Queen's Garden has finally released a Christmas edition Match 3 game. I have no idea why, but I found myself more engrossed in planning out the perfect garden than I did playing the actual Match 3 game. The Swap-type Match 3 Game is good, but I have to wonder if I'd pass on this game if not for the Garden aspect? There are 120 Match 3 Levels and I believe 4 different Gardens available, and any Match 3 level can be replayed.

You can play in a Timed Mode, a Relaxed Mode with no timer, or a Piece of Cake Mode which disables the Weed Growth feature as well as the timer. You can decorate the Queen's Garden with the Coins and Jewels you earn playing the Match 3 levels As you progress, new Garden Plants and Decorations become available in 4 Categories: Flowers, Other Plants, Man Made Items and Ground Cover, and eventually several types of stone paths become available. You choose the plant or decoration you want to purchase from the 4 categories and then drag the item to the desired garden grid square. You can flip or rotate the item and it can be moved to different locations as well as remove unwanted items for a minimal fee.

This is a Quest-driven game which rewards you with coins or Jewels for completing the requests, such as buying 2 azaleas. If I didn't like the plant, I'd buy them anyway, claim the reward, and then have it removed because the reward was quite large (+200) but removing them was really cheap (-8) You can also switch between Summer and Winter views of the garden and remove all the inventory bars and icons to see how the garden looks when you click the Eye icon.

The Goals are shown on the Top Left of the Screen, and usually, require you to make matches on all Gold Cells. Large Matches will earn Bonuses on the board. A Horizontal Match 4 gives you a Horizontal Powered Token to destroy an entire Row. A Vertical Match 4 gives you a Vertical Powered Token to destroy an entire Column. A Match 5 gives you a Christmas Ornament Bomb to destroy adjacent toles. A Match 5 in a T or L formation gives you Santa's Sleigh which removes all tiles of whichever tile it's matched with.

There are the usual Obstructions to overcome such as making matches over Gold and Metal tiles to expose the cells under them, Wooden Boxes to break, Chains and Double Chains requiring matches of whichever tile is chained. Quartz Tiles that require 4 Matches next to them. Snowflakes that will explode and freeze adjacent tiles if matches are made next to them. Frozen Tiles which require matches of the frozen tile. Vines that entangle tiles until matched. Weeds that spread to block adjacent tiles if ignored. Rocks cannot be destroyed so you must make matches under them to drop them off of the board. Angry Kabuki Mask requires a specified number of matches before it bursts. Protected Dynamite Belts can only explode once all Gems are collected. The Root of the Stalk will grow when matched next to it, once it reaches the isolated tile, the item will drop. Making 5 matches next to the Sledge Hammer activates it to hit the Dynamite Trigger which causes the Dynamite Belt to explode.

There are also some unusual features such as Daisy Squares that will plant a seed and grow Daisies when matches are made next to them. Presents are collected by dropping them off of the board, and Earth Blocks contain Special Jewels that are collected when an adjacent match is made. There is also a Shuffle feature that allows you to shuffle the tiles on the board whenever you want, but it takes 3 minutes to recharge.

This game is a delight. There are five profiles available and six gardens to be made for each one. There are three modes of play, timed, relaxed, and super relaxed where you don't even get to see the weeds grow.

This game is a delight. There are five profiles available and six gardens to be made for each one. There are three modes of play, timed, relaxed, and super relaxed where you don't even get to see the weeds grow.

It is a standard M3 and very much in the style of previous games in the series, but they are generous in this (must be the season) and you are given tasks of buying certain plants which may cost you less than $100 and they reward you with twice as much for completing the task, and if you don't like the plant you can remove it anyway. There are as well manmade items which also include large Christmas decorations for the garden. There is even a button where you can see your game in summer mode if the snow makes you chilly.

The game board is very colourful, and the tiles extremely clear, even the bonuses which remove tiles or blow them up are themed (a santa sleigh, a bauble instead of a bomb etc)
There are the usual M3 tiles of obstruction, match 2x or concrete to make matches next to several times..and obviously there will be growing weeds (but I am not that far yet) The only thing I haven't encountered yet is any mini games, but you don't need them to make money, just complete the tasks.

This really will be a game you will have to play for a long time. A nice one to bring out each year and re-arrange your garden. Enjoy! Show less

I wasn't expecting to like this game but I'm glad that I'm wrong. The graphics in this game are pretty and clear. The game play isn't stressful and I love the gardening aspect of it. I don't know if it plays music because my volume is turned off. This is the type of Match 3 game that I will be playing over and over again all year long. I have all the Queen's Garden Games and they are quite a joy to play! Queen's Garden Sakura Season was my favorite. Now this one may take it's place. Sometimes, it's snowing, so the minute you place a tree or shrub, it gets snow on it. These Seven Sails Games are the most superb M3/TM games, EVER! You can play Timed, Relaxed or Piece of Cake. You can also choose your music: "Garden", "Main Menu" or "Level". The music ranges from perky, enjoyable background music for a game to "Silent Night". I've only played 3 levels because I wanted to post my review, so there may be more songs than I've heard. On the Main screen, you meet the King and Queen and in the background, Santa goes flying over. In the Main Menu, you can choose to have the tutorial running or not. The M3 part of the game has nice bright colors and Christmas themed objects of a very nice size. The game is very enjoyable and you can even zoom in to watch the little people as they walk around the garden you've created. You WILL be pleased!! Give it a try! :) Show less

Right now I am rearranging the garden in Sakura Season for the umpteenth time. Eventually it will look just right, at least until I finish my cup of coffee! (lol) The Match 3s are fun and very relaxing, lots of different features and lovely tiles. But I am always anxious to just move on to the garden. I enjoy the music in all the games, especially Sakura Season.

These "building" games are so addictive, at least for me. They have tremendous replay value, there's no end to how many times you can change them around. Just lots and lots of fun. I have never run into any glitches or stalling. The graphics are always full of color and beauty. But I would love to see a bigger selection of both ground and garden items.

Well, thank you Big Fish for bringing us these lovely games. They are really a refreshing change from all the evil, soul snatching characters that have taken over our fish pond.

At least take a trial run in one of the Queen's Gardens, you just may become a big fan of this delightful series.

I purchased this game today after playing the demo a couple of days ago and am glad I did. I'd waited for a good sale because I didn't think the M3 play was worth full price but I've changed my mind after playing on to level 32.

Yes, it's easy to clear most of the boards (at least early on in the game) without any stress but one becomes more aware of the importance of earning some bonus coins while doing so as you get further into it. Not only are you given a large garden to fill with a wide variety of plants and objects that you have to purchase with those coins and diamonds but after finishing level 30, another garden becomes available for you to plan and decorate. Further on in the game, yet another (and another...I don't know how many altogether, haven't checked that yet) also open up for you. I'm going to be one heck of a busy gardener as I progress!

To earn more coin so you can decorate like mad :-), you'll want to plan your moves so that you line up those larger matches that earn you either those bonus coins or valuable bonuses you can use to much advantage to earn even more coin or remove unwanted tokens/icons. That Santa sleigh that "appears" and flies over the board is actually a valuable bonus you created with a match 6. Match the resulting sleigh icon on the board with any token of your choice and all like tokens on a large part of the board disappear as Santa's sleigh flies over. It's one of a few new bonuses and obstacles that have been keeping me interested and entertained so far. Using your bonuses wisely is even more important if you're playing in timed mode.

I'm having good (and relaxing/stress-free) fun planning and building my garden(s) AND planning the most rewarding moves I can make to clear each M3 board. The Christmas-themed icons/tokens are pretty nice and the music's fine with me, too. Game play is smooth and nicely paced (you choose style to play). It's as easy or as challenging as you personally want to make it. So, there's not much more I can ask for in a game -- only that it continues to entertain after many more levels, of course! bad timing in release date, was waiting for this. game play is same as the others, but with all the great Christmas decorations.we alredy put up and will soon take down. . played demo a while back and it was great, bright colorful and very festive its even snowing and santa appears during game play. so extend the excitement a bit longer and enjoy Christmas with the queen

Wow this Queens Garden is I think the best one so far. It is so cute when you get the power up for Santa to come across the screen to take away goodies. You need try it ..I did and bought it after the trial.

I like the new additions in the match three sections. I didn't even bother with the trial - just bought it like I do with every Queen's Garden. I really enjoyed this game it totally allowed me to unwind after a busy day. I found it to be very pleasant indeed !!!

There is no need to rush...just lean back and simply enjoy the peace and quiet.

Nice thing about this match game is you have 6 different gardens to make beautiful and each garden has 120 levels...that'll keep you busy for a very long time !!!
