I like this game and it's fun to play BUT, I have the game "Argonauts Agency: Chair of Hephaestus" and I don't see ANY difference between this one and that one. There is NO difference. I only gave this five stars because, if you don't already have the other game, this will be a fun game for you.

Come on guys....you could have made SOMETHING different. I don't see ANY reason for me to buy this ...Show more

It's hard to enjoy an average, same ole, same ole Time Management game after purchasing and playing a phenomenal TM Adventure "Roman" themed game a few days ago. I'm not seeing any improvements over the last 4 Argonauts Agency games, but mostly, I don't see any differences as far as the level tasks, it's really no different than the other three in the series. The storylines are almost identical as well, and it's nowhere near CE worthy, it doesn't even have a Strategy Guide!

This game isn't visually appealing because everything is a golden hue. Constantly having to row my raft back and forth to gather resources on several different islands just isn't fun, it's boring, and it's exactly the same scenario as the last game, and the game before that, and the game before that, I'm confident it will be the same task in the fifth installment as well.

You can play in an Untimed, Normal or Hard difficulty mode and it allows you to switch back and forth easily before the start of each level with an icon located above the levels. I do like this feature because sometimes it's helpful to play the first go-round in an untimed mode to figure out what the requirements are, such as what materials are needed for each task (bridges, boulders, etc) and then play the level again in a normal or hard mode, especially when a TM game requires a lot of strategies. Once you have collected 5 Stars, you get to open a Treasure Chest located on the bottom left of the Map screen. That gives you 3 small chests to choose from and you can earn extra resources.

Bonuses have to be won by spinning a Casino Slot Machine with Crystals as the currency. You will earn 10 Crystals every 5 minutes you play (why not leave the game running overnight?) The bonuses are % based and become more worthy the higher the percentage:

⛏️Sandals~speeds up the characters.
⛏️Axe~cut down trees faster.
⛏️Shovel~fill holes faster.
⛏️Sword~monster battle time reduced.
⛏️Hammer~speeds up construction.
⛏️Pick~speeds stone breaking time.

There's really nothing different here than any other TM game. Build Farms for food, Sawmills for wood, Gold Mines, Quarries for stone and Markets for trading food for specific materials such as Stone or Gold. There are the usual Berry Bushes for a renewable food source, as well as the usual path blockers of conveniently cut & stacked wood, boulders, puddles, holes, bread loaves that somehow gets left strategically on a blocked path just when you need it the most, not to mention random caches of gold coins.

The only features offered in this Collector's Edition version, are 10 pages of Concept Art pictures and 5 Music Soundtracks, and a few extra levels in the Additional Campaign section, and once again, there's no Strategy Guide offered. There are 31 Achievements to earn, but the trophies are usually still included within the Standard Edition versions.

This is a very standard clear the road, gather resources game which requires a small amount of strategy to achieve the goals of upgrading and gathering set for each level.

One unique feature of this game though is that unlike some others, you do not always need to clear the immediate resource in front of you to get to others. ie: you can walk past food to get to wood in order to upgrade something quicker or get a building operating. Most times if you don't use this ..you find it quite hard beat the timer.

One feature is a chest that fills up as you complete levels giving you a choice of three to get your bonuses. These only last a few levels before the disappear and you must 'lucky dip' for your next one.

I was very glad to see that in this offering they have at least provided a strategy guide (that's what reminded me I could skip ahead sometimes lol) A CE TM without one is not good form. There is a relax mode for those who choose so.

Despite that I am on the fence whether I recommend this game or not. There are plenty of levels, 50 plus the bonus chapter, but without any warmth to the characters or fun factor involved its hard to get immersed in it. You will need to apply strategy yes, but the tasks and the features are fairly mundane. So really as a CE you just get more levels of the same.

Its not the worst game around, and its ok as a filler in when you just need a new TM to play, but not a great offering. I don't see anything much added in this installment to the others. Can only recommend it as a CE if there is a really good sale on.

Try the demo. Some will love it, some will expect more. I did. Show less

This is an exact replica of the last game with a different title. I mean, even down to the resource placement. Definitely not a CE and should not be a CE price.

Though the colors and graphics are very clear, I agree with the previous reviewer this was very much a let-down after the latest Roman Adventures adventure. I really cannot recommend this game to anyone other than those looking for something with which to pass the time. Sorry, Developers, but you need to step up your game with this series. Show less

I play TM games all the time and by the 3rd or 4th level of the demo was waiting for resources to complete with three stars, This annoys me. Waiting while the boats go back and forth is tedious. I have the other games in the series so was willing to give this a try but deleted long before demo was done. I play for fun not frustration. This was the first Argonauts game we played and was impressed and I was looking forward to buying another one but after reading some of the comments I decided we'd wait a wee bit and hopefully the developer will change the others a tiny bit...so We're not playing the same game again with a different title !!!

This is a great game for the younger generation and we did have fun playing.!!!

Try the demo ... it might be just perfect and what you're looking for !!! Show less
