I've owned this game since it came out (2008). I've replayed it at least a dozen times since then (maybe more). It's really fun, especially if you remember the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc. All characters are dressed in period clothing. Some of them resemble period celebrities. I've owned this game since it came out (2008). I've replayed it at least a dozen times since then (maybe more). It's really fun, especially if you remember the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc. All characters are dressed in period clothing. Some of them resemble period celebrities. The music in the background changes with each decade, and the house styles reflect the era, as well. You get a "newspaper" at the beginning of each decade to tell you fun facts (like the price of a car, or major news stories). The more stars you get in a decade, the better the hero's life is. It's kind of fun to play to purposely get fewer stars to see the different stories. Kind of a unique goal for a TM game. Yes, there's a lot of clicking, but it escalates so slowly that you don' t really notice until you're well and truly hooked on the game. I'm not usually a click-fest fan, but this one grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. Show less

I have owned this game a few years now and I always go back to it. I have beat it tons of times. I like playing it when I get sick because it is the right level of difficulty to take attention off my sickness but not so much I give up. I also love that they include fun facts from each decade.

I recommend this game!

I love this game, and keep coming back to play it again and again. Wish they would make a sequel. If you like time management games, get this one!!!

Why can't we have more games like this instead of a billion boring games like Build-a-lot. I've had this game since 2011 and go back and play it all the time. I absolutely LOVE this game and really wish there were more like it. Lately it seems like BigFish keeps pumping out the same types of games, but relabeling and changing up the aesthetics a little. I have just finished playing this game and it has left me

You send the build group then the garage crew, then the painting team, and then a decorating team out to get the house as ordered. I've played this game dozens of times and it is definitely my favorite game from BFG.

You start out with blank lots and customers 'call in' to say what house they want. You send the build group then the garage crew, then the painting team, and then a decorating team out to get the house as ordered. When you match 3 on anything- house style, garage style, color, or backyard decoration, you get a bonus for a short time where crews build instantly. It's very fun to try to get those, but you never know what customers will be looking for. House color is easiest for me.
Upgrades occur throughout the decades as new house styles come out and lawn decorations get better.
This is a fantastic game that I hope gets a sequel because it is so genius and so fun!! Show less
