Controlling The Weather Has It's Advantages

This edition of Weather Lord has exceptional graphics, maybe it's just because of the different scenery that take's place in their Royal garden. There's a ton of things to do in each and every level, and this Time Management series is different than most because you need the elements of weather to achieve your goals. You will need the Sun to dry up puddles, the Wind to chase away the clouds, and Rain is used to grow crops for food. These additional tasks can make it a little more difficult to finish the levels within the Expert time frame, however, but I love this feature.

Each level has Bonus Icons available that temporarily give you an extra worker or extra resources, can freeze time or make the existing workers faster. The icons must recharge before being used again, and you will need to use all available bonuses to achieve expert status and receive a Gold Medal. There is a star meter located at the top which shows Gold, Silver or Bronze time status. You can play the game in a Relaxed untimed mode or Normal, and in the Collector's Edition, there are 28 Awards to earn and some levels have a hidden Jigsaw Puzzle piece, which allows you to assemble a puzzle when all pieces have been found.

This is an excellent Time Management game series, with a good storyline and decent graphics. Although this game has the typical TM tasks, collecting resources, gathering food, repairing bridges and buildings, it also has unique features using the elements of weather.

The Collector's Edition offers replayable Movies, 8 Music Soundtracks, Collectible Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to assemble, 6 Wallpapers, 28 Awards to achieve, a Strategy Guide and Bonus Levels, however, in my opinion, these "extras" aren't worthy of the "extra" price tag, so in my opinion, this Standard Version is the better choice, enjoy! I have played this game and it is wonderful! Excellent graphics! Excellent storyline! A great deal sunnier and lighter than the previous ones. If you liked the first games, I think you might like this even more. Give it a try and see at least.

If you don't know the series, this is a good place to start! Enjoy! I am.

I love TM games and this one delivers a good time. Very bright and cheerful and a cute story. The graphics are great and the design allows you to achieve 3 stars with planning and effort. I don't like games that are so hard that the only way to pass levels is in the relaxed mode. This one has a great balance so that 3 stars are possible and I feel a sense of accomplishment. Overall this game is great but there are only 2 modes - Timed/Relaxed. In Timed I always beat the level with a big chunk of time left. It could be a little more challenging.
The visuals and game play are wonderful as always (I've purchased most if not all from the series). It has a lot of levels but I wish there were more and a little more variety in the venues. Still I'd recommend it.

I have 3 others in this series.
They have ghosts to fight, towers to build, lots of different things to keep you busy.
This one has lounge chairs to build, dresses to make, fairy crystals to collect, and gardens to build.
There's no action, and by the 3rd level you've done everything you will ever do on any other level.
I think the devs are the ones who took the vacation.

I don't recommend this game.

This has to be the worst of the series. I've bought all the other Weather Lord games and played in timed mode. It was challenging to make gold in the other WL games but I managed. This one is impossible. I should have played in relaxed mode so I could play the bonus rounds. There are just too many things to do. Too many items to make in order to accomplish a task. The music is really annoying. Kind of music box quality. WL: Hidden Realms is still my favorite of the series. I recommend that to anyone who hasn't tried the WL series. Trying before buying is usually good but this didn't get impossible until level 12. I might go back to it someday and just play relaxed mode. I'm not recommending this game in timed mode. In relaxed mode, it would be OK muted. Show less
