My review is based on playing the demo.

The graphics in this game are very bright and colorful. It is sort of a Match 3 game with a twist. Colored raindrops fall from a big cloud to form a grid. Only the top raindrop in each column can be selected to play.

My review is based on playing the demo.

To the right of the grid is a series of small clouds under a tree, one for each color of a rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, light blue/turquoise, dark blue and purple. Clicking on one of the raindrops on the grid moves it to the same-colored cloud under the tree. When all the small clouds to the right of the grid have raindrops, the raindrops form up and add to the length of the rainbow at the top of the scene. The goal is to extend the rainbow completely across the scene, using as many raindrops from the grid as possible. This completes the grid and opens a new one.

The small clouds waiting for the raindrops must be pulsing in order for a raindrop to be placed on it. Sometimes all the clouds are pulsing at the beginning of a grid, but once a raindrop is placed, then only one cloud at a time is pulsing. Once a raindrop is placed on that small cloud, then another small cloud starts pulsing, usually the one next in line.

Here is where using strategy comes in. If there are several raindrops in the top row of the grid that are needed for the next available small cloud, the one that will free up a different colored raindrop that will be needed later needs to be used.

This doesn't appear to be a timed game, but I did see the rainbow retreat a couple of times but I wasn't sure why. If the grid does not have an available raindrop of the right color, clicking on the big cloud above the grid will release more raindrops. At the beginning, only one or two new raindrops fell, one of which was always the color needed to advance. I'm thinking this may change as the difficulty of the grids increases.

There are also small clouds with lightening that appear randomly in the grid. Using the raindrop above this little cloud releases lightening from the big cloud that removes all the raindrops in that column. I guess this could be called a powerup which removes a lot of raindrops at once. Using as many of the raindrops in the grid as possible seems to be a goal in the game, as well as extending the rainbow across the scene.

At times, there seems to be raindrops transferred from the grid to a "storage" area in the tree above the small clouds. How and why this happens was not apparent to me. These raindrops are used automatically by the game at times when a certain colored raindrop is needed but is not available anywhere in the grid. I was not able to determine how these raindrops were transferred to storage.

When the rainbow has been extended across the scene, another grid begins. I didn't see any scoring of any kind and no achievements, etc. Just a simple, fairly easy game that would be good for kids to teach colors. However, I'm expecting the game to get more difficult as it progresses and that it will appeal to adults as well. There is a map that shows all the clouds that represent grids that need to be played. There are lots of these clouds, so the game will be a long one, which is another reason I think the difficulty of the grids will increase. I enjoyed the demo enough to purchase the game to see if I am right. Show less
