Thank you for popping out a new Fantasy Mosaics and adding more appealing music and making the music change between 2 songs. The bass is great behind song #1 and I love #2 because I always love beautiful piano music. It looks like we are taking a trip through a mirror. I haven't played the whole game and admittedly am a huge fan of this series. There are some interesting "play with me" objects that I am really enjoying. Give it a try!!

I love Mosaic games and Fantasy Mosaics has proven itself worthy, I don't know of any other game series that has 39 games under their belt? Not a lot has changed over those 39 games, however, I was really impressed with the color selections and the sharp contrasts between those colors, so they either adopted a new color scale or updated their graphics to make their existing color scale pop!

The Zen Mode has returned for those who prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch between colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.

In addition to the new Zen Mode, you can also choose to play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.

There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers each. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.

There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved. Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

Really not much different than the other 38 Fantasy Mosaics games. I own several of them, so every month or so, I will pull up one of them and play it again, and it feels just like I bought a new game, but I actually saved money. They are going to have to come up with something new to put this over the top and make any "new" editions worth the price.

Really wish these Mosaic games had a Save feature so that could save after you complete a color of the mosaic.
Having to start over and redo 3 colors you have already completed is a waste of time and defeats the fun of the games.
A SAVE option needs to be added....to at least save colors you complete if not saving at anytime to get back to where you were.

I recommend this game!

I love Fantasy Mosaics. And I have purchased most of them, but I have to say this one is a waste of money. Yes, the "Play with me" interludes when you finish a level are an interesting diversion, but the puzzles are poor. It is as if these were the puzzles that didn't make the earlier versions because they weren't good enough. I am disappointed.

I don't recommend this game.

I love a good mosaic game but 39 of the same thing is just too much. They have made a few changes over the years but not enough to get me to buy more than 3 or 4. There are other mosaic games that are quite frankly better with many more features, but everyone loves the little penguins. Sorry I am not one of them. This developer should try their hand at a different type of puzzle game, they do well in the graphics department. so use those talents in a slightly different capacity. As another reviewer wrote " I just get one of my previous mosaic games out and replay it, and it's like a completely new game". That is what I do as well. If you have purchased other games in this series just go replay them and save yourselves money. I do not recommend this game. Show less
