I love the Enchanted Kingdom games. They are colorful and take you to an imaginary world where you can forget this crazy world of ours for awhile. I like the stories they tell and the characters they create. Sure, the game might be too tame for those gamers who like all the creepy, scary psychological games, but halloween is in the future and I am sure the developers are going to bring out some ...Show more

I love the Enchanted Kingdom games. They are colorful and take you to an imaginary world where you can forget this crazy world of ours for awhile. Okay. It has become a fact of life: the big studios are bored with their jobs and are resorting to churning out games constructed around pre-fab coding. Just change the graphics and some of the dialog. The basic programming for feed the critter, find a toy, find a coin instead of a screwdriver, and all the other tasks that appear over and over again in all the Adventure games these days, are merely being passed around from studio to studio.

And so are the stupidly misnamed tools (sorry, you can't cut wire, especially barbed wire, with cuticle clippers or a pair of pliers, not even in a magic kingdom).

Now, I bought the game because I was certain there would be some redeeming features, and admittedly, bits and pieces were fun to play, just enough that I had a fairly good time when I wasn't slogging through the streets of no surprises, muttering "Really?" and "You've GOT to be kidding me".

NOTE TO DEVS: Here are adventure plots you may want to re-imagine that do not involve world domination or destruction.
Treasure Island, King Solomon's Mines, Sea Wolf, Ivanhoe, Kim, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and so many more.

So, I am recommending this game for the newbies. For the rest of us - just pass. Show less

I played this today, after trying it, then got it , the full game. Its absolutely fantastic, and after reading one negative over the top review, I was surprised, but I often notice some kind over hatchet job, bad review didnt make sense, Ive played almostall the games like this and others including Domini, and it was not only fantastic, it was better then even the great games already put out. I have played for years, since I first played House of a 10001 Doors, and that was what finally got me to playing more and more of these.
First off don't heed the negative review, its worth playing and then some. I don't have to refute anything because its a game with a powerful theme, and side quests, all leading to the puzzles, the characters, all i can say is definitely play this game, its great.
I gave this five stars, and without further going on and on, itwill be a popular game, its a great one!
Many things stand out when I first played the free try it, the graphics are exquisite, the effects do not go overboard, the theme, the scenes, the story line, the items, the puzzles,. all great, so I decided to get the full version and play it through. There is nothing wrong with this game, its one of the greats and Ive played them, all.
This game team put together another fantastic game! Bravo!
Definitely I recommend this game! Show less

So many nice characters and creatures. I liked the few surprises in the story of the main game. The bad guy is really bad and when you help you get helped. The bonus chapter continues the story. It's a long game with 8 chapters + bonus. I didn't swallow this one whole. I played over four days. I really appreciate the art work in this one. It's nice to stop and look it over. I think a few hops at the end were too hard. I think they could have used instruction. The others were fun. I liked half of the mini-games. I didn't get two achievements that I should have like collecting all the statuettes and reveal the tomes text. A four square lettered collectible guide F is missing from the guide. The pink fish in the boudoir is too faded out. With all the nice coloring some things in the boudoir needed more color. None of the collectibles are in the map and you can only access them during game play by touching the indicators which is ok, better than not at all. These are my only complaints.

FYI- The recipe for the Ox is in a note in the task book. It said use the recipe and I thought what recipe and was looking for it. You may have to go back two pages depending on where you are.

Replay 24 videos, 18 hops, 18 mini-games and 5 music. Has 8 chapters + bonus, 10 wallpapers, 10 concept art, Boudoir (fish tank). Find 14 hidden herbs, 15 morphing statuettes and 70 gems wrapped with wire. Show less

I played the demo and loved this game. I love the Enchanted Kingdom games. Just a relaxing, fun way to pass some time. I plan to purchase the game when it goes on sale. Recommend highly for a leisurely game time.
