Review based on trial period... I'm still playing the SEOUL release.

Looks like BFG has a backlog of games; I was writing only a couple of weeks ago that I was finishing "BERLIN" when they released SEOUL (which actually hit the marketplace in June 2019.) We now get PRAGUE (#9) and #10, SPOOKY HALLOWEEN, is coming soon.

I enjoy these games as it tickles the brain with the just the right amount of challenge for me. The mechanics are the same as always; remember that you can change the appearance of the filled tiles and the empty tiles by clicking on the buttons on the RIGHT side of the "Options" menu.

The graphics cannot be as spectacular as jigsaws, so it would be better, IMHO, if the devs could label the pictures once solved.

I do enjoy the choice of 3 difficulty levels as it dramatically changes the methodology.

I guess I'll see you in Prague! Show less

The Travel Mosaics games have become my favorite and finally ousted the penguins from first place in my heart. These games offer so much more challenge even from the beginning boards in the game. I like that I really have to think about where to place my tiles and often have to switch colors back and forth in order to complete the individual colors.

I absolutely love this series with neat mosaics and information about far-away places. I love being able to use the clues so the puzzle doesn't need to restart. There is so much information about these places that we would never find all in one tourist information package. I hope there are many more of these to come.

I recommend this game!

I always have a great time! This is a quality nonogram series and I'm happy to see Number 9 so soon. With 140 levels and the additional bonus games I will be a busy bee once again. I really enjoy seeing the pictures take shape and try to guess what they are before completed.

The colors are nice and bright, there are many good features and the power-ups help me out if I'm really stuck. I don't mind having just one style option for the tiles. They are colorful and pleasing to my eye, The music is good. The pictures are so doggone cute and easily recognizable. Also, I have never had any issues with any of the Travel Mosaics games, always run smoothly.

If you haven't tried this fun series, pack your bags and give it a whirl. I highly recommend.

Whew, this series is gonna catch up with the penguins by Christmas at the rate they are coming out! I'm a puzzle geek and I truly do love Mosaic games but I don't want to keep playing the same game over and over from a select few developers. The penguins have released 37 games in 5 years, and now Travel Mosaics is on the 9th game in just a year. I mean no disrespect to either of these developers, ...Show more

I'm okay with these developers, but can't they create other series that have different graphics and features? After playing 3-4 games in a series the only reason to buy a new game is if you want a different image to solve, but eventually, you can go back to the first release and you won't remember doing those images so it'll be the same thing as buying a new game in the same series if none of the features have changed, right??? My point is, it gets boring to do the same thing over and over no matter what it is, at some point, it just becomes a habit. If you want to keep diehard fans on board the fan-train, you have to change things to make it different than the one before, better yet, keep this game the same and create a new series that has completely different graphics (preferably not the gummy candy, mobile game style)

As I've said many times before, I've never been a fan of all the glitzy gummy-looking tiles constantly bouncing, the strange sounds that accompany completing a grouping of cells, finishing a color grouping, or earning a new Heart-life. (it's the same sound other games have to alert you when you've made a mistake!) I like to play Mosaics to relax and tune out all of the hustle and bustle of a hectic day and the last thing I want is sensory overload.

With that being said, I know a lot of people enjoy the gummy candy tile appearance and the cartoon animal Walker family adventures, so if you are a fan or new to the genre, this will be a welcome addition.

There are options for the crossed-off cells such as light or dark cells and there are Five Tile fill-in options to choose from, a Bubble style, a square with rounded corners, a Princess Cut Diamond shape, a multi-faceted tile, and a lunar-style. You can play in an Easy mode which crosses off cells for you and applies the appropriate colors, a Normal mode, or a Difficult mode which only crosses off squares when the entire row and column has been completed, and you have to manually switch between colors.

As you fill in the cells you will earn coins, Heart/Lives or Power-up recharges. Power-ups, such as a Hammer, Sun, Lightning or Bombs, originally don't have much coverage but increases with each upgrade. (can be upgraded twice) There are 7 Achievement Trophies to earn, and you can buy various souvenirs in the Shop to decorate the Walker family's living room because apparently they ditch the older ones lol.

Each of the Locations has 6 main Mosaic levels, 1 bonus level, and 1 additional puzzle (jigsaw variations) You must earn at least 2 Stars on each main level to open the bonus level, and you must earn a minimum of 2 stars on the Bonus Level to open the additional puzzle variation. You also have to earn at least 1 Star in each of the main levels to unlock the next location or group of mosaic levels.

I have looked at all these travel ones and would love to see puzzles that have something to do with the country-I download according to the still pictures that are displayed on the site and only the Christmas one seems to have anything remotely Christmasy about it. I have the same problem with jigsaw puzzles that are supposed to be themed but are generic pictures. I'm not a person who reads storylines-I skip all that but it would be so much more desirable if they had puzzles with some distinctive designs-maybe I'm not going far enough into them-if someone else can advise if the puzzles get better the further in you go I would appreciate it. Show less
