Now, this is how a Match 3 game should be! Now, this is how a Match 3 game should be! There's a fine line between offering an unchanged sequel for fear of losing their fan base and offering a sequel that has just enough change to keep it fresh for those of us who have played them all while keeping the mechanics familiar enough to keep their fan base. The creators of these friendly little Ghosts of Laruaville know exactly how to walk that fine line, the result...another incredibly entertaining Match 3 game worthy of a sequel!

You can play in a Relaxed Mode or a Limited Moves or Limited Time Mode and there are 40 Bonus Match 3 Levels to Unlock, which allows you to replay the levels. After each Match 3 level, you can play a Solitaire or Mahjong game as well as my personal favorites, Spot the Difference with differences that aren't as obvious as you'd expect. (you can skip the mini-games) The tutorial is pretty vague but you can click on the Book at the top of the screen to read everything you need to know, including tips & tricks.
Laruaville is a Match 3 game that's "All About The Coins", the level goals are clear and simple, collect all of the coins, but of course, collecting the coins is anything but simple! There are plenty of obstacles to make the goal more difficult, but overcoming those obstacles only matters if they are preventing you from getting to the coins.
There are several types of Coins available:
•Gold Coins: requires an adjacent match to collect.
•Gem Coins: requires 1 match to remove gems, a second to collect.
•Frozen Coins: requires activating torches.
•Half Coins: requires joining 2 halves by making matches between.
•Locked Coins: requires unlocking Coin Key.
•Coin Molds: requires guiding liquid gold to the mold to form a coin.
•D#@%ed (censored) Coins: do NOT collect you will lose the level!
There are several Obstacles preventing you from getting to the Coins, however, if they aren't blocking a coin there's no need to overcome some obstacles. Power-ups will destroy most obstacles as well:
•Crates: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Shielded Crates: requires an adjacent match on the unshielded portion.
•Petals: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Sand: requires 3 adjacent matches to remove.
•Fog: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Ice: requires a match 3 of whichever tile is trapped in the ice.
•Chains: requires a match 3 of whichever tile is chained.
•Keys: requires moving towards a locked coin by matching in between.
•Vials: requires filling with purple drops by matching vertically.
•Wooden Walls: requires an adjacent match to remove.
•Stone Walls: requires several adjacent matches to remove.
•Metal Walls: cannot be destroyed.
•Torches: spread fire to melt snow, ice, etc. by making adjacent matches.
Large Matches will earn Power-ups on the board, however, there are times when a Power-up can hurt rather than help (read the Tips & Tricks Book) Most power-ups can be moved or double-clicked to activate.
•Small Rocket: vertical OR horizontal line busters (right-click to direct)
•Large Rocket: selects a target in order of importance.
•Bombs: explodes with an adjacent match (usually w/ a chain reaction)
•Amulet: destroys 15 Random tiles.
•Cannons: requires an adjacent match on the Red Cell to activate.
In the Demon Match 3 game, you play against the demon on a split board alternating turns with the Demon. You must collect more Coins faster than the Demon did on his turn, you can create power-ups and use them, however, using power-ups will count as 2 moves.

We are now on Episode 9, has it lost it's touch? Of course not.
Ok it's the same style but with a change of tiles and a few extras these games just get better and keep me as a total fan.. I played the demo and it was over so quick that I just had to continue. If only other games where like this one in providing enough change to keep us happy. A round of applause I think

I have all of the Laruaville games I was disappointed in #8 but the devs really came back strong on game #9.
Still has music issues, will have the background music then dead silence then music starts up again. Other than that
LOVE IT

Its not often a game can get to this amount in a series and still come up shining. The developers of this series bother to change their tiles, their storylines and give good value amount of levels to all their games
The Laruaville series is a tad easier in the main game than its 'cousin who is cursed'. And it is designed that way, so we can pick which one is our preference. There are bonus rounds which appear after you play a certain amount of levels, and on one half of them there is a new feature of playing a dual against their AI, who if it beats you seems to get kinder eventually lol. And on the other half the dreaded 'black coins' are back that you cant touch or 'game over'
I was pleasantly surprised how often new tiles were introduced and they are visually pleasing. So whilst I haven't seen any 'really new' features, you DO feel like you are playing a different game.
There are all the usual suspects, fire tiles, frozen coins, droplets, blank areas that don't burn, and coins to join etc. It did take me a repeat on one 'join coin' level in fact to get my game mojo in form, as there was an order to which coins went first. I wasted time moving one, only to get to the end and find I was blocked. Clever.
A difference I didn't like as much was that to me it seemed harder to know if my fires were still burning in this one? Not as bright. The mini games are exactly the same, mahjong, spot the difference, hidden object and poker...but I skip them. I play in timed, but there is a relaxed and limited moves.
.
Even if you own all the others I still think you will enjoy this game. The storyline is very humorous, and the whole game is clever, good value and feel good. Enjoy!

These are fun, challenging and definitely replayable. Every version has slightly difference mechanics so they're not a carbon copy of each other. Hours of fun here if you like match-3. Show less

I did a jump for joy when I saw another Laruaville appear as the new game of the day. Buying it was a total no-brainer. This is another fantastic installment in the saga. Even at #9, it's still top notch in every way. Some of the old and familiar along with some new, so it's a perfect combination. This is the most excited I've been about a new game in a long time.
