I did not think I would like this game since it is the kind of solitaire where once you remove all of the gold cards it does not allow you to remove the remaining cards from the tableau, but I have fallen in love with the game and replay it often. I did not think I would like this game since it is the kind of solitaire where once you remove all of the gold cards it does not allow you to remove the remaining cards from the tableau, but I have fallen in love with the game and replay it often. I like the level of challenge & strategy required to win (it's just right...sometimes having to replay certain hands) and I think the background artwork is quite beautiful.

I work to get a perfect score on each hand and that's not always easy. It also is a challenge to think about how to try and remove all of the cards (or as many as possible) before removing the last gold card. Some hands give you large draw piles and some small draw piles, so you have to really think about how to use your coins, jokers and shuffles to get through those hands with smaller draw piles.

Two modes: Newbie (which let's you replay any hand at any time) and Professional which allows you to replay a hand immediately, but once you've left that hand, you cannot replay it without restarting the entire level). Not much of a storyline, but I don't mind. I play it for the solitaire fun and a storyline (if not super developed) would likely be more of an annoyance here.

There are 20 levels and each level has 10 hands. You need to earn a minimum number of gold cards on a level in order to advance to the following level (but you do not have to be perfect on each level).

You can purchase undos, jokers (wild cards) and shuffles and you can also earn jokers, shuffles and coins via special cards. Coins are also earned by the number of cards you remove from the tableau (with faster game play earning more coins).

I like that it allows me to turn off the game cursor (which sometimes makes my computer run slowly, so I usually don't purchase games that don't have this option).

There are three choices for card faces and nine options for card back colors (some colors are harder to see against the backgrounds).

It may seem difficult at first, but I've played it many times and can complete the game with a perfect score...it just takes persistence and thoughtful/creative strategies for the use of coins, shuffles and jokers. Show less

I love these games. Yes, you only have to eliminate the gold cards but some times that isn't always easy. I think the background art work is nice.

Again, I recommand this game, if you never played the serie. If not, the scenery is different and nice, but not much challenge to the game, The same old routine...

I was going to buy this game at first but after playing a few hands when you click for a new card it sometimes flips over 2 then you have to lose that card or pay money to get at least one of your cards back. I have found that after playing this that this developers games are like that so I won't be buying anymore of them until they fix that problem. The developers live in a fairytale world if they think these are the features solitaire fans enjoy. Games by this developer are mass-produced with little thought or consideration to the quality of the game or its features. Reviewers state over and over that they want to be able to remove all cards, not just the special cards, but they never bother to offer Solitaire games that will please "we the people" because that would require changing something besides the title and background!

Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font), but even the designs are the same as all their other solitaire games. The music isn't bad, but yes, it too is the same, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with an awkward silence.

As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack.

This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game (of course it is) where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location.

When you remove cards with a round blue flower, you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000. Lucky us, they decided to add several more bonus cards per level which translates to an agonizing game interruption because the game freezes to show you what you have just won.

Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I didn't play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC. When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider it, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards. Until they bother to change something...anything...I will continue giving them a single star, I'd give them ZERO stars if I could! Show less
