I liked this game as much as the other Alicia Quatermain games.
The graphics are cute and entertaining. Story line is good enough that I am following it and a lot of times I ignore that. The music is the same as the other games in the series. I was having fun and that is what it is all about., I am glad this is not a CE so more affordable. I recommend this game.

I love this series and this one didn't disappoint. It's challenging right from Level 1 but not too challenging that it's frustrating. I definitely suggest leaving the hints on as there are many new things in this game that weren't in the others!

I have all the series now and they did not disappoint with this one, in fact it is even better and fun, the way it is thought out is brilliant for example, repair the dam and hey presto twice as much area to work with.The graphics are great and you have 3 levels that will suit all tastes

The robbers stole a star!

I have the previous Alicia games and I LOVE them, I've completed both. This third one, however, is different. The graphics are better, there are character additions (ghosts, robbers, dog) and gameplay is slightly different.

Normally, a game of such would be a 5-star game, but I'm downgrading it simply due to the robbers. NOT because they include them in the game, but the WAY they include them. In the levels that include the robbers, you chase the robber away (with dog) so your workers can complete their task (robber scares them away) but then just seconds later, the robber re-appears. I had to replay multiple levels because the robber showed up just in time to cause me to lose a star in the level. Really bad play on the part of developers. At least with the ghosts, there's a strategy for getting rid of them. So, since the robbers stole my level stars, consider this my retribution. 4 stars. Show less

JetDogs have really outdone themselves with the amazing graphics, but at what cost? I have a 27" MacPro which really allows the graphics to pop, but the dialog boxes are tiny, the font is so small it's hard to see at times and all the resource icons are smashed together on the right side, impossible to give it a quick glance to tell what you have already collected. When I played the CE version I used my laptop so I just assumed everything was small because of the smaller screen size. If not for that inconvenience I probably would have given this Standard Edition version a 5-star rating! (not to mention re-thinking my decision to buy this version)

You can play in an Easy untimed mode, Normal or Expert mode. (in the CE, if you earn the expert status of 3 stars, you can repair Mr. Gringrays Museum) You can replay any level to try for a better star rating. During the game, you can collect stars that will recharge the Bonus Icons faster, with typical features such as faster workers and more resources.

This SE version still offers 40 levels of gameplay, 34 Achievements to earn, Hidden Puzzle Runes in each scene the allow you to assemble 4 Puzzles, and 4 Secret Levels. From what I can tell, the only things you don't get with this version are 6 Wallpapers and a Strategy Guide!

A maddening clickfest...

The 1st, 2nd and 4th in the series are superior. One might have to work a little to achieve 3 stars across the board but once the strategy is worked out the reward follows.
