This is an enjoyable game for all ages, but it is also a fun Brain Game for the elderly or disabled. It can help improve your mental health and improve kids' attention span. It is easy enough to play but also challenging enough to keep you busy for hours. It is quick enough to play on a lunch break and this brain training workout will help sharpen your mind and improve your memory. Plus, you get to travel and see different places without ever having to leave your home! The word scramble mode is a challenging word puzzle game that puts your word skills to the test and provides tremendous brain challenging fun. For some people it may be easy peasy lemon squeezy, but for others (like myself) it can be quite difficult. It can be difficult but still fun to play, or fun in spite of being potentially difficult. I highly recommend this game to people of all ages. :) Show less

After playing the 60 min. demo:
1. Nice music that matches the theme of the game.

Very calming, somewhat simplistic HOG game, but that's ok, because it was a pleasant diversion. The problem is that after I bought it I only had a few more locations to play! I pretty much used up the whole game in the Demo. Disappointing!

Pity! because otherwise the game is enjoyable
I will recommend as some may not get as frustrated as me!

I have a lot of respect for this developer, but I have to be honest and call it like I see it...some of these scenes were so blurry it made the game graphically challenging to play! Some scenes were so blurry that it became downright annoying to play! What really sent me over the edge was the fact that using the Magnifier to try to clarify these fuzzy objects made it even more maddening! The magnifier was painstakingly slow to respond and lagged behind the cursor at a Lazy Turtle speed rate, as I moved the Rabbit-cursor to the left, I'd have to wait for several seconds until the Lazy-Turtle Magnifier would decide to catch up to the area my cursor was on...as the Father-Timer was tick, tick, ticking down, and the only thing the magnifier managed to do was accentuate the blurriness and the frustration level of those blurry scenes even more!
The weird part was that not every scene was blurry, but none of the scenes were all that interesting either. I've never been to Japan, but I've seen some beautiful scenery on movies, television, and artwork and I could probably take a dart and throw it at any one of those virtual images and choose a better random scene than some of the dark drab visually unappealing one's chosen here...just saying, isn't this game all about representing the country the Hudson family is Traveling To? Who travels all the way to Japan to pick up a used baby pacifier at a train station?
You can play in a Relaxed Untimed Mode or a Timed Mode which gives you 10-Minutes to complete each level. In my opinion, they need to include a Challenge Mode which only gives you 5-Minutes and deducts points for misclicks. You will earn a single star on each HO location and the next location requires 2-3 stars to unlock it so you will need to replay the previous scenes in order to earn enough stars to progress.
Each scene has a Lazy Turtle to discover (once you find him he won't appear when you replay the same scene) and there are trivia facts before visiting each location. The Lazy Turtle was added two games ago but I don't understand why he is just a cheap plastic generic turtle and not the actual Lazy Turtle Logo which is one of the most adorable logos, in my opinion, of an adorable turtle wearing a sombrero and leaning up against a palm tree. If they used a transparent image of this logo and hid it in each scene it would be so much better and make much more sense! (free advertising too, never hurts) There are no misclick penalties and you can replay the scenes as often as you'd like, but each time the style changes between Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, and my favorite, Scrambled Letter finds. (which ain't as easy as you'd think) My biggest gripe is that the items remain in the same position every time you repeat the scene, and most of the time you are tasked with finding the same items over and over. Anyone can master a Hidden Object Scene if they stare at the same pattern 10 times in a row, right?
