Almost everyone knows that I am a Jigsaw Puzzle Geek at heart, and although Roads of Life was an amazing puzzle adventure, A Lost Story took me on an unforgettable journey. Yes, this is a journey experience, beautifully illustrated by Jeremy Adams and synced with amazing music scores by Alec Shea, to completely immerse you as the story unfolds, puzzle by puzzle.

There is 20 Jigsaw Puzzles total and each puzzle can be customized with several options. You can play in a Timed or Relaxed Mode, choose the Puzzle Shape (Traditional-Mozaic-Arrow) and the Number of Pieces (28-112-220-500-1000) You can choose where you want the puzzle pieces to be displayed (top-bottom-left-right-or any combination such as top & bottom) and where you want the cursor to grab the puzzle piece (such as the center of the puzzle piece)

The options don't end with the puzzle pieces! You can choose to display Grid Lines on the puzzle and then adjust the color, transparency, and thickness of the grid lines. You can choose the Background and then adjust the transparency and sharpness of the background. You can Ghost the puzzle's Image and adjust the opaqueness.

We're still not done with the options folks! You can Show/Hide the Timer, select the Zoom Speed (1x-2x-3x) choose to Outline the puzzle pieces (Soft-Medium-Hard) which make the pieces more defined and easier to see. They have now labeled the option feature icons when you move the cursor over them such as Change Background, Hint, Shuffle, Restart, and the Exit icons.

This has just about everything I have ever wanted in a puzzle and more. It automatically saves my progress, I can download the images from the Gallery, it even has a Hidden Challenging Puzzle! The only two features I'd love to see added would be a section to download my own images, and I would like it if the puzzle pieced made a clicking sound when they were correctly placed so I knew it was in the right place immediately. I can't wait for my third adventure!

I've tried a lot of jigsaw games over the years. All of them have been basically annoying. This game is the BEST jigsaw simulation I have played. Although in the mode in which I demoed this puts all the pieces "right side up" that doesn't take away from any of the fun or challenge of placing a jigsaw piece in a 3D setting. And the artwork is EXQUISITE.

I have a strong feeling that this series will be very successful. It brings us a great puzzle package with lots of features that we jigsaw lovers have been wanting forever. This developer seems to know what it takes when it comes to creativity and quality.

I didn't care much for Roads of Life because the pictures were too dark and it slowed everything to a snail's pace for me. With it being so difficult to see, I didn't finish the demo. This time, however, it was a positive experience and I bought A Lost Story.

With all the features and options available, I can't imagine any puzzle nut finding something negative about it. The artwork is divine with its beautiful images and the dark isn't so overwhelming this time for me. The Zoom feature is super helpful and the Outline options give the pieces more definition, making assembly much easier on the eyes. There isn't a mega amount of puzzles but with the range of sizes available (up to 1000 pieces), I can see great replay value here.

I like how the story was emerging with each new puzzle.The music though beautiful, I can do without. The click of the puzzle pieces, I cannot. The sound is important to me because it indicates that I found the right place for the piece. Silly, but a necessity! I love the Timed Mode for extra challenge sometimes, I enjoy Relaxed because I can take my sweet time rearranging the pieces before I start assembly.

It has been a fun experience so far and being able to save my progress when I need a break is a crucial option that is much appreciated. There are so many things I love about this game, I'm glad other fishies will cover more territory in their reviews than I am able to. Glad I gave A Lost Story a chance, since I was a little underwhelmed with Roads of Life.

With A Lost Story, Puzzle Pieces 2 and Jigsaws Galore, I am in Jigsaw Heaven! Thanks dev, for this fun & challenging treat. I hope you will be back with more beautiful journeys, we need you!! Show less

This is another great game for jigsaw lovers.

This is another great game for jigsaw lovers.

There are options here to satisfy most. If I was going to pick on anything is that I always start with my edges and would love a feature to sort the edges out but that's just me.

Another small tip if you did want to get the most out of your demo and to give a better idea as to what other beautiful images lie ahead is to start off with the least number of pieces then you should get quite in to the game before your demo time runs out.
You can always start again with many more pieces once you have decided to buy..

Loved this, gave it 4 stars because it needs to be a little more user friendly. We work so hard on the puzzles and aren't given much of a chance to see them. Slow down a bit and not automatically move on so fast.

I played ‘My Jigsaw Adventures: The Source of Power,’ and enjoyed it, so I thought I would backtrack and try ‘A Lost Story.’ The story was pretty basic, but certainly sufficed. The art work would be great, on a wall, at a distance, but the large brush stroke blurry aspect and the large amount of dark, muddy colours, especially the fifty shades of purple, was frustrating and too hard to do. I put the grid on and the muted picture on a green background which helped a lot to see the pieces shapes, but gave my eyes an after image of purple/magenta, which probably didn’t help with differentiating among the multitude of purplish looking pieces. I don’t mind sorting pieces as that’s what jigsaws are about, but, when I had to quit because my eyeballs were in need of a rest, the game saved loose pieces in place if I sorted by colour, but did not save loose pieces in place sorted by shape, and I had to rely on shape near the end because so many pieces were dark and had very little picture definition. Note: if you finish and a piece is missing press the shuffle button and the piece will show up as it’s just hiding, sometimes in plain sight (on top of the puzzle). I did finish the game, but got increasingly dismayed by the colour choices. Show less

I was excited when I saw this game and all the great reviews. I am not sure how this got so many 5 star reviews. They must have 10 times the eyesight I have. The backgrounds are so dark I cannot even see the puzzle pieces more less figure out where they would go.
