Adventure
After years of digging, noted archeologist, Sir. Gil Blythe Geoffrey uncovered a secret chamber and an ancient papyrus scroll that revealed the whereabouts of an ancient treasure, The Ark of the Covenant. Further exploration led to the discovery of another prophetic scroll, the contents of which unravels an ominous mystery. You are called upon to lead the exploration and examination of the origins of this sacred scroll, whose symbols point to cultures of great intelligence.

I'm from the old school of adventure games and don't mind if a puzzle takes a bit to solve. This game is really good in the puzzle department, it holds your interest, and if you have a bit of the romantic in you, the Egyptian theme is quite satisfying.
The graphics show the game's age, but they're still very good. Overall, it's a game worth playing.
I recommend this game!

This is a tough game - but all is learnable but certainly NOT intuitive. The scrolls are keys to much - but it's hard to figure out what the scroll means or contains. My big complaint is that there is a LOT of stuff you accumulate that is totally unnecessary. Double skulls, extra scrolls that are meaningless, inventory tools only needed once that won't go away, and NOTHING that tells which skull is needed or not until the skull is absolutely needed and you don't have the RIGHT one. Combined with books and instructions that are visible but NOT savable, yet critical to many puzzles. Add the fact that you can "take a picture" of what you see - but it is NOT the full document, page, etc. WAY too much time wasted going back and forth unnessarily. The only puzzle that is totally irrational is the mixing of powders to make the last disc. Absolutely NOTHING I found gave ANY clue to what and how much - the marks on the stones were useless in spite of the walkthrough. This is the only puzzle I was not able to get done without the walkthrough. WAY TOO HARD!!
On the positive side, the graphics are great, the gameplay is even and smooth, and I never had any of the strange tech errors others reported. Show less

Replayed this game recently and it's even more boring and tedious than I remember it as a kid. Whereas the original Riddle Of The Sphinx had an amazing soundtrack and a lot of detail poured into the individual rooms in the Great Pyramid, it seems like minimal effort was invested into the soundtrack of Omega Stone, and the locations are generally very drab and plain. Replayed this game recently and it's even more boring and tedious than I remember it as a kid. Whereas the original Riddle Of The Sphinx had an amazing soundtrack and a lot of detail poured into the individual rooms in the Great Pyramid, it seems like minimal effort was invested into the soundtrack of Omega Stone, and the locations are generally very drab and plain. The Easter Island level is stupidly easy, but Chichen Itza is a nightmare, wandering through a maze of dark caves looking for little weights and skulls. The Stonehenge level is the only one that has anything going for it, but the ending puzzle (climbing up a tower over and over again) is awful. Show less

If these games were able to be returned this one would go back. It may be a great game, but I played for less than ten minutes, and should have quit at two. First, I have NO clue what to do or why, finally figure out I need to have the sound on. Which I prefer not to do. And then I'm underground and because of the way its done, you really feel like you're underground, which is probably a huge plus ...Show more
If these games were able to be returned this one would go back. It may be a great game, but I played for less than ten minutes, and should have quit at two. And then I'm underground and because of the way its done, you really feel like you're underground, which is probably a huge plus for most folks, but NOT is you are clostrphobic. And worst is the way you follow the curser made me very very seasick. I will not be able to play this even IF I could figure out what it is one is supposed to be doing. I would like to have know this before I bought it. Some folks can't play this type of game. Like me. THIS get a minus 10 from me.
Now I think I'll go lay down and try to get the room to stop. Show less
