I couldn't agree more with my friend Cyril48 because I have been waiting forever for a new Detective Agency Mosaic game. The first game blew my mind, and it was the only Mosaic game I've ever seen receive a solid 5-Star rating from 18 different reviewers!

I couldn't agree more with my friend Cyril48 because I have been waiting forever for a new Detective Agency Mosaic game. The first game blew my mind, and it was the only Mosaic game I've ever seen receive a solid 5-Star rating from 18 different reviewers!

You won't find a mosaic game with better graphics, more amazing color choices, options, or even a more interesting storyline. Detective Agency Mosaics is offered by the same developer who delivers us the Rainbow Mosaics series. The recent addition of a Tetris-style Mini-Game feature was simply ingenious!

You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the ?-question mark it will activate a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style) You can Skip this mini-game if you desire, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark at all, but the puzzle geek in me absolutely loves this feature!

There are 120 Mosaic Levels with 14 Tile Styles but I always seem to choose the Lego-style tile every time. There are two Cross-off X's choices and you can play in an Expert Mode that only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed. There are 10 Achievements to earn and all 120 levels are available in the Freeplay section once played in the main game.

As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase decorations for the Agency or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade, such as. The Dog power-up which opens a random right square, a Lightning power-up that opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, or the Lamp power-up that opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. The power-ups can be upgraded twice, each upgrade covers a larger area on the grid.

For those of you who have never played this type of game before, don't let it intimidate you. When I first started playing games I passed Mosaic puzzles up because they looked so complicated but it's one of the easiest games to learn and super relaxing to play. Mosaic games are not usually my cup of tea but I bought the first game and absolutely loved it and I like the addition of the detective scenario in these games.

There is a very good help section with this game and also the edition of mini games which are very challenging but you can skip them.

There is a very good help section with this game and also the edition of mini games which are very challenging but you can skip them.
You will come across question marks that when you click on them takes you to a mini game which consists of dragging different shaped blocks in to a area which you need to fill up to fit perfectly.
This is extremely challenging but as said earlier you can skip.

The mechanics are the same as the first one but that does not matter as the mosaics are different and the story is different.
I find this a very relaxing game with relaxing music and many tile options to choose.
Try the demo and see what you think . I know I will enjoy this. Show less

I love the colours, style of block, and the level of challenge (choose default or expert). The default setting isn't quite as 'casual' as almost all the other nanogram games on offer; eg, not overly easy like the Penguin series. I didn't try expert mode which I often prefer because I wanted to finish as many puzzles as I could in the time allowed.

The story is no thriller for sure but I really don't have anything to complain about either. You do have to read, no voiceovers, but dialogue is kept to a minimum. It reminded me of the Detective solitaire games, same sort of thing as far as story goes. It's an unnecessary extra for me personally.

Use the coins you earn to decorate your office or purchase power-ups (which look pretty generous so most any player can achieve a 3 star win each level by using one or two). You also earn some power-ups (hints) right after the first level so have help available to you right from the get-go.

I only encountered one minigame in the demo, a tetris type puzzle which I failed! I couldn't reset it so had to click on Skip in order to move on. I plan to purchase this game so will know better going forward -- not as simple and easy as most minigames usually are in these types of games so give them a little more thought. Or maybe (I hope!) I'm just rusty at tetris-like games after not playing one for many years :-)

If you're a fan of nanograms, I highly recommend that you give this game a try. I can hardly wait to get back to it! Show less

Although I prefer nonograms to be able to be solved with no guesswork, I really enjoyed this and you can use "hints" instead of guessing with no penalty. The need for hints was really minimal anyway. The images were solid/well done, and the story was intriguing. Bought this one.

It changed a few things from the first, but I consider them to be improvements - in particular, I'm very happy with the addition of an "undo" button as one of the optional hints to be employed. Please more story. Each slot you tell us a few sentences. You leave me hanging with so little information!! I feel so let down each time. Tell me the deceased's coat was blue. Describe the outfit the fortune teller wears. Please just some more info that makes me feel like I accomplished something!

However, after finishing the very last mosaic, as I was getting excited again to play the mini-game, across the screen displayed "CONTINUED..." I was gobsmacked! Don't even bother yourself! There's no conclusion to this game, and there is no Detective Agency Mosaics 3 to continue the game. ...Show more

As a lover of nonograms, I had to give this one a try - and I remembered immediately why I already didn't like the first one:
Getting constantly named a shooter, a marksman or a sniper and getting constantly told what great shots I landed and that I hit the bull's eye felt totally disgusting.

As a lover of nonograms, I had to give this one a try - and I remembered immediately why I already didn't like the first one:
