If you haven't played these kinds of games before, don't be fooled by how easy the first part of the games are. If you only play the demo, you may think the game is too easy. But the longer you play, the harder the grids become.

If you haven't played these kinds of games before, don't be fooled by how easy the first part of the games are. If you only play the demo, you may think the game is too easy. But the longer you play, the harder the grids become.

Griddlers are another name for fill-and-cross. You must fill the board with spaces or turned tiles. The top and left side of each grid shows how many tiles must be turned in that particular column/row. There must be at least one space between the end of a tile/series of tiles and the next turned tile.

As you play, you win coins that can be used later in the game to purchase help as the grids get harder. That is a good thing about the early grids being easy; you must build up your store of coins for use later.

Each grid starts with 2 hints. Additional hints can be earned during play or purchased from the store. Two mistakes are also allowed before you are required to replay the grid. However, each mistake takes away a star, so if you are "shooting" for 3 stars for each grid, you cannot make any mistake.

I didn't play with any sound, so cannot comment on that.

This is another great griddler with vibrant colors and atmosphere for Halloween. A definite "buy" for me. Show less

This is a good grid type game. I like the colors, cheerful spooky music, etc. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because I just LOVE the Gizmos that came out last year. Still, if you like this genre... go for it.

Typical riddler/griddler/mosaic game. I disliked that you couldn't tell what picture you were building even after you built the entire thing. Huh? Also, not meant for beginners as it was a higher difficulty immediately at the onset of the game play.

Sorry, not for me.

I guess I've just been spoiled by my favorite mosaic series, Fantasy Mosaics, which offers creative designs in three different vibrant colors. This game has no story, this game has only color (purple) and this game doesn't even create an actual picture, if it does create a picture, I don't see it. There's nothing about this game that makes you want to continue playing, it doesn't even have a feature to automatically cross of squares. There are 6 Locations and each location has 20 mosaic puzzles within. There is a Training or Tutorial section for Beginners (7 tutorial puzzles) and for Experts with a single tutorial puzzle if you're a little rusty at Griddler's/

The object of these Griddler games are fairly easy, and you don't have to be a math wiz to figure them out. You simply figure out which cells are filled in and which cells are crossed out according to the number sets on each column and row, using logic and deduction. Each set of numbers must have at least one crossed off cell between them, it simplifies the puzzle if you figure out which cells cannot possibly have a filled square, for example, if a single cell is filled on a row, and the column number is 3, you can cross off all cells in the column with the exception of two cells above and below.

You will earn up to 3 stars for each puzzle, one star is deducted for each mistake, you need at least one star to unlock the next puzzle. Each cell contains coins, some contain bonus coins which can be used in the Shop to unlock levels or purchase helpful tools such as, 2 starting Hints, the right to make 3 Mistakes, or refill the Hints on that level. Seriously, you should give any of the Fantasy Mosaic games a try, those games are super fun (I believe the 3 color choices begin with the 4th installment) Show less

This was a good game. Grids could be solved logically.

I have been spoiled by the many colors of some of the other Series

My only complaint is that the grids are way too small. You have this whole big screen and the grid is only in a small section of the middle. This makes it difficult to see. My tired old eyes don't need the strain. This also makes it harder to view relative to having only ...Show more

I played this today because I was bored. These types of griddlers as they call them are annoying and boring. I dislike that they cross off numbers when I have not finished with a column or row letting me know which number in the middle has been found. Makes it to easy. Shopping for hints extra with the coin is not necessary. Can't really tell what the picture is suppose to be and with these that is the purpose. To make a picture. These use to be called Pictograms. Would be nice to know what I was suppose to have made. Wouldn't give you a dime for this game. If you want good pictograms or griddlers or whatever you call them.
The best ones out there are the Gizmo games. They give you a real challenge. All the Griddler name games are just boring. Show less
