A new DU game is an automatic buy for me, and I actually waited up for the game launch so I could download it immediately before going to bed. I love this series, and have been waiting for the fourth game ever since Elephant Games hinted on Facebook that it was in the works.

Agent Brown is my absolute favorite of the three detectives, so I was immediately caught by the idea that the game centered around him being missing. My beloved Agent? What happened? I've watched the entirety of Mystery Trackers: Raincliff, so I already knew his family history (which has been altered slightly here, but it's not as much of a distraction as I might have feared) and I was eager to see the story unfold. I loved how Anna, James, and Agent Shade were all clearly concerned for their missing friend and how determined they were to find him and bring him home safely.

If I tried to list everything I enjoyed about the game, we'd be here for entirely too long. Simply put, if you're enjoying this series, you're going to want to play this next installment. I'm so glad it's continuing and I can't wait for #5! Show less

No weird items to place. The relaxing smooth gameplay has me Loving this game. Enjoyed collecting the 13 morphing hats and puzzle pieces. The Expedition Room will take you to a collectible that you missed. Love finding all 68 morphs in the Secret Room.

Love the floral themed achievements room and I got all of them. Loved all the hops and mini-games. My favorite mini-game was placing the tubes ...Show more

Love that the guide has much improved items like the matching pairs in the hop and you can access the guide without playing.

Replay 14 hops, 13 mini-games and 4 music. Has 4 Chapters + bonus, Achievements, Secret Room, Expedition Room, Hat collection, Picture Pieces (my screensavers didn't work) and 5 wallpaper that I won't use. I rather scenes without characters. Show less

I get so tired of people complaining that the games are not to their liking. "Its not challenging enough", Its too boring", Its too hard to see", and on and on and on. Good game. I enjoyed it even thou Nothing to exciting happened .I followed along easily but still entertaining. Not the spooking vibe as the others.
Was a short game or either that I'm getting better at finding things. Seem to have less items to find so that maybe why it seemed short.
The bonus round was different but still good. Seem more to find in the bonus round.

i really enjoy this game ..love the music the graphics the puzzles so much to do.... finding the hats a bit hard to find but there is no rush love the scenery in this game it is a game to me that draws you in I find it hard to exit the game ...but work has to be done.

I like Elephant games. Except for the fact this developer is exceptionally "emblem heavy", they usually put out a fun 7 hours. And they did so here...BUT, in the final edit the devs need to pay attention to detail. I have this complaint with many other games and developers. One overseen detail can ruin the whole game. Now, in the first opening scene we are hit with a junk pile HOP. That was actually kinda cool, no match-3 option, but the variant on the game made it fun, not frustrating. We get to play two different characters- again, makes it interesting and fun. The graphics are quite good, even though that Detectives United Badge is a bit over the top. If a cop wore a badge that size, he couldn't eat his doughnut! Here's my beef... just two scenes into the game I hit a machine that needs coinage. OK, I get it, seen it before. Now the dialogue box says "Roseville Currency Needed", but the machine says "Restville Currency Only". Nothing in this game is designated "Roseville". C'mon now, I spent good money on this. Lack of attention to detail and poor attention in the last stages of production. Sorry, but those minor details really bother me. But, play it, it's fun. I recommend it, unless you're OCD like me about detail! LOL Happy New Year! Show less

The Pluses: The storyline is a lot better. The switching between characters is a lot more natural [in the 2nd & 3rd games it felt clunky]. There was less reliance on Special Magical Powers and more on solving a mystery & helping Brown. The puzzles were of reasonable difficulty and what HO scenes existed were pretty good. Overall it kept me interested and entertained. I have a real problem with having to play HO games in little half hour chunks and this one I would have played all the way through in one sitting had I not had to stop to buy it.

The Minuses: The main storyline is fairly short. The CE is a reasonable length, which makes up for it a bit, but if you're not a CE person I wouldn't get this game without a free game ticket or other drastic sale. A lot of the puzzle &/or HO scenes are replaced with "find the pairs" where you have to find 6 pairs of things, and it feels very lazy. Having one or two in a game is fine, having 5 or 6 [I lost count; this includes the Bonus game] is too many. The developer still has the issue where something is obviously needed to fix/add to/change an item/scene but it won't let you do it until something is done first, and they don't make it clear that you need to do something first - they just don't let you do it.

Also: The music for this game was horribly monotonous. At the very least I expected the music to switch between detectives.

I'm going to put that I recommend this game but beware of the issues I've mentioned, and read the other reviews, before you buy. Show less

I liked the game but there are a few glitches. I got to the attic in the bonus game and could not progress further. Then, I try to set the (lovely!) rose screen saver but it doesnt work. Those are my only complaints though, the game was solid overall.

Wasn't as challenging as I would have like... the mini games were all so simple... I love Anna in Grim Tales the best. This is a good twist on that though.... Good story line... If you like this series you will buy it... most def...
