The first two installments were really fun and a very welcomed change from the Walkers. The music is lovely and includes one of the lilting tunes from Daydream Mosaics that I adore. There are waves lapping against the shore, a nice touch, and more. None of it breaks your concentration and volume is adjustable.
The story again features the dwarf, the terrible cat and the wise owl. It revisits the enchanted forest with a goal to reach and provides some humor along the way. The 140 levels in our quest aren't so EZ-PZ as in most other mosaics games. So your strategy skills are put to test and you have to pay closer attention. It requires replays for me but where's the fun without challenge?
There are 4 difficulty modes including Intuitive which takes you into Zen Mode. I always opt for Normal in the demo. but you can change whenever. I like the time display, but you're not playing beat the clock. The puzzles can all be replayed and I think there is a skip feature but I didn't check into that.
There are 4 recharging power tools, you start with 2 free mistakes, more available with larger puzzles. The tools and options are just enough to provide help without diluting the challenge. The 12 tile choices are not outstanding, but it doesn't really matter. The inclusion of 12 unique background tiles is what makes it fun and interesting and, for me, helps my gameplay. The options of light and dark background is a nice feature, the dark is easier on my eyes..
The beautiful animated graphics are full of color. Grids are big and easy to make out with no squinting involved, great for my imperfect vision. Some palette colors are deceiving and once on the grid they are quite different, with little distinction between colors to avoid mistakes. The other negative is no Save option. I think it should always be available in mosaic games. It is not always convenient to stay with a puzzle to its end, a break is needed without penalty.
The demo was limited with just 2 mistakes and few colors to work with. I know that all changes as the grids become larger, but it created those dreaded replays which I always want to avoid. This is truly an enjoyable mosaics game, that I think will gain lots of fans as it makes more appearances on BF. I hope they become a permanent contributor to this genre but don't get crazy with their visits, like the penguins, and can keep the game fresh with it's cute stories and change it up once in a while to avoid boredom.
Jet Dogs does a great job with Legendary Mosaics and thank goodness they are here to entertain us. This was an instant buy for me. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as I did. Show less

I just love this series of mosaic games. The level of challenge really makes it fun. When the game is too easy it is just boring. I hope they will keep on making them. I am ready when you are.
I recommend this game!

I'm not gonna lie, I've never been a fan of the Walker family Mosaic games. I hated the cartoon sloth and the boring idea of decorating the Walker living room with ridiculous souvenirs on a shelf. I hated the bouncy, glittery tiles that reminded me of gummy bears, I didn't enjoy the constant bells and whistles of all the hoopla every time I filled in a cell, much less completing a group of cells. ...Show more
I'm not gonna lie, I've never been a fan of the Walker family Mosaic games. I don't play Mosaic games to get wound up, I play them to relax and wind down, so I was thrilled when Jet Dogs decided to ditch MOST of the hoopla...but for the life of me, I just don't understand why they still feel the need to include all the flashy tiles when you complete a group? Why can't you include an option to shut that off as well for those of us who don't enjoy seizures?
There are 12 different Tile Options like legos, fabric, and lunar, one of my favorites looks like dew drops. If that isn't impressive, there's also 12 Crossed-off (X's) designs to choose from as well, such as Aztec, pawprints, rope knots, and spirals and there's even a Dark Background mode. They included a 5 x 5 Grid which allows you to see what each tile selection or combination you chose will look like in the game. I do think it's kinda funny that you get all these tile options but they don't have a Custom Cursor option??
There are several Difficulty Mode options, you can play in an Easy Mode which automatically chooses the color for you, a Normal Mode which crosses off the numbers one by one, a Difficult Mode that crosses off numbers once an entire row or column has been completed, or an Intuitive Mode which is a Zen mode that doesn't count mistakes and allows you to work out the puzzle by changing selections.
You earn Crystals for completing the mosaics, a Blue Crystal for making no mistakes, a Green Crystal for making one mistake, and a Yellow Crystal for making 2 mistakes. At the end of each chapter, you must earn a minimum Yellow status to progress to the next chapter, and you must earn a Green or Blue crystal status to access the 4 Bonus Levels per chapter. To earn a Blue Crystal Status on a Chapter as a whole, you must earn a Blue status on all mosaics within the level. There are 14 Chapters (10 levels each with 4 Bonus Chapters)
On the Mosaic Grids themselves, there is an Eye that hides the grid, a Color Palette to choose the color bubbles, a Finger or X tab to color or cross-off cells (right & left-clicking works too), and a Heart with the number of Lives or Mistakes available (you can earn more lives by correctly filling in cells)
There is a tab to access the tile selections as well which allows you to switch choices easily. There are only 2 Power-ups available, a Sun icon that fills in a single cell, or a Hammer which fills in a 5-cell (outlined) radius. The power-ups refill by uncovering hammers and suns on the mosaics. Join us on my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net Show less
