Where are the locked and hidden tiles?

For me I usually get bored very quickly with mahjong but these games add a new dimension to it.

The first game came out 5 years ago and when I saw this I was excited to see another game.
For me I usually get bored very quickly with mahjong but these games add a new dimension to it.

A big difference for me in the traditional game was that the first one had locked tiles and hidden tiles but this has all gone now and it is just a traditional game which I found disappointing, It made the traditional game more entertaining for me.
You now have an extra mode which I love, the cube, which is a 3d version and does become very challenging but hit the end cube before you clear the board and you have to start again.

My favorite and most challenging for me is the sliders where you need to move cubes around the board to connect.

There is a hint and a shuffle so you can't really not finish a level which some will like and some may not. For me I like this feature as there was nothing worse in a normal game to spend a long time on a level to then end up with not being able to match any more and need to restart.

No timer or limited moves which again some may not like but fine for me, I find this game very relaxing.

In the classic mode you can change the board layouts plus you can change the tiles .

So you have 7 modes
Traditional
Slide
Cube
Numbers
Rivers
Match
Triple
On top of this you can go in to the classic mode where you can select many different layouts.
This will provide me with many hours of relaxation in these stressful times.
Bear in mind you have to start with the traditional mode (Temple) then you get keys which unlock other temples but it did not take me long to have them all unlocked as the levels start off rather easy which for me was a good thing.

Once in a blue moon I write a review on a mahjong game, but this one is definitely worth a shout out. It is grand, just as the original Legendary Mahjong was. I own a few great mahjongs from long ago, but as they became simpler and themes were added they became less entertaining.

With the shortage of adult games on BF, thought I'd give this a try and it did not disappoint. The 60 minute demo was not long enough to enjoy much of the game but it was fun. Don't expect to just breeze through the levels. The challenge grows as you progress and the boards enlarge, your logic and strategy skills will soon be needed. Some players may be put off by this, but the options of re-do and shuffle make the game fun for all.

With over 500 levels this massive game should last "forever", especially considering the time it takes to clear the boards. Keep in mind though, that clearing the two Gold Tiles ends the level. I managed to have no trouble with that, by using re-do and shuffle to help me out. There are 7 temples, each with a different mode which are Traditional, Rivers, Triple, Cube, Numbers, Slides, Match. Cube is new in the Temple of Beauty. Recalling the original Legendary Mahjong, Slides was not fun for me. It was too frustrating with its unique challenge.

Once you unlock all the temples, which must be completed in order, you can skip around and play whichever variation as often as you like. The boards and tiles are nice and big making it easy to distinguish the designs. Some are very similar so be careful to avoid a boo-boo. Errors are easily undone, as I was relieved to find. The layouts change and the boards grow, adding more interest and challenge as you progress. All temples come with clear instructions, with an option to stop the tutorials if so desired. There is a Score Board and a Ranking Gauge. 3 stars to earn for each level and no timer.

Hope you enjoy Legendary Mahjong 2. It was an instant buy after the fun demo. Give it a try if a stranger to this genre. Show less

I say 'with benefits' because it's not your typical Mahjong game. As you progress, different puzzle elements come into play requiring strategic thinking to beat the level. There are also helpful bonuses.

There are 7 temples, each with a different variation. You start with traditional Mahjong and after a few easy levels you get a key to unlock the next temple, and so on. I found that I could unlock all temples within the demo time. Once unlocked, you can play any variation you feel like. I'm very happy to see the return of the Slide variation and the new one, Cube, is fun.

You can change settings in a level - different tile sets, backgrounds, coloured layers. Graphics are lovely.

With hundreds of levels and some brain-bending Slide fun, entertainment is guaranteed for a long time! Show less

I enjoy playing games through this developer and I played the first game this was complicated as I progressed and the same with the second game both were complicated as I progressed and this was a plus because both games got me thinking about actions

I recommend this game!

I only played the demo version, but wow this game has so much to offer, I love it.
It can also be a very good teaching game as well, there is one temple that requires the person to pick tiles that add up to a certain number, so if they show you 15 you have to pick two tiles that equal 15 and so on, and if they show u a two no you can not just pick the number two tile :-)

Finished all three levels of the other shrines. I cannot proceed because Rivers level 67 freezes when you click the last button.
Deleted, reloaded, etc. Block shrine was interesting but the others did not present a challenge.

To be fair I'm not normally a fan of Mahjong but I really enjoyed the first game in this series. This edition however was lacking the extraordinary features of its predecessor which stood out in a crowd.

There are 7 temples with 7 Mahjong variants (Traditional-Match-Slide-Cube-Triple Layers-Numbers-River) A Key must be uncovered during one variant before another temple can be unlocked. You can earn up to three gold stars and I have to warn you that the goal isn't to remove the gold tiles as quickly as possible, you will have to remove all other tiles before removing the gold tile(s) or you will not fill the star meter.

The First Temple has a Traditional Mahjong variant where you simply match tiles and remove the 2 gold tiles when finished.

The second Temple has a Match Mahjong variant where you match tiles on the board with those shown in the frame at the bottom. You can remove more than one tile if there are multiples as well.

The third Temple has a Slide Mode where the goal is to slide free Mahjong tiles until they bump into their matching tile to eliminate them. Now this may sound easy, but you will have to use other tiles as bumpers in order to get the tiles into position, and the 3D layers of some layouts will cause the tile to drop down instead of sliding.

My rivers mode also froze . So frustrating because it was my favorite part of the game,

I would have liked this game very much but as I progressed to higher levels there started to be so many bugs that it was no longer nice to play, so I deleted the game because of that.

I don't recommend this game.
