Fortunately I played the demo for this somewhere else so knew what to expect. Please don't be put off by the first few levels .They are not a true indication of this game. At first the cartoon like graphics gave me the wrong idea plus the stupid interactive guide is back but you do not have to use it however I would prefer a proper strategy guide as believe me this gets quite challenging further in..You get more and more challenges and need to defeat the skeletons and turn off the portals and unless you have enough resources built up they just keep coming back. There are puzzle pieces to collect in order to unlock the bonus level in each round. There are 70 levels in this but not sure here if that includes extras for a CE or bonuses. It is a bit unclear. This is different to the Hercules we know but I think it needed a change and there are no speed pills or any other concoctions to take here. I am well enjoying this and yes there is the wonder if you get enough extra in this for a CE but I so wanted this I just could not wait till the SE comes out. It is not going to suit everyone but I really am enjoying this game. I had to change to the normal cursor as the one I started with was not very responsive so you may need to do the same. To get as far in to the game as you can in the demo which will give you a better idea, skip all the banter and don't search for the puzzle pieces unless you come across them as it will get you further in and also play in relaxed to start as I feel it will give you a better idea of the game the further you can progress in the demo. Certainly a buy for me Show less

“Alexis Almighty: Daughter of Hercules” is a new time management game related to the series about Hercules’ labors which I like from the very first part. Our brave Hercules went to fight against Chronos but the cunning god of time cast a spell and made Hercules old. Now all the Hellas is in great danger. The only person who’s ready to stop Chronos and his minions is Alexis, teenage Hercules’ daughter.
The gameplay is well-known to all the fans of Hercules games. You collect food and wood, clear the roads, build producing buildings and complete level objectives. The first chapter is quite easy, and you can complete it very fast (I did it for 30-40 minutes). That’s okay for the beginners. The next chapters make you to think about strategies. At first, I thought that the second chapter is super challenging and impossible to be completed at 3 stars. But then I got what to do with Chronos’ clock: if you find yourself running out the time, just don’t hurry to complete the last objective, wait, use Chronos’ clock and complete the objective. That’s pretty funny, original and interesting because, mostly, TM games require you to complete the objectives ASAP. I bet all other chapters hide their own different secrets like that, and the player just need to discover them to earn 3 stars at every level.
Graphics and artwork differ from the Hercules series. The objects are larger, and drawn deliberately childish. I think that’s how Alexis sees this world (she’s a hero but still a child, too). It looks a bit weird if you got used to Hercules’ graphics but at the same time it reminds you: this is another game. The music is funny and not annoying.
There are 3 difficulty modes in the game: easy, normal and difficult. Collector’s Edition contains extra chapter, interactive guide and wallpapers. All the levels hide puzzle pieces. If you find them all and assemble the puzzle pictures, the bonus levels get available. (Btw, if you didn’t like the puzzle pieces under other objects in the last Hercules game, here you will find the classic version of looking for the puzzle pieces)
I’m sure that kids will love this game for its graphics and main character. Adults will love it for creative gameplay solutions of how to complete the levels at 3 stars (after they get used to this new style). Show less

This is a good TM game and you definitely need to stick with it past the first chapter to get a full sense of its potential. Also it is worth noting that the demo is long, you just need to make sure to click on the “chapter two” “chapter three” etc. buttons at the end of chapter one to get to the next one. I've read the other reviews & don't understand what the problems are. It plays well & is challenging on Normal mode. Pretty graphics. I don't read the story lines or listen to the music, so I can't judge them. The game is fun!

Demo this one first. The new cartoons were very off putting to me, and by the 2nd or 3rd level I'd decided not to buy. Sure glad I played one more. When I first started this game I was TOTALLY unimpressed. It seemed like a kids game designed only for an Ipad or a phone better played with thumbs and gigantic cartoon graphics. It took more than twenty levels for it to suddenly grab me and start to resemble a TM in a style that I am used to and expect. I had already grabbed the game with a coupon.
After a truly repetitive demo I nearly deleted it and was going to give it 2 stars. But suddenly half way through my second world there new features appearing. There were catapults and scrolls and bowls to light, buildings to find and upgrade in the mist, gems to collect, bridges to build with decent strategy needing to be applied. At first all I needed to know was where the hourglass was, pick up the puzzle piece and to make sure I had enough wood to seal off the enemies 'cracks' so they didn't keep returning..and it went on and on and on. (an aside..even if the timer goes below max stars..the hourglass will bring them back if you get to it)
There may be more than 70 levels..but subtract 20 lol. I am now enjoying the game even though the graphics are a bit childish..it's coming good. The 'interactive' guide is NOT a strategy guide, but the arrows that tell you your next move that seems now is the new style for this developer. You can click it on and off at will.
Navigation takes a bit of getting around..to get back to the map to repeat a level you must pause and then choose map. There is an office to upgrade with your stars with memories of the family (Herc)..and furniture/statue etc. Nothing fancy.
All in all, its not the greatest game from this well respected developer, but it is beginning to engage me and keep me entertained. I always say try the demo..but you would just have to trust me that it is not a true reflection of what the game becomes. It is the new 'modern' style of TM, and it even has a button for 'gamepad'..so its not our usual Hercules style game but I will recommend it. As a CE it probably just scrapes in with so many levels wasted on a bad start, so the choice will be whether you need it now or later as an SE. The only extras are wallpaper really. You can skip the dialogue and even a level if you wish. There are three modes of play including relaxed..but I found normal is challenging enough. (I needed the hourglass and fast run/extra resource bonuses always)
A difficult decision to make as far as purchase. I am glad now I did. Enjoy. Show less

... the game turns from easy to learn to hard to master and i completely agree with kkreisman!
the first 10 levels were really boring and no challenge at all but then the game accelerates to an unexpected level.
okay, the graphics are not that great, sound/music is always off and i don't really need a lore but i also recommend to give that game a chance.

When I first started the game, I decided that I would buy it with a free punch when it came out without a collector's edition. However, as I played through the trial, it became much more challenging. I don't like the graphics at all. I hope in the future, it will improve. Having said that, I still recommend the game!

The thing that really puts me off in this game other than the cartoonish graphics, is the constant flashing of resources flying up and down to the left corner every time I pick something up, this developer sure does love their bling-a-ding-ding. BTW, what's the point of having HD graphics only to waste it on huge Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble cartoon animations?
Forgive me for being picky, but Time Management games have been bringing some amazing games to the pond lately and those game have really clever features and unique tasks so when I see an ordinary game with the same ordinary tasks that make me pick up the same stupid giant blocks of cheese wheels that are conveniently blocking my tried and true beaten path, it bores me, and it tells me that the developer just isn't thinking outside of the box. Forgive me for wanting something better, forgive me for not wanting the same game with just a different title...again! The only unusual features I'm noticing in this game are defeating Chrono's Skeleton's and turning off Portals, but those are just new to this developer, they aren't new TM features.
You can play in a Relaxed, Normal, or Expert Mode of Difficulty over 70 levels and each level has a Puzzle Rune that unlocks a Bonus Level (as well as a Fragment Jigsaw Puzzle) in each of the Main Levels if all of the Runes have been collected. There are 37 Achievement Trophies and 6 Wallpapers.
In this Collector's Edition version, you can repair 10 Office Items with the Stars you earn on the levels as well, and there is an Interactive Strategy Guide that basically just points to available tasks.
Basically, the SE version appears to offer everything this version has except the Office repairs, you get all the other features, including the Wallpapers, Puzzle Runes, Achievements, etc, so if you like the game, I think I's opt for the cheaper version unless you are picking this one up on a BOGO sale! I don't recommend this game.
