Actually « The Flaw and The Fall. Solitaire Murder Mystery » is one of the best solitaire card-detective game available here, if not the best one. Yes there is a timer (Hidden games) but it just add great challenge. In my humble opinion : don’t miss this game.

I enjoy playing games by this developer and I enjoy playing games in this series I would have given it 5* but I rated it 4* because I hate playing games with timers

This is a difficult one.
I actually quite liked this game , plenty of features but it just needs a bit of tweaking to make this an excellent game.

The timer on the HO games is a big no no for me and you should be able to turn this off as although the game does not stop when the time runs out I did not get all the clues so had to replay until I beat the timer. Not happy with that as I like to ...Show more

I have this set on a mixed game which randomly gives you 1 up 1 down, a pair match or add to 14. This would have been fine had it randomly selected at each game but it only does that for the whole of the level until you solve the level.
Missed opportunity there.
Although annoying I have purchased this game and am enjoying it despite it's flaws. Appropriate name of the game by the way as there are plenty of flaws.

The makings of a good game are there it just seems to be a bit rushed Show less

You can buy additional cards shown at bottom left of screen with earned coins. Collect 48 Clue Parts, can't assemble the clues until all parts are gathered. Reveal the suspect. The characters are at bottom right of screen, but I didn't play long enough to engage with them.

I did not care for the HOPs. Very dark, a mass of stuff, making items difficult to spot. Especially didn't like the "flashlight" method of searching. If you fail to find everything, you have to replay til you get it right in order to move on. Only one Hint available. I like detective-themed solitaire, gathering evidence, exposing the culprit but this one didn't have a good feel to it.

I know I'm missing a lot of the particulars here, but I ended the demo after 45 minutes. For me it was boring and I didn't want to play the HOPs. This could very well be a great solitaire but I wasn't interested enough to hang in there, to see if it got any better. There are plenty of levels, all replayable so it should last a good while. Hopefully you will enjoy it more than I did. Show less

I appreciate the fact that they have added different solitaire variations, such as Higher/Lower, Pair Match, and Sum 14 but the game is still flawed. There are so few deck cards and a ton of cards on the field to remove so two scenarios happen time and time again, you're forced to either use a power-up or replay the hand numerous times until you are completely bored, and because there aren't many deck cards it's nearly impossible to make large chains because you flip card after card and never get the ones you need until you get to the last 3-4 deck cards when it is too late. Removing 1 or 2 cards at a time just isn't fun...solitaire fans want to make large chains, not flip over worthless deck cards until they are all gone? Surely that makes sense?

You can choose Regular Simple Card Graphics or Themed Cards which have various police-related or investigative equipment on them, such as handcuffs, batons, computers, suspects, and detective agents.

The Investigation begins by playing Solitaire levels until you earn the required amount of "Clues" (48) which are square puzzle pieces. Once you have all the clues or puzzle pieces you play a mini-game puzzle variation of either rotating the squares or swapping squares to complete the image which "reveals" the criminal. Between Solitaire Levels you will play a Clutter-type Hidden Object Scene of various types, such as finding objects with just a small flashlight beam or finding objects that are presented one by one. The objects aren't always the same size or color as the pictured items. I noticed a lot of reviewers complaining about the timer in the HO scenes but I personally thought the timer gave you plenty of time to find the objects, however, I do see where this would be bothersome to solitaire fans who may not enjoy the forced, timed HO scenes.

Power Booster Cards are located at the bottom right as "Agents" that can be used once they charge. You can use them to Remove a Random Open Card or Remove a Random Closed Card by shooting them, or Add 2 Random Wild Cards to the field. Number-specific Wild Cards are available in just about every level and stored until you need that specific number, multiples of Wildcards are shown above the card slots as well.

There is only one type of Obstacle Card, Police Tape Cards that require uncovering the Search Warrant to remove the tape. The "Good Luck-Bad Luck Cards have returned and they are on most levels. Good Luck Cards will reward you with Coins, Bad Luck Cards disable one of the Booster Agents for the entire level.

I love this Murder Mystery concept but it definitely has a few flaws that need to be improved. (including the blue-faced detectives? If the solitaire game itself were tweaked to give more deck cards and a better chance of making long chains, I will be the first one to give this series a 5-star review. I was all excited to see a combination game of HO and solitaire. Love playing both. BUT, I happened to read the reviews before downloading and changed my mind. I HATE games with timers. I enjoy relaxing and light challenging games that don't add stress. Timers turns on the stress button the minute I start playing.

I agree with previous reviewers that the timer is unwelcome when you want to play for fun (and supposed relaxation). In addition, the backgrounds of minigames are so dark it is difficult to see objects. This game could be great, but as is, a "no" for me.

Mandatory timer and no option for turning off the noise, that is supposed to pass as music, make this a no purchase right up front.
