The Freeplay section is my absolute favorite, especially when it's a larger picture with lots of detail. I spend much more time on these images trying to take advantage of shading and contrast colors. The Freeplay section is my absolute favorite, especially when it's a larger picture with lots of detail. I spend much more time on these images trying to take advantage of shading and contrast colors. The beauty of this feature is that the possibilities are endless because you pick a colored square and then move a circle around to pinpoint the shades you want within that color's swatch. There is an eyedropper that allows you to "grab" a previously painted color so you don't have to worry about trying to remember a chosen color if you need to reuse it later on. Using this feature also takes longer because you aren't filling in predetermined colors and the finished product is so much better!

I've often wondered why they don't offer an option to download your own images in the freeplay section because there are a ton of downloadable paint-by-number pictures available online.

I also love that I can choose whichever image I want, I don't have to finish one chapter or group to unlock the next group. There are no thick black lines, no drab brown & black colors used, and none of those ugly pictures of a cup of coffee or a single lemon sitting in the center of the picture. Most of the images require you to paint the entire scene versus a tiny picture in the middle of a grey page.

I love that each color tells you how many cells you'll need to fill in and it keeps track of the ones you've filled in so you know exactly how many remain unfilled. When compared with the "other" painting series, it's like day versus night because this game has beautiful images, beautiful colors, and every feature imaginable.

I was glad to see only 2 pics of food this time. Not so glad to see very few images with full backgrounds, that being my only complaint. This is the finest paint game we have at BFG and I really love it. The quality is far beyond the others.

The variety of subject matter has something to please everyone. Images are unique and full of crazy patterns and shapes, designs that add interest and detail. The colors are devine and all the variations create great detail and shading. The pics vividly come to life and the end result is gorgeous! Animals and people are my favorites. I really love the vintage ones but they are rare.

It's easy to fly through these collections, especially with most images lacking entire backgrounds. Small means too easy to complete even with all the tiny areas to fill in. But I'm learning to pace myself and also take advantage of the Freeplay option more often. That really slows me down because I have to stop and think about the colors I'll use and where I want to create shading. It's so much fun and takes a lot of time. I can change the colors as often as necessary to get the pic exactly how I want it.

No age requirements or special skills required. Just jump in and paint to your heart's content, get creative with Freeplay. Enjoy! It's a nice relief from the busy HOPAs I play every day. Show less

I was so worried the Art by Numbers series would be supplanted by the Art Coloring series, which I find to be much inferior. Love to see it back!

I own all of these games and wasn't expecting anything less than I was used to playing. After reading a rave review of full-page pictures I was disappointed to note that that was not the case!! There are some but not many. Also, the pictures in level 1 and halfway through level 2 (that's where I'm up to) were flat compared to Art by Numbers 15 which I had just finished replaying. While I seriously doubt the game makers read the reviews, they should.
I looked at every page of the pictures included in this new Art by numbers.
None of the artwork pictures made me want to purchase this.
Stop with the fruit. Stop with the fish. Stop with the purple and blue cats. Stop with the girls in big hats. You repeat the same types of painting pictures in each and every new ...Show more

I find it astonishing that any one would choose to call this game 'the finest Paint by Numbers'. Unrealistic pictures do not make the painting experience enjoyable for me; when has anyone ever seen a psychedelic cat?

I like pictures that are realistic, not something out of a Salvador Dali nightmare. If you want the best paint by numbers, 'Art Colouring' would be my first choice. All the others ...Show more

i always purchase art by numbers and was elated when number 16 came out i only wish i had checked all the pictures before buying this one its absolute rubbish you need a magnifying glass to see the areas to be coloured whats with all the small dots not a game to play if you have poor eyesight cant believe i wasted my token on this garbage played it now uninstalled never to play again what a waste

Art by Numbers is getting continuously worse with each release. Let's start with the colors.

The colors used are thick, ugly and muddy. Each image seems to start with promise, but then as it begins to take shape I see that, like the image before it, the colors are horrible.

I have developed video games before, so one thing I do not understand is why each game in this series uses the same color scheme for every picture. For example, why, in this game, are ALL the colors thick, ugly and muddy? Why not use pastels for one picture and, maybe, primary colors for another?

It makes me wonder if there is not one developer in the company who, in frustration, does not feel the need to finally scream "is there an artist in the house!?"

As for the pictures, I really don't get it. A few releases ago I even went to the trouble of gathering vital statistics for this company about its target audience, in hopes it would use that information to choose interesting images.

But, no! Either no attention was paid to that valuable information or this developer just doesn't care.

Awigor: WE ARE PREDOMINANTLY WOMEN BETWEEN 50-80 YEARS OLD! Not all of us, of course, but ALMOST all of us.

We don't want images of scantily clad women on motorcycles, large robotic creatures, or anime. And, we are EXHAUSTED by all the leaves we have to color. Throughout all of your releases, most of your images are pictures with leaves. SO MANY LEAVES.

Have you no imagination? Cityscapes, landscapes or pictures of items found in a home. A fireplace scene, a lovely bedroom, famous locations throughout the world - there are any number of interesting pictures you could offer, but you offer the same, tired pictures of foxes, owls and other animals, as well as the pictures I mentioned above.

So, Awigor, feel free to ignore your demographic. I cannot speak for all of us, but as for me, I will play your free demos, but if your future releases continue to be more of the same, I will never buy another one again. Without significant change in your offerings, you will never receive another penny of my money. Show less

Well I finally decided to give these games a try. Wow! You don't even get to colour it in. You click and there it is. Would get really boring after even just the one painting. I had to give it up.
This game is for a 3 year old. Totally don't recommend it.
