Not a bad little game; a bit repetitive for the first few levels, which was as much as I could tolerate.

Not a bad little game; a bit repetitive for the first few levels, which was as much as I could tolerate.

Pretty basic builder-type TM, which I won't buy as a CE because it's not different enough. The usual wood/food/stone producing buildings, along with a lab and an HQ. The usual collecting wood/food/stone to reach certain goals. 3 levels of play including relaxed and you can turn off the tutorial; you won't need it anyway. You do get two bases to work from, which is a slight change but otherwise nothing to make it stand out from the crowd.

The reason I won't even buy the SE is that every time you send a worker to do anything, they say 'OK. Every time they pick up a resource. Every time they remove an obstacle. Every time they build or upgrade a building. Send 2 or more workers out to do something and you get an 'OK' chorus. After about half a dozen levels, it got so irritating that I had to stop playing. I don't want to turn the entire sound off as it spoils the atmosphere of the game but there's no option to stop the workers from speaking. This could have been a good game but unfortunately it's just repetitive and annoying. Show less

Well this is actually a star or two above what I generally rate games from this developer because at least they are trying hard to do better. And even though this is not part of a series, we mostly all know the style of this game, so I will keep it brief and just lock in the key points:

Well this is actually a star or two above what I generally rate games from this developer because at least they are trying hard to do better. And even though this is not part of a series, we mostly all know the style of this game, so I will keep it brief and just lock in the key points:

What's new (for a change)
-You are operating out of two base camps often
-There are lucky dip treasure chests along the road
-there are more characters to rid along the pathway
-The timers are circles not a numbered countdown
-The characters turn and applaud you at levels end
-the speed bonus is SUPER fast

What's improved:
-The animation has stepped up a notch. The buildings are cute and colourful, and the workers look almost realistic. (There is a thief that actually looks very shady lol)
-Waiting for resources is much improved (not a lot of idle gaps)

What's the same:
-The tasks do become quite the same things, very standard requirements of stocking up on one resource or creating certain level on a particular building.
-The sense of not much warmth nor 'excitement' in the game. (Getting better at it though)
-Lots of levels

This is not a bad offering, but personally I don't think I would even buy the SE let alone the CE. It would still feel like a chore wading through the generous amount of levels offered task after task..

There are three modes of play including relaxed, but really unless you just like watching tiny characters picking up stuff and building, the strategy is not too impressive. As long as you upgrade and build everything you will make the time. You know its liable to need a lot of wood when you see three sawmills on the level or food with three mills

Try the demo. As a stand alone game its ok. For me its still a pass, but I hope this developer keeps making the effort and tweaking their games and I may go back to purchasing them like I did way back when they were novel and changing constantly. Show less

I get that BF is trying to find a new "niche" by offering every game genre imaginable in a Collector's Edition version (and double their $$) but where are your morals, Felix? If you're going to require these poor developers to offer CE's (when chances are they would prefer not to) at least hold them to a bare minimum higher standard!

As for the game, you've already played it! Collect twigs, collect a fruit basket that's been laying out in the middle of the desert for who knows how long, while I'm on a roll, who in the sand sphinx left a trail of fruit in the first place? Shouldn't I be following the trail to find the kidnapped victim? Nope, instead, I'm going to build 4 Sawmills (again, keep in mind we're out in the middle of a desert) and collect a hundred piles of twigs even though there's clearly not a tree in sight for miles & miles. Ohhhh, and then just when I think it can't get more ridiculous, I have to build a few rock quarries...

I quit the demo just before repairing the boat docks so I can fish for food. Show less

I really LOVE time management games and this one was OK... i liked the fact you operated from 2 camps - well done for coming up with something different... and i would have purchased it BUT...that ever so annoying to the point of nearly screaming......little "OK" voice...EVERY time you do anything!!! Really??? Is that necessary?. It was a complete deal-breaker for me!!!

If you have played any of the really high quality and challenging TM games at BF, you probably won't be satisfied with this one either - most especially as a CE. Even on sale, I wouldn't buy it and uninstalled it. The only way I'd get this one is with a free game coupon, but it's so generic and boring that I'm not sure I'd even do that. I think I'll go back to my current Viking Brothers game instead. I really am surprised that this game was released at a CE. Why?? Show less

Pretty standard TM game, not sure it should labeled as a Collector's Edition. On level 39 there is no way to complete it. It requires a subway but there is no way to get to lab. Very disappointed I wasted my money.

I don't recommend this game.

Based on demo. reminds me of D Day, without the level of challenge and the progress of this game. No real strategy. No fun

What a shame. This game had potential, but someone on staff had the idea to make the sound say, "Okay" every time you click on a task for your character to do. No way to stop it. The game has to be played in silence unless you just want to hear some terrible music. What a cryin' shame!

I was so bored. Trialed into it about 6 games and couldn't make myself do any more. Same thing over and over. Basically and nothing new or fun. After every move they say ok and it's like scratching fingernails on a chalk board. Irritating! I wish games like Gardens Inc and such would come back into the games. Not worth it for the money!

I don't recommend this game.
