I have had this game for a while now, and happened to look at the reviews for it today and was surprised that no one had recommended it. It is always the game, other than Bookworm (which I also love), that I play when I want to work with words for awhile. I originally bought it thinking it may be a good game to help my granddaughter with spelling, but soon realized that although it has cartoon characters, which seem to be targeted at kids, the word play is really too difficult for children, as although you can do a lot of 3 letter words in the game, there has to be a place where your words connect to the other words so that ultimately all the tiles can turn to gold to win the level. She does not play the game but I have a lot of fun with it. I have played it numerous times now and really like that it is non-stressful, yet has the challenge of making the words connect properly. I have a personal goal of trying to use all the given letters in my turn, although sometimes that is impossible. If you like making words from letters you are given I would recommend that you try this game. As was written by another reviewer, I don't understand what the points even mean, but I actually don't care. I don't even look at the scores in games. I play for the enjoyment of doing the activity, not to beat some goal. I usually have the music way low or off, so can't really comment too much on the sound quality. In this game it was on low and seemed fine at that level. I just wanted to say that I find the game really fun and love to play it to relax and wind down and enjoy the challenge of making words meet each other to win the level. Show less

The Title says it all, if I could have spelled the words backwards, this game would be awesome and so much more fun. NagiQ 2 is available in English or Spanish, which would make this an excellent Spanish learning game in my opinion, because you could have fun forming words in Spanish, while learning how to spell the words correctly.

This is a simple game at first, so you'll have to be patient for a few levels, but I can assure you, the levels get increasingly more difficult as you progress. The music reminds me of a jack-in-the-box, xylophone music that has a faster tempo the faster you wind it, and the graphics look like they would appeal to youngsters, but they would not be able to spell words, so I'm a bit confused as to what the targeted age is here?

In a nutshell, there are a few letters on the grid style board to start with, the goal is to form words using the random letters on the bottom, that will eventually connect the gold letters to the letters that are blue, usually on the opposite side of the board. Words can only be formed left to right or top to bottom, not backwards, which would have been awesome.

As you are trying to form words, a list of acceptable words will appear, but it doesn't tell you the value of each letter or word, which made the game less fun for me personally. Once you have spelled the word you want, by first clicking on the letter at the bottom, and then on the tile you want that particular letter placed, you need to click the play button on the bottom right. This will permanently place the word on the board and give you a whole new set of letters.

If the board seems too difficult, you can reset the board, or you can choose the Letters icon to receive a new set of letters. Some of the tiles have gift boxes on them, and if you form a word that includes that tile, you will receive either coins or Lorin's Tokens to help you form words. When the Iron Hand Pirate appears, he throws more letters on the board to complicate things. Forming words will eventually defeat him.

I enjoyed playing the rare Word game offered, however, not enough to want to purchase it. I feel like this game would have been more creative and more challenging if I could have written words that go from right to left, or bottom to top, and I would like to know how much specific words were worth, so being more creative with my choices would net me more coins.

If you like games similar to scrabble, you will probably love this game. For me, it was just an okay game that could have been a really good game with the additional features I talked about. Show less

This looks like a "scrabble"-like game but you can place tiles anywhere, lining up tiles that don't even spell words. Sure, these don't count toward your goal but, still, at least allow only actual words like a crossword puzzle. Thomas and the Magical Words was a much better game in this format.

I don't recommend this game.
