The first release was excellent and "The Stolen Freedom" is great fun as well. I bought without trying the demo, since I was confident of its quality based on the previous game. The puzzles are logic based and challenging, the difficulty level rising as the game progresses. The storyline is interesting and I love that Terrible Cat with his menacing glare.
Again there are 100 levels and 40 bonus levels. Each unlocks as you complete the puzzles successfully. The finished images are easy to recognize and they are also labeled. I enjoy trying to guess what they are as they are taking form and love the fun variety.
This series is especially appealing to me because the grids and tiles are large, preventing eye strain. The numbers along side and across the top of grid are also much easier to see, in other mosaics games I easily make boo-boos because their colors blend too much into the background. I also love the option of the dark background cells, making the colors stand out more. There are 12 tile styles and 12 designs for the empty cells. They add so much more fun to this already terrific game. I like trying them all. For the colored tiles, I like most of them, not so fond of the lego one. My favorite of the others are the paw print, the brown and blue design, and the bold crosshatch pattern. These options all make the game more interesting, I think.
There are 4 play modes. I don't like Easy Mode at all, placing the colors for you. I prefer the Normal Mode most times but Zen is really fun and forgiving of your mistakes, lets you correct your wrong choices. The boosters are good and simple, they have to recharge after each use. You are allowed 4 mistakes, lives are earned and lost throughout the game, depending on errors made as you go. There are different colored crystals to earn that are important to unlocking the bonus levels. Great incentive to strive for perfection which really frustrates me to no end sometimes. But restarting a level a zillion times isn't so bad, once you get used to it! lol
The background scenes are very pretty in Legendary Mosaics, nice colors though not as vibrant as in Rainbow Mosaics. That, to me, creates a sort of dimness or faded appearance to the graphics but not enough to deduct a star from my review. The instructions are quite adequate, easy to understand and the features and options are great, the settings are basic and the game presents no tech issues.
Everything is really top-notch in this new mosaics series. I still haven't finished the first Legendary Mosaics and now I'm 23 levels into the new one. I do hope we get to see more from this developer, they deliver the quality that we are always craving and seldom receive in games these days. Show less

One reviewer gave the impression that there was some initial guess work in placing of tiles. I can assure you that there isn't, as I played the first ten boards of the demo in 'Difficult' mode, and all was as it should be. Boards progress to quite large layouts almost from the beginning, which will please many.
A fine game her for mosaic fans! Show less

I really hoped “Legendary Mosaics” would be a series of games! And hooray! Looks like it would!
In “The Stolen Freedom” our friends Dwarf, Terrible Cat and Fairy investigate a mysterious crime. Somebody sent to all the dwarves charmed packages taking away the person’s free will. Poor dwarves leave their houses to serve the villain. They build something for steeling the Statue of Liberty from the human world. Our brave Dwarf from the previous game fell under the spell, too! And his only hope is me (or you, i.e. a player). This storyline is cute, fascinating and sometimes funny. There are unexpected twists and a rousing cry for freedom at the end, too!
I adore the Terrible Cat! He is hilarious with all those grumbling, philosophizing, jokes and riddles about cats. I love beautiful graphics and music creating a special atmosphere, great number of tiles to select, and of course I love the nonograms all based on logic and easily recognizable!
There are 14 chapters in the game. Every chapter contains 10 levels. So we have 140 nonograms to play. Every nonogram has the title which we can see after completing the level. Very first levels are quite simple, but the further we move the more difficult the nonograms become.
The player can select one of 12 tiles for colored cells and one of 12 patterns for empty cells. There are 4 difficult modes in the game (easy, normal, difficult and intuitive where the player can make an unlimited number of mistakes) and 2 types of hints.
“Legendary Mosaics 2” is a perfect mosaic game just like the first game of series, or even better! I’m really excited and wait for the next game! Show less

I've been doing mosaics for several months now and have gotten pretty good. I absolutely love these two games, Legendary Mosaics (1) and 2. I love the music and love the options of tiles to choose from. I have so many mosaic games and I think these are my faves. Wish there were more than just the two, though.

I love mosaic games: my favorites are the Rainbow Mosaics and the Fantasy Mosaics series. But I'm in two minds about this game. It's based on logic, of course, but your first few tile selections are based almost solely on chance, and when faced with a board full of 2's and 1's, this can be fairly daunting. However, you may re-play a level as often as you like, so a few false starts are not really a deterrent. The two power-ups (one for a single, random hit, and the other for a block) are charged, not by time, but by the number of correct tile selections you make, so one major strategy decision is when and where to use a power-up to the best advantage.
This is not a "relaxing" game - it is a mental challenge with lots of thinking and planning involved. Which, in the long run, makes for a fun experience.

I'm not gonna lie, I've never been a fan of the Walker family Mosaic games. I hated the cartoon sloth and the boring idea of decorating the Walker living room with ridiculous souvenirs on a shelf. I hated the bouncy, glittery tiles that reminded me of gummy bears, I didn't enjoy the constant bells and whistles of all the hoopla every time I filled in a cell, much less completing a group of cells. I don't play Mosaic games to get wound up, I play them to relax and wind down, so I was thrilled when Jet Dogs decided to ditch the Walkers and ditch MOST of the hoopla...but for the life of me I just don't understand why they still feel the need to include all the flashy tiles when you complete a group? Why can't you include an option to shut that off as well for those of us who don't enjoy seizures? When that option is included, so will my 5th Star! (if it is already included, please PM me to tell me how to access it?)
There are 12 different Tile Options like legos, fabric, and lunar, one of my favorites looks like dew drops. If that isn't impressive, there's also 12 Crossed-off (X's) designs to choose from as well, such as Aztec, pawprints, rope knots, and spirals and there's even a Dark Background mode. What I thought was even more brilliant was that they included a 5 x 5 Grid which allows you to see what each tile selection or combination you chose will look like in the game...absolutely genius! I do think it's kinda funny that you get all these tile options but they don't have a Custom Cursor option??
The choices continue with Difficulty Mode options, you can play in an Easy Mode which automatically chooses the color for you, a Normal Mode which crosses off the numbers one by one, a Difficult Mode that crosses off numbers once an entire row or column has been completed, or an Intuitive Mode which is a Zen mode that doesn't count mistakes and allows you to work out the puzzle by changing selections.
You earn Crystals for completing the mosaics, a Blue Crystal for making no mistakes, a Green Crystal for making one mistake, and a Yellow Crystal for making 2 mistakes. At the end of each chapter, you must earn a minimum Yellow status to progress to the next chapter, and you must earn a Green or Blue crystal status to access the 4 Bonus Levels per chapter. To earn a Blue Crystal Status on a Chapter as a whole, you must earn a Blue status on all mosaics within the level. There are 14 Chapters (10 levels each with 4 Bonus Chapters)
On the Mosaic Grids themselves, there is an Eye that hides the grid, a Color Palette to choose the color bubbles, a Finger or X tab to color or cross-off cells (right & left-clicking works too) and a Heart with the number of Lives or Mistakes available (you can earn more lives by correctly filling in cells) There is a tab to access the tile selections as well which allows you to switch choices easily. There are only 2 Power-ups available, a Sun icon that fills in a single cell, or a Hammer which fills in a 5-cell (outlined) radius. The power-ups refill by uncovering hammers and suns on the mosaics.

I love mosaics games, and my favorite is the Travel Mosaics from the same developer. So I sincerely hope this is not a replacement as I'd rather do a nice puzzle instead of clicking through a, sometimes, long dialogue.
