I like games if they make me want to play again. I don't expect them to put me on edge of my seat. Then again I'm low key and easily entertain since I don't take myself to seriously or think everything insults my intelligent.
One does search for items but not to bad. Couple of the bonus games I could not figure out and skipped but most are easy enough. Graphics were good along with the scenes .
The bonus finds were a little hard to find in some scenes but not that bad plus one can go back and find the ones you missed after the games are done. .
Bonus part was good with a good length .
Try it out first before buying. If you like it the rest of the game is the same, to me it was.
Not for the experts.

I really liked this game from GrandMA Studios, to be honest. I have not played a single game from this developer, but I can say that it impressed me.
First of all, there are beautiful and charming locations that you can stare at for a long time. And secondly - interesting and also beautiful characters. I really liked Beatrice, who plays violin.
Yes, we are again saving the world from universal evil, but here it does not look like “oh, saving the world again”, and this is done in other way. That is, you are interested in observing the story, fortunately, this is not a parallel world, not another reality, but an ordinary city where you travel around the apartments of suspects and look for evidence there, so to speak.
Something like a detective, but not pure, with an admixture of paranormal activity. I’m tired of all mysticism and I want a pure detective, but I really liked how they beat this matter in this game.
There is no horror, nothing dark and terrible. Just something mysterious to get rid of, that's all. Well, the criminal, of course, has not gone away, it needs to be discovered and caught red-handed.
Thanks to the chicly painted locations, interesting characters and the relatively easy search for items with mini-games, playing was simple and enjoyable. Passed the game in an instant.
In the main part of the game there are 20 locations, and it takes 2.5 hours to complete. The bonus chapter consists of 7 locations (some of which are repeated from the main part), and you will complete it in 40 minutes.
As a result, the entire collector's edition takes place in just over 3 hours.
But you know, the bonus chapter is so cute and interesting that it’s worth taking a collector’s edition for it. No evil. No saving the world. We just help the girl find her talent, and it's so sweet that I would like two such bonus chapters. Give me two! And please give us MORE similar games like this bonus part.
After the completion of the bonus, it is definitely "five" stars. I really like location rooms, beautiful night streets of the city... and this game have this all! We can see how talented people live... And I can glean something from interior design. The rooms are really very beautiful. I wish I had some of them.
There are 29 cut-scenes of videos in the game (25 in the main part and 4 in the bonus).
Also 14 achievements. It’s easy to get them, except for one - “Complete the HO scene without a single mistake.” To get this achievement, it is better to go through the very first scene of the search in the fountain without mistakes, otherwise it will be very difficult to get further. Alternatively, make a backup of the save file, go through HO scene and remember it, and then just use the save and re-pass it without making mistakes. So you can get the achievement that way.
In the game there are only 10 hidden object scenes (actually 11, but in one location we are looking for them 2 times) and 11 mini-games.
I was pleased with the music, it has a variety, because there are as many as 8. There are usually 4 or 5 music tracks in HOPA games, but here devs having a field day. And I like it! The music is really exciting, especially the composition with the violin.
And of course, 8 backgrounds and 8 concept arts. I really like to admire the backgrounds and concepts, so it seems to me that 8 is a very small amount. I WANT EVERYTHING!
In general, if we talk about bonuses of collector’s edition, it would not hurt to add a developers diary, all sorts of videos from the development, and a bunch of interesting things behind the scenes. This could justify the high price of the collector's edition, and add even more bonuses, unlike the standard edition. I don’t know why this is not done, but I hope the developers will hear us.
At all locations, we collect one photo and one morphing object on each. A total of 56 items. If we collect everything, an additional scene for a hidden objects will open.
Also, on some zoom locations, palettes are hidden for which you can buy paints and paint a picture. I still did not understand how to color it correctly, perhaps in any way, because we paint it for our pleasure and whatever. Only 42 palettes in the game. I collected 40, but don’t worry, this is not Elephant Games, here we can go back and collect what we missed. I think this is a very good bonus.
To summarize, I recommend. At a discount, of course, but I definitely recommend it.
And yes, the bonus chapter is too sweet, too cute, too great. I even want to replay it, I have not seen anything like that so long, honestly.

Supernatural cases are lots of fun. I like this game because it is not complex and moves along at a comfortable pace, the tasks are not tedious.
The game runs smoothly, the colors are vivid, and the graphics though not so modern looking, are sharp and appealing to me. I enjoyed the nice variety of HOPs and the mini games were not so complex as to cause frustration. I am not a puzzle fan, really, but some of them are very good.
I don't buy many games these days because they are so laden with puzzles. I want more story and adventure. This game was more do-able for me, but 26 is still too many IMO. More HOPs would have been nice. But overall I really enjoyed this game and I didn't mind that it was not a terribly long game. If the quality is there, being short is just fine by me. Some games are too long and become painfully boring sometimes.
The amount of collectibles were easy to find, I especially liked collecting the palettes for painting a picture at the end of game and always love the achievements. I never like gimmicks, but the tattoo here was not unbearable. Can't report on the Bonus Chapter, not quite there yet. I'm hoping it to be a continuation, rather than an entirely different story because I don't feel one chapter is enough time for a satisfying story.
Grandma Games has always provided me with quality entertainment and "Ominous Talent" has proven to be another goodie for my collection. Thank you. Show less

Hello friends! As usual, I review mostly on the game play and leave the story line to others. Colors started out with a lot of blues and pinks, which are quite hard and tiring on the eyes, but then cleaned up a bit. Still, in some cases, the colors were almost too bright. Graphics were fairly nice in this one. Didn't notice much blurring at all. Voices were age and character appropriate and actually had some emotion and urgency, depending on what was happening at the time. We did occasionally have to choose dialogue, which I find quite boring, since You have to ask all three questions anyway. We can click through dialogue if we read faster than they speak. Game play was very good, with no problems during the demo. Animation was fairly smooth. Music was okay. Sound FX were fairly nice when we had them. Again, we have supernatural powers, which seemed out of place on occasion.
HOGs are nothing new, we have interactive HOGs. A bit more variety would have made this a much better game. Scenes are fairly clean and items were not difficult to find. You can switch to a match 3 if you get bored. The puzzles were very simple and took no time or though to complete, with the exception of one. Hint system is helpful, but we do not have the transport feature, unless it shows up later in the game. I've had that happen with other games. We do have a lot of back tracking in this one.
Collectibles are a bit disappointing. All I found was that we have 54 photos, two in each scene. One is stationary and the other morphs, but neither is difficult to find. We also have paint pallets to collect. These double as money to buy paint to complete a paint by the number picture. These are a little small, but still can easily be seen...just remember to look for them.
The story line is nothing new, but I found myself really getting into it by the time the demo ended. This game is not challenging, but you are constantly on the move and there is enough character interaction to keep you interested. Looks like someone read the reviews on the beta and made a few changes along the way. I think most level of players will find something good about this one. I found the story interesting enough to make me want to play it out and see where it's going. Yes, I am adding this one to my CE collection. I'm sticking with my beta score of 4.0 on this one, mostly because of the colors.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Play on! Show less

REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME
5 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide:39 pages
OPINION: Awaken your muse! You are off to Italy to investigate a photography exhibition. Play Nathaniel, a supernatural detective off on another adventure, this time involving the disappearance of several art critics. A group of muses are involved in these mysterious disappearances and it is up to you to locate the culprit. Hopefully your investigation will lead to a picture-perfect solution.

This is a great game for the entire family. Although less than picture-perfect, it is a decent play. It is a short game; nevertheless, I enjoyed playing it. It has a good pace with some creatively designed HOP scenes and mini-games. However, there are not very many of either one. Nevertheless, I would rather play a quality short game than one which is long, drawn out, and boring. The story is a tale of a group of muses who use special artifacts to provide some “muse power” in battling an evildoer in their midst. You receive a gimmicky tattoo on your arm which allows you to use your supernatural powers to investigate this case. However, this device is not used often in the game. The only complaint I have concerning the game are the graphics, which are somewhat dated.
The collectibles are morphing objects, pictures, and paint pallets. Most are easy to locate. The paint pallets are exchanged to purchase paints to color a picture available at the end of the game. Most are easy to locate. You must also collect all the pictures to play a final HOP scene at the end of the game.
There are fourteen (14) HOP scenes along with several mini-HOP scenes which require searches for 5 or 6 items. They vary in style including lists of items, silhouette scenes, search and replace scenes, storybook scenes, and matching scenes. They are interactive. My favorite scene is one in which the player must locate four (4) each of three (3) landmarks on a map, some which require some interaction within the scene. At the end of the game you can view your time and accuracy for each HOP scene.I feel this is a nice touch.

There are twenty-six (26) mini-games, eleven of which can be replayed at the end of the game. Since the game deals with art, there are several picture puzzles within the game. The puzzles vary in difficulty; however, I found most easy or of moderate difficulty.

MECHANICS:
• Four (4) levels of play including a customized version.
• 15 achievements.
• Collect 42 art palettes to purchase paints to color a final picture
• Collect 54 photos and morphing objects. Collect all to open an additional HOP scene
• 8 Wallpapers along with concept art, music and video sequences
• You can view the amount of time played and accuracy in the HOP scenes at the end of the game.
• Gimmicky tattoo on your arm to rev up psychic powers
• Replay 11 mini-games and 11 HOP scenes
BONUS CHAPTER: I found the story within the bonus chapter excellent, especially for children. It is another story. Play Alonso Ricci from the main story. You are offered a job as an art teacher. Help a young muse, a girl whose interests and abilities lie in another direction than those from other students in her school. I found this an excellent addition to the game. The story is well-written. Continue collecting the collectibles from the main game. My only complaint is the repetitious mini-game which involves using a paint brush to locate “traces” within a scene. It is used several times within the chapter and requires nothing more than clicking on some gray areas within the scene. It is more of a HOP scene than a mini-game. This mini-game seemed like filler to me.
SPOILERS: HERE ARE SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES AFTER THE DEMO:
A. Map puzzle.Multiple step. (1) Lead a car to its destination by pressing arrows at the appropriate time . If you make a mistake you begin anew. (2) Press stop and start buttons to move your car through traffic while avoiding a collision.
B. Sequence puzzle. Press on 4 lock pieces in the correct order to open a lock to a door.
C. Picture puzzle. Rotate picture parts then use arrows to align them into position to restore an image.
D. Connection puzzle. Connect dots on a phone as per a given pattern to open it.
E. Checkers puzzle. Have tokens jump over each other until only one remains.
F. On a 9 x 7 grid, create a path to lead a token from one end to the other. You must pass though all squares within the grid once and only once. Each square has footprints which indicate the direction you will move. Lighted squares have footprints which can be changed to alter the direction.
BONUS CHAPTER:
G. Matching puzzle. Match up people with an image associated with their profession by switching wires
H. Origami puzzle. Fold paper to create a continuous path to a destination
I. Maze puzzle. Move a diver up-and-down through a maze in an aquarium to reach a chest

Completed Game approximately 6.0 Hours
(including completion of all puzzles, Bonus & Hidden Chapter)
*20 Scene Locations +7 CE Bonus Chapter (+1 HO hidden chapter scene)
Difficulty Range: Beginner
Family Photo:
Beatrice and her brother Alonso are children of Muses whose powers aren't as strong as their parents' so they use artifacts to inspire human emotions, an energy source needed to survive. Beatrice found her talent at a very young age, but Alonso struggled for years to find his talent. Nathaniel has been called to duty at the Guerra Gallery to investigate the strange disappearances of people who have mysteriously vanished shortly after being photographed. Has Alonso finally found his Muse Talent? Are his talents being used nefariously?
Gadget/Helper:
Nathaniel's Tattoo detects paranormal activity and is used 6 times during the Main Chapters. Each time the Tattoo is activated, you will play a mini-game puzzle variation such as a horizontal slider puzzle or rotating hexagonal puzzle pieces to complete the image. In the Bonus Chapter (CE version) Vanessa's Paint Brush Gadget replaces Nathaniels Tattoo and is used 3 times.
Morphing Objects/Collectibles (CE version only)
There are 54 Photos available, some are just normal photos, some morph into other objects, and there is a pull out tab to tell you how many are available in each scene. The photos combine into 5 Muse portraits collages when completed. There are 42 Zoom Zone Palettes that are used to purchase 12 different colors of paint to complete a Paint by Numbers masterpiece.
Hidden Object Scenes: (Match 3 Alternative available)
There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter, including several smaller Zoom Zone HOPs. There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Swatches Finds, Placing pictures with cut-outs over the matching items in the scene, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Multiples of the Same Item Finds, Find & Replace, and Items that match Descriptions Finds. I hate to sound like a broken record, but the HOP's were boring, what happened to the amazing HOP's you had in the recent WS game?
Mini-Games:
There are 20 Mini-Games +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter, including 6 Tattoo-Gadget puzzle variations. Some of the games have multiple layers or multiple steps to complete. The mini-games aren't very challenging and Grandma needs to work on adding more of a variety as far as difficulty-range goes because not everyone is a novice HOPA gamer.

Bonus Chapter: New Start (CE version only)
Alonso has found his talent! Aunt Vanessa offers him a job teaching other children of muses the fine arts. His first assignment is to help a young girl named Jo who is much like Alonso, struggling to find her talent! This is a somewhat short and boring chapter that retraces most of your steps from the Main Chapter. Because you aren't playing as Nathaniel in the BC, the Tattoo Gadget isn't used, but Vanessa's Paint Brush is used 3 times by playing a hidden object game to find 6 different "traces" which are basically highlighted blobs. There are 7 scene locations with 6 additional Mini-Games and 8 Hidden Object Scenes (some of which are smaller zoom zone hops) You will pick up the remaining 9 Zoom Zone Palettes which Unlocks the Hidden Chapter Hidden Object Scene and allows you to purchase the final Paint Colors and complete the Paint by Numbers art. There are 14 Photo's remaining, some of which are Morphing Objects, You must locate all of the Palettes to unlock the Hidden Chapter, but I believe you can click on any missed Pallette in the CE extra's section to jump to the scene to search for them after completing the Bonus Chapter.
Hidden Chapter: Good Memories (CE version only)
After completing the Bonus Chapter, and locating all Palettes, you can access the Hidden Chapter titled Good Memories. Unlike Grandma's last Whispered Secrets masterpiece, this Hidden Chapter is nothing more than a single, one-and-done, Hidden Object Scene where you locate Listed Items on 4 tabs that reveal an object when all listed items are found on each tab. You then use those 4 objects interactively in the scene to complete the HOP. It isn't very creative and it was a huge disappointment especially when compared to their last game's Hidden Chapter!
Collector's Edition Extra's:
8 Wallpapers (all with Characters ὃ) 8 Concept Art Pictures, 29 Movie Cutscene Videos, 8 Music Soundtracks ♪, 11 Replayable Mini-Games♙, 11 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Achievements, 54 Collectible Photos (some of which are Morphing Objects) The Photos create 5 different Muse Portrait Collages, 42 Zoom Zone Palettes that allows you to purchase 12 Paint Colors and complete a Paint by Numbers landscape picture, 5 Main Chapters (titled: Family Photo) +Bonus Chapter (titled: New Start) +Hidden Chapter (titled: Good Memories) The Hidden Chapter is just a simplistic Hidden Object Scene that can be completed in less than a minute and was a huge disappointment!! There is also a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Good stuff: Two collectibles in each scene, lots of HOPs and puzzles, clear bright artwork, and good VO's all seem to promise a good game.
Bad stuff: The story is slow moving and disjointed as well as confusing. You may be able to overlook all that. I just wasn't involved in the story, invested in the characters, or desirous of continuing the adventure.
Please try the demo. The game is not bad, just another of the same old, same old.

This game wasn't bad - and that's about as good as it gets. If you go through the tick list of morphs, collectibles, decent graphics etc, it's got it all but it's just not fun.

I completely lost interest in the "story" and really couldn't care less about the characters. Shame, because I enjoyed Outlive in this series. I was hoping to get a repeat of the HOs in that game where you have to hop from scene to scene to pick things up to replace elsewhere but sadly, I've not come across any.
In short, this is a rather tedious game with very little to recommend it so I won't either. Show less
I don't recommend this game.
