How have I missed the The Love Chronicles series because this game is too much fun. The Graphics are great and colorful, the voice-overs are spot on especially the cat. This was a game that is fun to play and you get a few good laughs while playing. Even the games that I usually skip because they are just beyond me, these games were different and fun. Love Chronicles is usually just a love story, but this one was exciting and actually was more of an adventure. Graphics were very well done and storyline was a real adventure; challenge was just right for my taste and this was a lot of fun to play. Love Chronicles is usually just a love story, but this one was exciting and actually was more of an adventure. My rating is based on playing the entire SE. It meets most of my requirements.

- Story: Fantasy story. You’re a princess. It is up to you, if there will be light or shadow.

- Difficulty can be partly customized. Tutorial, sparkles, glitter, hint / skip recharge. Helping texts can’t be excluded.

- Graphics/locations: Nice entry. Fitting graphics giving a clear feeling for the fairy tale. ...Show more

- Voice-overs: Excellent, very fitting and interesting e.g. purring cat, or skeleton

- Tools: you have an interactive map – Sebastian is lending you a helping paw and your glowing orb can help to defeat some foes.

- HO’s: Interesting types, slightly interactive description, silhouettes… You can’t switch to another mode.

- Mini games: Not pretty difficult, but well done.

- Adventure part: lovely.

- Specials: there are some nice extra along the game, e.g. peak the bubbles, or the singing skeletons. You cat Sebastian is quite interesting.

- Length: I needed nearly four hours for completing. Show less

What a gem. The HOS were extremely fun and different and I enjoyed the story line. The characters were all unique and I enjoyed their humor. A nice, lighthearted, peaceful game. I am looking forward to more.

I was very pleased and charmed by this nice game.
No ghosts, no ugly things, no darkness.

A very cute, nice and rather long game with good graphism, good stoy, delightful dark world inhabitants.
Moreover, the HOP and puzzles are so different that is is enchanting.

Everyone know's your 21st birthday brings a life changing event, but for Princess Lerione, her coming of age birthday will change her life forever. Her mother, Queen Alura, has just given the princess an amulet, and in the blink of an eye, her entire world changes. The princess has just entered the Shadow World, and soon discovers her mother's past is now her future! An evil villain captured Alura during her coming of age, and a brave prince went to the past to alter the course of events, which prevented Alura from becoming a witch. Now the princess must face many challenges in a world filled with dark magic, she must choose her own path using Light Magic, or Dark Magic, either decision will leave an everlasting imprint on her soul!

The Shadow World is a world of magic, so naturally, Princess Lerione receives a Magic Ball to rid the world of unfriendly Shadow World dwellers. Each time it's used you'll have to choose whether to use Light magic which rids the dwellers without harm, or Dark magic which rids them for good (but in a bad way I suppose) The Royal Wizard let's you borrow his feline counterpart, Sebastian who helps you out by retrieving items only a talking cat can get to. Many of the inventory items have plus signs indicating further action is required before the item can be used, and many of those actions are small puzzles to solve. The Collector's Edition version has 26 Morphing Objects to discover and 11 Collectible Figurines with bios, throughout the game. The graphics are fantastic, and there's all kinds of creatures and things that go bump in the night, nothing really scary, but it's a nice change of pace.

The Hidden Object Puzzles are pretty creative, for example, one HOP has an organ playing skeleton that has you repeating color coded sequences on the organ keys, then throws out pictures of items to find in several stages, between stages you will find his accessories and place them appropriately. There are also interactive list finds with muzzles to solve, silhouetted shape finds, story item finds and even a HOP using a magic revealing lens that shows invisible items.

The Mini Games are just plain ole fun, and in abundance. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1) Navigate your boat using arrows to avoid obstacles.

2) Tap planks to form stairs, clicking on one plank affects others.

3) Swap tiles to form a complete image for three different images.

4) Change the position of the rabbit on the right to match the rabbit on the left.

5) Carve a bucket out of a pumpkin by dragging the knife along the lines.

6) Put the flowers on the wreath correctly.

7) Hang the beads above the bed according to the clues shown.

The Collector's Edition has 26 Morphing Objects, 11 Collectible Figurines, 8 Music Soundtracks, 8 Wallpapers, 7 Concept Art pictures, VG Team pictures, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Show less

A fun game that tries (and succeeds) to break out of the usual HO game formula.
The HO scenes were excellent, and the puzzles were a lot of fun, but it was the choices of light or dark really made this game.
The only downside was the story (particularly the ending) felt quite disjointed and could have been improved

Slow day -- rain and cool, it was Sunday and I needed a day without politics so I tried this game.

Well done and yes cute.

I recommend this game for youngsters age 7 to 10 a good game for a parent to play along with their child.
