This is a very addicting strategy based RPG that follows a young knight on a quest to save the Princess that has been taken to the Dragon's underground lair. This is a very addicting strategy based RPG that follows a young knight on a quest to save the Princess that has been taken to the Dragon's underground lair. The goals are fairly simple, get the knight to the next passage door before it closes, by clicking on the square that you want the knight to move to. As you progress, you'll find that getting to the passage door becomes more complicated because there are several Skeleton Guards blocking the way, and each skeleton you go through, takes away one of your three available hearts. If you run out of hearts, you die!

Life Potions are available to pick up in the maze which gives you an extra heart when applied. There are Gold Coins and Keys strategically placed and guarded by the skeletons, which means that you have to strategically move the knight to gather these items in order to make it through each level. There are several locked doors in front of the exit or passage door that require you to collect keys to open them, each door needs a new key. Because the keys are guarded by skeletons, and each skeleton takes away one heart, you will also need to click on Life Potions, because you will need to face more than 3 skeletons in each level. Keep in mind, that the passage door will close if you take too long to plot your course. Some keys have tags with a coin on them which requires you to collect coins first, and of course, they too are guarded by skeletons.

At the levels end, you will earn up to 3 stars, making unnecessary moves will deduct from the available stars. As you beat the levels, the stars you earn will increase your experience level, as your experience levels increase, you will earn Rubies, and the rubies can be used to purchase items in the shop. Traders become available as you progress, and they are willing to buy life potions with gold coins which can help you if you need gold to buy a key.

This is really a simple game, but I had to figure all this information out for myself by trial and error because the tutorial is vague and practically non-existent. I did not see an option to play this game in a nonchalant, relaxed mode where you don't have to figure out the best options quickly before the door closes. You can replay the levels as often as you want to try to achieve a three star rating, which is often necessary because there are several levels that are tricky, often blocking you from further progression if you don't have enough keys or lives to finish. If you want to play a game that makes you plan the correct strategy, and you don't mind racing against the clock, look no further because this game quickly becomes addicting, enjoy! Show less

Although I usually don't play this type of game, the demo hour was over before I knew. Each level you have to find out how to finish, sometimes by trial and error. The game somehow remembered me of Paganitsu, although the graphics of this one are more 21st century. I can only advice try the demo, you know right away whether you love it or not,

I recommend this game!

I just decided to try this for something new and different for me. Usually these games do not work for me. What a good decision! This was great fun. The levels start out easy but soon become more difficult but so far I have been able to figure them out. You have to keep looking at each level with fresh eyes and not just doing what worked on the last level. I blew through the demo and purchased the game with the 2 for 1 deal. I never got the story line but it did not matter. Each level is its own challenge. Give it a try. Show less

On this rainy afternoon and some time to spare I turned to my favorite game provider (BFG.. of course) in search of something different than HOGs or "adventures".
And I found this.
It looks like a RPG, but it's a series of puzzles, in a kind of labyrinthine dungeon. Your little knight, who has only 3 lives, needs to outfox and kill skeletons (who want to kill him, naturally), get keys, coins, etc.. and above all healing potions (without which he is toast) and quickly reach the exit via the shortest path... to the next level.
And the next levels are similar to the previous levels, but with different layouts, more coins, more keys, various artifacts and obstacles.
As for what the little knight needs to do, well, that doesn't change much.
Cute as this game may be, however difficult subsequent levels become, no matter how much you love puzzles and disregarding that each level requires some thinking (before the timer starts) and a sound strategy, you cannot but rapidly start to feel boredom sinking in, all the more so that you often have to replay a level once or more because the wrong tactic has cost you all your lives or the exit has abruptly closed as you reached it,
I love puzzles, but I also love diversity. After one hour playing the demo, and in spite of the fair challenge it offers, I totally lost interest.
But that doesn't mean you will not like the game. If you don't mind repetitive actions, and have a weakness for puzzles, you certainly will.
Just try the demo to make sure.

I actually found this game to be predictable and very repetitive. I didn't see the challenge in it at all. While I enjoyed the graphics and the old school feel to it I did not enjoy the gameplay as much as I thought I would.

I don't recommend this game.
