I must say this is the first game in some time that I really enjoyed and couldn't stop playing! The storyline held my interest. The graphics good, and there wasn't a lot of dialogue to read. There was a good variety of puzzles. A map is provided that shows your current location and areas where there are active tasks to be completed, which to me is a plus. I played the trial and decided this was a "must buy". The storyline held my interest throughout the game. The graphics were crisp with a good bit of color, the voice overs were decent and there wasn't too much dialogue. 2 magicians raised by a master magician go head to head for the title of best magician. one dies in a fire. fire is his specialty. he is known for being able to control it. so that leaves the other to get that distinction. the owner of the theatre where the two were suppose to come head to head for the title wants to know what happened set the fire to her theatre and you are asked to help her. the HO scenes are clear and the mini games are ok. there is a custom level and an interactive map but it doesn't always take you exactly to where you need to go.. once there you need hints to figure it out. once you activate the hints they will take you to wherever you need to be. they keep going until they get there. there is a journal and you will need that for some things. I always look at the reviews for a game before buying it and when I saw that only 17 people had taken the time to review it I thought it must not be a very good game. I went ahead and bought it on a sale day, thought I would take a chance on it since I had one other Small Town Terrors game and liked it really well. Just finished this game and I loved it. I always look at the reviews for a game before buying it and when I saw that only 17 people had taken the time to review it I thought it must not be a very good game. I went ahead and bought it on a sale day, thought I would take a chance on it since I had one other Small Town Terrors game and liked it really well. I was so surprised at what a great game it is! Not a short game either as it took me a few days to complete. Loved the story line and characters and there was so much to do ... the story just moved along smoothly. I don't write reviews often but I felt someone had to speak up and recommend this one. Try the trial version ... I bet you'll like it as well as I did. :) Show less

What an attractive, engaging story! Items are clear and beautifully colored. Puzzles are not too hard nor too easy. I loved the choice of hidden object or card game throughout the entire game. One very challenging puzzle near the end tested my memory. I don't play these games over again, but this one may break the rule. Big Fish doesn't disappoint.

I recommend this game!

I found this game to be all good. IMO the graphics were perfect for the theme, the storyline was riveting, and I loved the puzzles. HOS included interactive parts, and there were some 'grouping' scenes (put the apple with the other apples' etc that I really enjoyed.

Did I mention the portion? I'm always in for brewing a good potion.

If you like magic and a riveting fantasy / mystery, you can't do better than this game. I'm going to go back and play the series - I loved it that much. Show less

Super enjoyed this game because it has quite a bit of content, is fairly long - especially for a SE - and has a decent ending. There's a lot of "landscape" to the game with a minimal amount of back and forth and I didn't feel like the developers rushed me to the end by sending me from one place to another, like a majority of today's games do. Decent game for your collection.

Pleasantly surprised by this game. I liked the artwork, the puzzles are challenging, but not too hard or annoying, exploring the town going back and forth from one place to the next is fun, not tedious like some other games. A short and sweet game
