The 500 photos are of places, things, and people that are relative to Europe and international travel, and are generally gorgeous. There are several options, including the ability to adjust the number of puzzle pieces, that make the game infinitely playable for all skill levels. I highly recommend this game, as well as most of the other games in this series.

The biggest "puzzle" is figuring out why this series is called 1001 Jigsaw World Tour! First there was America, followed by Asia, and now Europe. There aren't 1001 Continents, and there are only 500 puzzles in each edition, even if you total all three up, it doesn't have a sum of 1001, so please solve the puzzle and give me the answer!

My favorite puzzle series is 1001 (maybe there are 1001 earth's or 1001 chronicles in that one) Earth Chronicles because I prefer the earthy nature type picures. This puzzle has a large variety of European themed puzzles, with very colorful buildings, scenery, and Europeans themselves. You can even choose a resolution that will make the pictures pop on your computer screen. There are 5 different boxes available, and each box contains 100 puzzles.
You can earn Trophies for reaching goals such as playing a certain amount of hours, joining up to a million pieces, scoring a certain amount of points, solving a puzzle without making a mistake, solving various sized puzzles, or solving a puzzle without using hints, sorting, or pocket features. There are also Top Scores and personal Best score tallies.
Any of the puzzles can be modified with the number of pieces, the cut shape of the pieces and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. There are 4 different backgrounds to choose from, pink, green, blue and grey, a box to store extra pieces until needed, a Sort option a Border only option, a Hint option and an available Magnifying glass to enlarge pieces. You can also ghost the image of the puzzle to the background or hang a picture in three different sizes.
The pictures are beautiful, but they aren't really my personal cup of tea. Lately I have been hooked on an older puzzle game called Jigsaw Mania which offers puzzles in just about every shape imaginable. My favorite puzzle shapes are small squares that snap together, which is so much more fun. You can also download your own personal photos, use them as wallpapers or even e-mail a puzzle to share with others. Wouldn't it be nice if these devs offered features like that, or anything different than these cookie cutter versions? Enjoy my fellow puzzle geeks! Show less
I recommend this game!

It was 3:30am when I glimpsed this out of the corner of a very tired eye! And it woke me up like a cold shower. I got so excited...2 jigsaw puzzles just days apart!
Presently I am loving the Asian set that just came to us. It is alive with bright beautiful colors and gorgeous pictures, people in their native costumes.

So I thought this European World Tour would contain a tour of beautiful countryside scenery and animals, etc. I was disappointed to find nothing but buildings, statues, food and people. I do not like puzzles of people who are in masks and costumes in staged poses. Ditto for plates of food.
The buildings all seemed to be the same type of structures, very drab colors. The food was perfectly arranged for display. No trees or fields of flowers, no cute animals, no birds. Nada! So disappointing. So I will just end it here.
This is the first 1001 World Tour Puzzles I will not be purchasing. I know my tastes are different from that of others. I'm sure it will be popular with other puzzle lovers. All the same great features are there, the music was fine and it was 500 jigsaws.
It's a bargain compared to what that many would cost in a store. It just doesn't have what it takes to make me want it in my collection. I am anxious to see if another country will be offered to us soon.
God Bless....
I own the Asian World Tour set and have already spent many relaxing hours with it. Every puzzle, for my taste, is so lovely and the colors are bright and gprgeous. Show less

Looks like it was put together circa 1950. Be prepared for the colours to change. The pictures are pretty that's about all that's good about this game. Shadows and stars etc are most distracting and are prone to give headaches.
I don't recommend this game.
