This is not really a spoiler alert but I think would make reviews better if known. Ok, at first I was discouraged when trying this game. I'm glad I hung in there. I did get up to level nine with difficulty. Then I became frustrated because it kept telling me to buy fishing lure. I didn't have any money left. This is not really a spoiler alert but I think would make reviews better if known. Ok, at first I was discouraged when trying this game. I'm glad I hung in there. I did get up to level nine with difficulty. Then I became frustrated because it kept telling me to buy fishing lure. I didn't have any money left. The trick is you have to re play low level again and again to get the cash. Keep upgrading things in shop and buy better gear to get you through levels easier. I went back to level one with only boat and rod upgrade and I was catching fish like crazy. And every time I passed it added coins to my purse. Yippie,

So I am building up money and going to buy the fishing lure. hopefully that will make catching fish on level nine easier because they avoid the rod in that level. Also the mines get on your nerves so I just exploded them right away in the level so I can get clear fishing space.

I haven't bought the knife yet but I hope it cuts the line so you won't waste time picking up fish or junk you don't need to finish level. Fish that are not a part of the goals only add star rating but you still fail level if you don't get the required type. I don't understand that feature but maybe it will add value in later levels?? I think it should add more coins if anything. I really didn't pay attention to whether it does or not. In any case the knife does add more money to your finished level so you can get upgrades faster.

The fishing rod upgrade does make for a faster cast so be patient. Game does get better with upgrades. Also boat gets faster so you can chase fish down.

Only one problem I didn't like fishing rod with no ability to reel line in after cast. You have to wait for full cast and return therefore this makes timing very essential to gameplay. You can use this feature to your advantage and just chase the fish while line is retracting. All you need to do is get rod to tap on fish. You don't have to catch them by the mouth.

As far as all the junk in the water this is meant to be an obstacle to time. They do have a power up to clean up the water for coins, I am looking forward to the level where treasure is added among the junk.

Too bad there is no instructions which would of avoided all the frustration. Also can't find the timer on playing board that your goals must be completed before it stops game and says you haven't finished goals and opts for replay. If you are having difficulty you probably need better equipment.
I think a lot of the early reviews are based on playing without any upgrades. . You definitely need to keep playing lower levels to build up your purse. So stay at level one or another level you can pass easier before moving on and rake in the money. Fishing will get fun. Show less

Game was pleasant to me. Cheerful and colourful. Beautiful graphics. Especially it is pleasant to collect pearls in an aquarium. Super.

- Careful not to accidentally click four bottom circles while

- No "start new profile." But I completely uninstalled.
Reinstalled after about 24 hours for a clean new game.

- What helped:

* first buy faster rod

* next buy knife (3 available)
each knife increases money earned each level
which helps greatly. The knives seem to serve no other
purpose.

* Faster rods next, then hooks (3 useful ones available)

* Found I could enjoy game with blue motorboat 14 km/hr
so did not have to spend unnecessary money on boats.

- There are awesome treasure chests all over where one
can get lots of money for upgrades, to enjoy game better.

Strongly suggest having at least 1000 coins when you go
in to each treasure chest, for buying 1) the triple hook 2)
lures along the way for more time to get more coins!!!

- Aquarium seems just for fun - does not seem to add
anything to main game

Thoroughly enjoying this game over and over and wish everyone lots of enjoyment with it too!

With bonus treasures at key points and somewhere between 22-23 upgrades (upgrades fall within 4 specific areas; boats, lures, fishing rods and knives) you get a lot more than just a simple fishing game with BFG's "FISHING".

Quality with regards to graphics are simple yet perfectly fine for the game; same can be said for the soundtrack.

Though not their best fishing game, still would recommend the splurge and purchase, especially since BFG does not release to many of these types of games.

So, take the leap and go and get your feet wet!!!!! Show less

I absolutely love this game. It is slow until you have enough money to buy upgrades. I finally finished the game, and comes the part I do not understand: Why can´t I not start the game with a new profile? You have gained experience, when you played the first time and would like to play it again with this experience. But it is not possible. It is a waist of money, if you only can play it once.

I recommend this game!

I'm pretty sure this game would be adored by young kids, probably in the 5-8 year old category, but for me, it was slow and boring. You are given goals at the start of each level, to catch a specific number of a certain type or types of fish. A picture is shown of the goal fish, which is nice because the kids can see which fish to catch without a reading assistant. There are several types of fish and lots of debris that can be accidentally caught, if you catch a mine, it will explode and kill the surrounding fish! You can earn up to 3 stars per level, and there doesn't seem to be a time limit. The fish you catch are displayed in the "Collection" section and each level has bonuses that can be bought with the coins you earn, such as a 3 prong hook, clear debris, freeze fish for 30 seconds or add a lure. You can upgrade your rod to make it react quicker, get a faster boat or upgrade the hook. My 6 year old granddaughter loves playing Tasty Blue, but that is a fast paced game. This game may not keep their attention for very long, but who knows? Show less

I like games that I don't really have to think about once in a while, but this game would be okay if I did not have to turn my computer off to just exit the game. Make it exitable and able to turn sound down and maybe I would recommend it, now no.

I love fishing games and am eager to try each one. I wanted to love this game but it is too slow. Every movement is painfully delayed it would be nice to catch the fish in the boat while they are pulled up. There is really no skill required. There was once a farming game with mini fishing game if that could ever be made into a full game it would most certainly be the best fishing game ever.

I like fishing games and thought this might be something like like Gold Miner. But this game is slow and boring. It was an absolute waste of a download. I would not even recommend this for kids. The only way to describe this game as I have already mentioned is that it is SLOW AND BORING!
