I have played every 8Floor game that Big Fish has offered and will continue to do so. I enjoy eliminating the gold cards and not having piles of unwanted cards that waste a lot of time as some other solitaire games do. So Big Fish, as far as I'm concerned keep them coming.
I recommend this game!

Typical up/down solitaire - not too easy but not frustratingly difficult. I enjoy this type of solitaire and while it is nothing new gamewise I liked the different layouts and visuals. Probably a buy for me.

Not a bad little game, getting the gold cards is not so terrible. Dont care for the idea of buying undo after the first free one. I personally think you should get a new one at the start of each game.

Same game different pictures. Chain Solitaire find gold card and game is complete even if you have cards left to play. Not a buy for me. I keep downloading and trying hoping the developer has gotten the message but the past 4 games have been the same type of game just different pictures and different music. NOT a new game just new wallpaper.
I don't recommend this game.

Don't let the first couple of levels fool you into thinking this is a solitaire game where you will be able to remove all of the cards from the board, this just isn't the case! This developer is pretty sneaky in the demo, they give you a ton of deck cards in the first few levels which makes it really easy to remove most, if not all of the cards on the board. With each new level, the deck cards dwindle to a bare minimum, and by the time you roll around to level 7 you begin to realize that you will have serious issues removing all of the special Gold Cards much less being able to remove all of the cards.
Nearly every level is set up in a manner that makes it 100% impossible to remove all of the cards because at least one of the final Gold Cards is located on top of the heap of remaining cards. Once you remove the final Gold Card, it's game over, even if 50+ cards were still on the board. I get that some people enjoy this type of Solitaire feature, but most solitaire fans want to be able to remove all of the cards. Why can't this developer add a feature that allows us to continue playing until all cards have been removed? I'm not asking for the game to have a complete overhaul, I'm simply asking that they ADD a small option that gives the player a choice to continue playing!
Of course, this developer will never change or tweak the features in any of their games because that would require them to re-code a new program and everyone knows that this developer doesn't actually make new games, they simply copy & paste the same solitaire game program onto different backgrounds and give it a new title! (Titles that deceive the player into thinking the game has a plot?)

Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font) The music isn't bad, but yes, it too is the same, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with an awkward silence.
As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack. Same Features, Nothing changed here either?!
This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game (of course it is) where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location. Yup, still the same feature?!
When you remove cards with a flower, you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle, or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000 apiece. Lucky us, they decided to add several more bonus cards per level which translates to an agonizing game interruption because the game freezes time to show you what you have just won. Same ole-same ole feature?!
Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I never buy them, therefore, I never play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC. The only reason I play the demo is that I hold on to the dream that one day they will add an option to remove all cards...one could say my dreams are unrealistic, or perhaps that it's time to lower my Solitaire Standards?
When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider buying them, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards. Until they bother to change something, anything...I will continue giving them a single star, I'd give them ZERO stars if I could! Come join me on my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net Show less

The backgrounds are dark and ugly, the cards are ugly, the game is boring. There are 20 locations in each mode. In Newbie any level can be replayed, in Professional only the entire pack can be replayed.
Each game starts off with a fat deck, little good that is when nearly every card you flip is useless. Also, it's difficult to progress when you have 5 and 6 of the same numbered cards on the table, giving you few chances to make a move. Right away I feel doomed to failure. When all the gold cards, usually more than a couple, are removed the game is over. I try to avoid them but ultimately they have to be played. In most cases there are lots of cards left on the board. This gold card thing is a definite game spoiler that needs to be eliminated.
If you want to Undo or Shuffle you must take a trip to the pricey Shop where you can find them along with the Jokers. That is a big turn-off for me. I think Undo and Shuffle should be included for free with the option to buy extras.
In my opinion, 8 Floor should consider another line of business or hire someone skilled in creating good entertainment. It's not just me, so many others agree that something has to change but our requests and suggestions are always ignored.
But then again, this game might be perfectly fine if you want a simple solitaire and think the gold cards are spiffy, just needing a little escape from the usual games we all play every day. Show less

The only mystery here is why do they keep producing the same game time after time after time ?

On top of that the usual which has been said by others, once you have all the gold cards, that is it, game over,
They should take a look at other solitaire games and see the right way to do it.
If you have never played this developers solitaire before then you may like it but trust me, play one and you have played them all and there are heaps of them.
This developer used to do brilliant tower defense games and I have them all.
Bring out more of them and I might start buying again.
