Fantasy Mosaics has been around for a long time, and I have a feeling that our grandkids will be playing the new releases someday. I would still love to see a little more of a storyline, one that was told a little at a time after each level, rather than just getting a new Garden item. I would also enjoy a few new features added, the locked colors are okay, but surely one doesn't need 29 versions of a game with the same basic features. Fantasy Mosaics is an excellent series though, but I think I enjoy the Rainbow Mosaics games just a tad bit more, because of the ongoing storylines (sorry Mr. Penguin)
The Locked Colors have returned, where some of the colors aren't available until you uncover Keys by filling in certain cells. This feature would be awesome, but it seems to me that the puzzles are far too easy since this feature was added.
They have also added a choice of 5 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy and styles. This feature has been standard within the Rainbow Mosaics series which offers twice as many, including unusual shapes like lego pieces, and they have a solid storyline throughout the game, so FM has some competition. The Eye feature has returned, which allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the lines, and they added a reset icon too.
Fantasy Mosaics 1-4 only offered single colored puzzles, and the introduction of 6 colors wasn't introduced until FM 16, and really with the exception of adding the Stars for not using Hints within the last few games, they are a bit slow to give FM fans new options.
You can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
The game may seem complicated if you're new to this genre, but it really is an easy game to learn. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.
I'm still a fan of the Fantasy Mosaics series, they are always based upon logic, which isn't always the case with similar games. The pictures are always easily recognized and labeled, and they always seem to come up with a wide range of colors, so happy griddling and enjoy!

Locked colors is a fairly recent addiction to the series. It's okay- not great.
How could it improve? All games can improve. Mini games added in to find the next addition to the garden...Levels could be a bit more difficult... Much as I love following the penguins any game can get stagnant.

This is my 29th Fantasy Mosaic game...and I love each one of them. I do, however, always play the one hour trial just to make sure the game will play on my older-than-dirt computer, but once it reaches the end of the trial, there is no hesitation with buying any Fantasy Mosaic game.

Yes, they just keep churning these out...and I am all for it. They can get quite challenging, but not so much that playing isn't relaxing (and that's why I play games). I know that logic will prevail; whereas, some other mosaic games have the colors off so that they are hard to see, or you have to guess on the last color and square but if you are like me, you like to get a "perfect" puzzle each time. These are just the best.
Please keep them coming...and oh, by the way, you can always send them my way to "try" before the general public.

I own most of these and love playing them. They are a wonderful break from all the other types of games. What I find about this one to be exceptional is the music! It is so soothing to my senses and would love to know if it is part of a longer piece. If so, I really would like to know the name of it.

Another Fantasy Mosaics that hasn't changed much. The cursor still doesn't 'stay' on the line, even if you miss a tile or two. Very annoying if you have a line of 20 tiles (and a not so steady hand anymore). And if you go to the next color (cause the first is hard to start with) and finish it, it goes back to the first color instead of the next in line. On positive, colours good and pics identifiable. Fantasy Mosaics now becoming boring and monotonous. They are not difficult, not much brain power needed. Great if you just want to switch off and be robotic.

The penguins are still at it and good for them. I like the game and the whole series. I do also find them a little monotonous like some other reviewers have said. I would really like to see more challenging levels. The Gizmos are my favorite games of this genre. They are much more challenging but can still be solved with logic and not just guessing. Just swiping across large area is boring.

I believe, that the developers have run out of ideas. Especially in the garden, the "Play with me" characters are dull and they refuse to play (except the Robot). So far my favourite characters are in Fantasy Mosaics 23: Magic Forest.
The game itself is functioning allright, as it should by now, and I still recommend it, but don't let the garden disturb your fun, as it did to me.
I recommend this game!

I own too many of these to spend more money on them so it's a pass for me.
If there are any game players who are unfamiliar with these grid games be assured that Fantasy Mosaics is in no way shape or form a SUDOKU style game.
I endorse the game for those who cannot get enough of these. I have had more than enough Show less
