The longer I played the more I liked this game…

Difficult enough to be challenging.
Challenging enough to provide hours of game play.
Game play worthy enough to be a CE.

Honestly -- I can't find any fault with this game. I like the artwork. I like the expressions on the characters you meet. I like that he H0's are scattered all over -- more like finding loads of inventory items. I like how you must figure out how to use / combine every single one. I like the occasional puzzle (none too hard but different from the usual). I like the progression through the different areas you must traverse. I even like the quirky, somewhat non-story. I like that there is a helpful diary and a task list if you want to use it.

It takes a while to get into this game, but you will before the demo is over. Voice overs would have been a nice addition, but this one still gets 5 thumbs-up from me.

I had fun the whole way through. Story and game feel most rewarding upon completion. This was the most innovative, challenging, delightful, intriguing, engaging game I had played in quite a while. It was beautiful from start to finish and the ending warmed my heart. Show less

This is a game that you will either hate or love. I happen to love it. For each chapter you get a pictorial list of what you have to find and use. At the end of each chapter you will have used all your current inventory so that you start fresh for each chapter. I like that. The locations and challenges are unique and very creative. The most important is to be patient with this game.When you reach Chapter II - you won`t stop playing anymore. This is REAL TREASURE on BFG portal and probably the one of the best game you can find here.

This is a great game...which surprised me. It seemed to be dated, but once I started....I couldn't let it go. It took me days (off & on), which usually results in me wandering to another game, but I didn't with this one. I did have to check out the walkthrough a couple times....so that shows it isn't as easy as you'd think. Give it a try....you'll be surprised.....not too hard, but not too easy ...Show more

Yeh! DragonsEyeStudio! This game is Hot! Hot! Hot! Love the challenge, game play and the graphics are awesome. The characters are cute too. Seems different from your regular HOG. You move from scene to scene and interact with the objects (all helpful) in order to travel from one place to another. It's a whopping "5 Stars" for me, cause I'm lov'in it!

I recommend this game!

Twenty minutes in I bought it... didn't want my trial time to run out and interupt me. Graphics were very nice... It was a nice change to look for items in different places instead of one place...

Not a HOG per se, this awesome and endearing game has it all from hidden objects to puzzles with the entire game relying on logic and following clues.

BFG offers variety to us members and Tearstone is well worth the CE price in length and quality gameplay experience. Trashing this little masterpiece just because it's not specifically a hidden-object game is undeserved as BFG has more HOG's than any other genre game offered.

Tearstone demo provides a true sample of the game--unique. You just cannot read into this game and dissect it as any other--there's no voice overs and, thankfully, no morphing objects. Gamers must allow the game to be played as the Developers wrote it and simply go with the flow. Allow yourself to be swept away with their magic, artwork, puzzles, games and observe the small clues purposely left in your path--to complete your journey.

The only "warning" I would suggest is that logic, common sense and an aura of calm and relaxation goes along with the game. You will be charmed and know that you have been touched by "Tearstone" upon completion.

What a fun time I'm having learning the challenges of this game. It is so similar in structure to the Mortimer Beckett games, finding the items and placing them in the correct place to move on to the next ...Show more

What a fun time I'm having learning the challenges of this game. It is so similar in structure to the Mortimer Beckett games, finding the items and placing them in the correct place to move on to the next chapter. I loved how two inventory items were combined to make a brand new item. You Mix them in the Mixer tool. The graphics are beautiful, the characters funny and my poor brain loved trying to figure out what to do next. My memory isn't that great so it was tested for sure but that was the joy of the game. Just my cup of tea. The older games suit my play since I am not a fan of the demons and ugly scenery games. Happy, colorful, good graphics, hidden objects and fun puzzles make my day. Thanks to all the reviewers that help me in my game choices all year. Show less

A journal keeps track of objectives, and hints are available, but most of the time you must rely on visual and written clues, and a cast of unusual characters. At one point I was completely at a loss and used a walkthrough only to feel silly when an obvious solution was revealed. I enjoyed this game and hope you do too! Show less
