FINALLY! A colorful mosaics puzzler that does not involve a stupid story, poor animation, bad translation and penguins. I'm so happy.

I have never heard of this game developer, but kudos to them for thinking outside the box.

This is a colorful, full-of-Christmas-spirit game with some really neat extras. I played the one hour demo and it is a definite "buy" for me.

This is a colorful, full-of-Christmas-spirit game with some really neat extras. I played the one hour demo and it is a definite "buy" for me.

As is normal, the grids start out easy then get progressively harder. The grids are done in 3 colors, the colors varying from grid to grid. Once all the tiles have been turned in any given row/column, the rest of the tiles are x-ed out automatically. Four mistakes are allowed before you have to replay the grid. Each grid must be completed successfully in order for the next grid to be unlocked.

One of the neat extras is the ability to choose the type of tiles you want to play with. I chose the legos style but these made it a little hard to count tiles. I think you can change the tile style at any time.

There is also the option to play mahjong instead of or in addition to the mosaic. Achievements are available to obtain. Coins are collected that can be used to purchase ornaments to decorate the tree that the kitty trashed. I think the coins can be used to purchase other things, too, but I didn't get that far.

Coins aren't the only thing that is earned during gameplay. Powerups are also won that can be used like hints. During the hour I played, I won several but never needed to use any of them. I'm sure as the grids get harder, they will come in handy.

This is a long game with lots of grids to play. It appears that additional free-to-play grids are available and are unlocked as the game progresses.

The music didn't sound all that Christmassy and, as usual, was repetitive, so I turned it off.

I even learned a new word: "agarics". It was in the title of one of the grids, "Fly Agarics". It means a type of fungus similar to mushrooms. Interesting.

Great game and it is on sale today. What more could you ask for? Show less

All the best from previous mosaic games all fitted nicely into this version. So be it's a christmas version, and the levels are the ornaments on the christmas-tree,but the pictures are all-year round (mainly).

I like the pictures, I like the different hints you can use (and upgrade if you like) pluss obviously the hunt to gain 3 stars on all levels.

I recommend this game!

as others have commented not quite up to fantasy mosaics but very close.... enjoyable and it takes longer than an hour to complete which is good

I like the expert v normal ability and the challenge of reaching targets, Gizmo needs to get some colour now to compete... lol

The better known of them is a jazz guitarist and the music by the tree is based in jazz, but it is Christmasy by the addition of instruments that chime. Great game with many wonderful options to it. I wished that I had seen this before, but I'm glad that I found it now. Well it has all been said before, so I will say thanks and do give it a try if you love mosaic game. It's the best...

I found it much more enjoyable than Fantasy Mosaics which always seem to be mocking the players with the ridiculous colors, penguins, and silly, nonsensical gardens. Honestly, we're not idiots.

The hues and colors in this game are true to Christmas (green, gold, red, blue and purple) even if the theme itself is not Christmasy. Nothing is off or jarring. I was having trouble seeing the default tiles--an issue with a lot of griddlers--so it was great to discover the ability to change tiles. I love the treat of playing mahjong every 9th game. (These are done with brightly colored Christmas tree balls, challenging without being overly so for those who aren't into mahjong.)

It's fun decorating the tree, getting bonuses, and watching the kitten move about the room or track the cursor with its eyes. The family makes me smile every time they stretch to the top of the tree.

It will be a great game to haul out every December and still feel fresh. Lovely! I will definitely check out the other Rainbow Mosaic games. Show less
