"Saddle Up, Shut Up and Hold On Tight", partner, the Ghosts of Laruaville are rebuilding the Wild West! The newest BandiGhost may have crossed over but he still has an itchy trigger finger and he's dying to rob the train...cuz that's what he does! I wonder if the Wanted Posters say "WANTED: Dead or Undead?"
You can play in a Relaxed Mode, a Limited Moves, or a Limited Time Mode. After each Match 3 level, you can play a Hidden Object Scene, or a mini-game, such as Blocks, Mahjong, or my personal favorite, Spot the Difference with differences that aren't as obvious as you'd expect! You can skip the mini-games (and there is a Hint feature with no penalties) There is also a Hint feature on the Match 3 levels that point to the main goal feature, and of course, they have a Strategy Guide Booklet that explains every feature, including a Tips & Tricks section which is incredibly invaluable.
Laruaville is one of my favorite Match 3 games because you don't have to strain your brain to complete the level goals, and the goal of every level is simple...collect all the coins. Collecting these coins, however, can be incredibly challenging because this developer (LGT-SIA) is a master craftsman when it comes to M3 game mechanics. He is the one who blazes the path for other developers to follow because he's constantly creating unique and challenging features.
There are plenty of obstacles to make the goal more difficult, but overcoming those obstacles only matters if they prevent you from getting to the coins because getting the coins is all that matters.
There are several types of Coins available:
•Gold Coins: requires an adjacent match to collect.
•Frozen Coins: requires activating fires.
•Half Coins: requires joining 2 halves by making matches between the two halves.
•Locked Coins: requires bringing the key to the coin by making matches in front of the key to create a path.
•Coin Molds: requires guiding liquid gold to the mold to form a coin.
Every level is unique and requires a different strategy, figuring out that strategy really appeals to my inner puzzle geek! The Obstacles are usually different for each board or area within the level and the multi-layered strategies make the game challenging. In my opinion, this series is the easiest when compared to this developer's other series, such as Spellarium, and Cursed House. There may be a ton of Obstacles at each level, but again, if they aren't blocking a coin, and they don't interfere with a strategy to get to the coins there's no need to overcome those obstacles, especially when playing on the Limited Moves Mode.
Power-ups will destroy most obstacles as well:
•Crates: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Shielded Crates: requires an adjacent match on the unshielded portion. (rockets work too)
•Petals: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Clay: requires power-up or explosion to destroy.
•Stone: requires power-up or explosion to destroy.
•Fog: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Ice: requires a match 3 of whichever tile is trapped in the ice.
•Chains: requires a match 3 of whichever tile is chained.
•Keys: requires moving towards a locked coin by matching in between.
•Portals: requires moving the key to the key portals (portals also move drops and fire)
•Vials: requires filling with purple drops by matching vertically.
•Wooden Walls: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Stone Walls: requires several adjacent matches to remove.
•Gem Stone Walls: cannot be destroyed.
•Torches: spread fire to melt snow, ice, etc. by making adjacent matches.
Large Matches will earn Power-ups on the board, however, there are times when a Power-up can hurt rather than help (read the Tips & Tricks Book) Most power-ups can be moved or double-clicked to activate.
•Small Rocket: (match 5) vertical OR horizontal line busters (right-click to direct)
•Large Rocket: selects a target in order of importance.
•Bombs: explodes with an adjacent match (usually w/ a chain reaction)
•Cannons: requires an adjacent match on the Red Cell to activate.
The Coins are used to construct the town, this time we have a Ghostly Bandit who just can't seem to comprehend that a Ghost has no need for money...he doesn't even have pockets!
I've been playing for almost two hours now and it's immensely entertaining...Thank you Igore, for always thinking outside the box and creating awesome Match 3 games!

I love this series, I have all of them and this one doesn't disappoint. I don't need to go into great detail about the gameplay it's the same as the other ones. They come up with new ideas for the characters and I love the change to an old west theme. I bought this game very quickly. I recommend this game.

I am loving the Wild West theme, it's warming my heart & soul on a cool, gray, & rainy day in Chicagoland, & the first time I saw the Mr. Ghost "WANTED" poster tiles I literally laughed out loud, which I haven't done in some time!
There is definitely challenge, but not hair-pulling evilly so ~ real life is hard enough right now, don't need frustration in games I play to escape that for awhile...
...so, on to make a mug of hot chocolate & back to building my Ghost Town ~ thank you, Big Fish!

As far as I can see the only difference in the mechanics is that some of the gold coins drop from above wheras normally they are fixed in one place.
The graphics have improved and every layout is different so although there are no extra mechanics to deal with the old favorites are all there.
In the write up for the game it only mentions hidden object and spot the difference. You also get mahjong and the slider game that was added last game.
I will say at the moment I am not struggling at all with this game, having said that I feel it is good to have a more relaxed series so enabling people of different skill sets to have a go. It still is a challenge but a doable challenge.
The wild west theme really appeals to me and I am enjoying the sliders that were put in at the last game.
You still need to think and maybe some may find it too easy but for me I am happy.
Try the demo out and see what you think. I am just glad we have a great game to play as they are a bit thin on the ground recently.
I would also like to add that things are a bit tough at the moment so showing support for developers that bring us games here will be much appreciated.
If you have a fault with a game please report it to customer services as it tells you to do when you make a review.
Take care all.

I've never played this type of game because I thought they'd be super easy, mundane, and boring. I decided to give it a try today and I was surprised. It is challenging and fun! I thought the Match 3's would be regular and ho-hum. Nope! Different and fun. The Hidden Object Scenes are not so easy, as the objects are very well hidden. I LOVE Spot the Difference puzzles so I was happy to see those. ...Show more

Well today's new delight is just as colorful, cute, fun, challenging as the previous 11 games. I notice little changes along the way and they really keep the boredom for rearing it's ugly head. I have never been disappointed. The quirky little ghosts are humorous and their endeavors keep them busy enough!
The mini games are all fun. The HOs are always very well hidden. I am majorly stumped for quite a while sometimes, refusing to use a Hint and the Spot-The-Difference takes some time too, but neither game will make you cuckoo with frustration. I am loving the addition of the slider game, it's been a favorite for many years. This one is small, not crazy-hard and a refreshing change from solitaire. Also, the new slider bar on the game boards is a fun extra challenge that I am enjoying in Number 11. I just opened today's game so don't know if it is still here. The tiles are always a good size and different in every new game, removing the coins is still the ultimate goal and the entertainment never falters. I anticipate a new little something with each one.
This is much like Cursed House but not as difficult to maneuver about, but still requires strategy and thought to get to those coins. I prefer the tougher challenge of Cursed House but Laruaville offers plenty of it to be satisfying. The power-ups are just the right amount of help and without all the flashy fireworks involved as in other Match 3 games. It requires some thought as to how to use them to your advantage. The Hint is available only in some levels and it directs you to the trouble spot but you have to figure out how to solve your dilemma.
I'm always happy to purchase another Laruaville where there are no monsters, psychos and fairies to contend with. Those are okay in limited doses but some lighthearted fun is always welcomed. Give the demo a peek if you've not yet tried this Match 3. It's different, cute, colorful gameplay, has a little story attached and always a new theme. Show less
