Domini Games does not disappoint. This is my third game in a row this year that I decided to buy the game without hesitation regardless of whether the reviews are high or low. Domini Games does not disappoint. This is my third game in a row this year that I decided to buy the game without hesitation regardless of whether the reviews are high or low. I love these developers! #1, the artwork is inviting and refreshing and always puts a smile on my face; #2, not once was I bored playing this game as the story and the tasks and the minigames had me engrossed the whole time, and #3, the minigames and interactive hidden object scenes were different compared to other cookie-cutter games I've played before. The flow was great and the game-play was well-organized.

I'm basing my review on a completed SE version of this game and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The storyline was wonderful; the artwork by these developers is one of the best around and the map and hint button were flawless.

Some of the tasks were easy-peasy, but let me tell you many were not and at the same time they were tedious and thought-provoking, which I like. This is a feel-good game with crisp, beautiful graphics and great voiceovers.

There is was one hidden object scene I thought was very cool in that there were objects you had to find among the cluttered items that were all over the place, but what was neat and different was that there were two lenses that you could click on which changed the color of the background and the items to a mix of bright oranges and/or vibrant blues when you clicked on one or the other. So cool!

I highly recommend this game. Try it out first if you wish. You won't be sorry, but we're all different so whatever floats your boat! Show less

This game caught me from the beginning. Good visuals, interesting storyline, interesting game play. I liked the option Match 3 or HOP.
Played the demo and had to have more- a buy for me.

I thought this game would win the end of year awards. It's very colorful with rich Christmas decorations and the puzzles are not overwhelming. It has nice Easter eggs of Christmas tree decorations and tokens to decorate a lovely Christmas room. The music can be kind of weird at times but it's not bad.

the evil woman wants to stop christmas in the village and also free rumpel (rumpelstiltskin) to get his help. she is against any christmas. a surprise ending. i played on the custom level and there is a good system.

This is the way a Christmas Story should be, wickedness running amuck, while still remaining light-hearted and full of Christmas Cheer...and of course, a "Happily Ever After" ending. Well done big D, and did I detect a bit of sarcasm in response to the "other" Christmas game?

Gadget/Helper (9 times in the main chapter only)
There is a Magical Mirror Gadget that allows you to communicate with your father, Wilhelm Grimm. Because they don't have an unlimited Data Plan in Fairyworld, you'll have to get your "minutes" by replacing one Blue and one Green Crystal, and naturally, the "minutes" don't roll-over and the Crystals shatter after each use.

Morphing Objects & Collectibles:
There are 15 Morphing Christmas Trees and 15 Constellations Collectibles that can be a little hard to spot in some scenes. Each scene has at least one Zoom-Zone Gingerbread Stars Collectible of varying amounts. The Gingerbread Stars are used to purchase 15 Boudoir items that are Christmas themed. The Collectibles and Morphing Objects are available throughout the Main Chapter as well as the Bonus Chapter (CE version)

Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 18 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter with an optional Match 3 Game available. There are several variations offered such as Interactive Listed Items, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Listed Multiples of Item Finds, Find & Replace Items, Combo Finds, and my favorite, Listed items that are missing letters.

Mini-Games:
There are 32 Mini-Games +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter, most of which can be played in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode.
Below are brief descriptions of some of my personal favorite puzzles from the game.

1-Place bells on shelves so each group of music symbols is surrounded by their symbol-related bells.
2-Slide beaded ropes up or down to align the symbols to the door's edge.
3-Use directional arrows to move the tassel the specified number of moves shown on each tile to land on the green tile.
4-Move, rotate and scale images to fit the highlights on the background.
5-Rotate triangle puzzle pieces to complete the image.
6-Drag a line between color-coded buttons without overlapping.

Bonus Chapter: (Collector's Edition version only)
There's no rest for Mother Holle as she tries to make this season bright. When Mother Holle refuses to hand over the keys to Christmas World, her sister Hedgewitch turns her into a mouse (there seems to be a lot of that going on nowadays) This is a fairly-lengthy chapter that takes place over 10 Scene Locations with 10 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes, You will pick up the remaining 4 Morphing Christmas Trees, 4 Constellations (completes the Constellation Room, and 16 Gingerbread Stars of various amounts which allows you to purchase the final Boudior purchases.

This game was so pleasant, it had me not wanting to leave this little world! I replayed all of the games in the bonus chapter.
While it is a lot of Christmas, I started to be amazed at how they found a way to tie in each little item into the holiday. Story was woven in well and the artwork was beautiful.

I recommend this game!
