took me a while to complete. (on level 8 I believe?)
I'd still like to see a few options added such as an Undo button, a Cursor option of different widths (the current custom cursor is way too large and bulky) a full-color palette for the Background Colors, a full-color palette to choose the color of "shaded" current numbered pixels, and an option to save the completed images as a screensaver or wallpaper, makes sense, right?
When I played the first Pixel Art game, I wasn't a fan because the demo portion mostly offers small puzzles with very few pixels and even fewer details. I purchased the original Pixel Art game with a PCC and to my delight, discovered that the puzzles became more intense after the demo and I was hooked! I found my "ZEN" these puzzles are totally relaxing and a great way to just zone out and chillax. When I say intense, I just mean more intricate, because the puzzles don't actually require a lot of thought, but that's the beauty of it...it's not supposed to be a brain-burner! The accompanying music is soothing with occasional nature sounds blended into the background to make the experience even more peaceful, with frogs and crickets chirping or the sounds of waves as they ebb and flow.
There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers. Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well.
There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, it really only allows you to change the colors in shades of grey to black. To me, it would make more sense to have an entire color scale available on a paint by numbers game though, wouldn't it?

I love playing this but I find the larger the graph and more colors the arrow is hard to control. it jumps everywhere and causes you to hit the wrong number. Please fix this as it makes it no fun to play.

I love the pixel art games but it has several issues that need to be fixed. First many of the shading colors are so similar it's very hard to tell them apart especially when it's a large picture.
