Mahjong Magic Journey 2 is another of the endless mahjong games from this developer. Although the graphics are lovely and the music is soothing, the game is just the same old game dressed up in fancy graphics.

Mahjong Magic Journey 2 is another of the endless mahjong games from this developer. Although the graphics are lovely and the music is soothing, the game is just the same old game dressed up in fancy graphics.

The game lost me when it presented goals that needed to be met in order to win each level. When I play mahjong it is to relax and not have specific goals to meet such as complete the level in so many moves. As far as I can see, the game settings offer no relaxed mode where I can play this beautiful game at my leisure. Not everyone wants to play a game with preset objectives to meet, and I happen to be one of those who don’t like these types of mahjong games. Take away the level tasks, or at least have an option to play without having level goals, and this game would be a winner; however, as it is presented, it is not a mahjong game I would purchase. For those of you who like playing to beat each level, then I can recommend Mahjong Magic Journey 2 as an absolutely perfect mahjong game for you. Show less

Mahjong and 8floor games-2 of my favorites. Again this developer has come up with another winner in my book.
I am a big fan of mahjong and this was no disappointment. Graphics are nice, game play is challenging and this is just FUN to me.
I know a lot of people don't care for these games because of the monotony but I find them relaxing.

There are limits you have to meet and they are difficult but on some of this developers games you can turn turn them off.
I recommend this game for mahjong lovers but not really for other gamers.

They simply change the theme of the tiles and that's all, everything else is the same, same goals, same layouts, same boring Mahjong. This Mahjong game is exactly the same as the last one by this dev, and the one before that and the one before that. They simply change the theme of the tiles and that's all, everything else is the same, same goals, same layouts, same boring Mahjong. This Journey is a "fairytale" journey with dragons, unicorns and fairy tiles, but there is no story as the title would lead you to believe. There are 6 Rooms and each room has about 20 levels each, the goals are the same each time with different numbers to achieve to earn 3 Keys, and unlock the next level. You must remove all Gold Tiles, the faster you remove tiles and the more regular tiles remaining will give you a higher score. You earn two more keys if you score a certain amount of points, and if you remove all Gold Tiles within a specific amount of moves. Earning 3 keys is harder than it looks because it's almost impossible to score enough points because the Gold Tiles are buried and the only way to match gold tiles with gold tiles is to use the shuffle feature several times which cuts down on your points. Removing Silver tiles recharge the shuffle feature immediately, but most levels end up in a stalemate with no matches available forcing you to use the shuffle more than once. You can replay the level as often as you want to try to achieve a better score, but the levels are boring, especially when you constantly run out of available moves, so there's nothing exciting to entice me to replay the same level. There is an Icon on the bottom left of the screen that allows you to shade all blocked tile, but that's it in a nutshell, same game, same features, same goals, so pick a theme from these devs because there's nothing different other than the theme. I really liked this game at first but after I realized I couldn't go on to the next adventure level without gaining enough points it became very frustrating. I tried and tried to complete the puzzles and earn enough points to move on and it was so hard I finally gave up after playing less than half of the puzzles. It wasn't relaxing at all at that point and I couldn't find any hints anywhere of ...Show more
