This series just keeps getting better and better, in fact, I really do prefer Rainbow Mosaics over the penguins. The colors are so much more vibrant and the tileset choices are more appealing, not to mention that this series includes an actual storyline as you progress.

This series just keeps getting better and better, in fact, I really do prefer Rainbow Mosaics over the penguins. The colors are so much more vibrant and the tileset choices are more appealing, not to mention that this series includes an actual storyline as you progress.

One of my favorite features in Rainbow Mosaics is that you can choose the style of Tiles that fill in the squares. The previous games had 10 to choose from, and now there are 12 to choose from in Strange Thing! (my personal favorite is the Lego style and the newer round tiles) When you cross off the tiles, the X's are dog bones which I thought was pretty cool, and once you complete the puzzle, the completed image is shown and labeled so you'll never have to guess at what the end result is. You can also choose to play in an Expert mode which only crosses off the numbers once the entire row or column has been correctly filled in, AND the power-ups are disabled.

There are 120 levels, and as you play each level, they will be available in the Free-play section. As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase decorations in the Trophy Room or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. There are 9 Achievements to earn in the form of a Trophy, and you can read about the story by selecting the Book Icon.

*The Eye Power-up will reveal the status of a Random Square
*The Lightning Power-up will reveal a Chosen Square
*The Grid Power-up will reveal a Chosen Grid Area

For those of you who have never played this type of game before, don't let it intimidate you. When I first started playing games I passed them up because they looked so complicated but they really aren't, however, they are extremely addicting. I like the fact that as you are solving the puzzles, not only does the row and column you are working on become highlighted, but each individual square the cursor is hovering over becomes outlined with the color you have currently selected so it's less confusing and you're less likely to make a mistake, enjoy!

I'm impressed and I'm also relieved that the doggie in the bicycle basket was not injured when the mysterious package was dropped beside him/her. The soundtrack is fun and varied so crank it up while you play as it adds a lot of character to the story behind the puzzles. Is it a great game? Totally. Once you finish a set number of puzzles rewards\achievements are unlocked. Not enough time for me to unlock the first one so I'm looking forward to see what they entail. There's a story to be told as you progress and I'm hooked wanting to know what the package is, who the mysterious man is and who is driving that black battleship of a car. And yes the puzzles are LOGIC BASED! Show less

If I'm going to play a mosiac game, this is my favourite series so far. In my opinion it is very challenging. Some puzzles are really easy and then others are tricky but still logical enough to think about the next move.

Loving the new bright colours too, pleasant change from the bland ones in the past. The story lines pretty good but that's just a minor bonus.

I recommend this game!

I was really happy to see another Rainbow Mosaics game, yippee!!!!! This series, along with the 'World's Greatest Cities Mosaics' one, figure equally as top-rated games of this genre, ahead of 'Fantasy Mosaics' (Penguin).
Both are a joy to play with innovative aspects, bright colours, great graphics, and with this series, a marvellous choice of tile skins!

Another great game in the Rainbow mosaics series. I really like the ability to change tile sets, and especially if you want to replay the puzzle to improve your score you just hit replay. You do not have to exit and re-enter in order to do it. Much more convenient than the penguins. I much prefer this series of mosaic puzzle games over the penguin ones.
